Great food and great customer service! My favorite thing to get is the chicken Monte Cristo! Talk about amazing! I also like the challah French toast that they serve! The place can be kinda crowded at times, but that’s always a good thing right? Means the food is good ;). I would definitely recommend!

Lady there messed up my order three times! And had the nerve to tell me «I think you forgot what you ordered». Prices charged were more than listed on the menu and my bagel was stale.

I have a love/hate relationship for this place. I think it’s expensive for what it is, but cheaper than Redwood Deli down the street near Starbucks. The fact that there aren’t a whole lot of good food options for lunch around here for foodies usually brings me to make lunch most days. I mean come on, Dani’s pizza is closed on Mondays :-( If I come here, it usually means I was too busy to make lunch. I’ll usually stick with chicken soup or their grilled chicken ceasar sandwich. Salads are pretty good, I just wish they had more topping options. $ 5 credit card minimum

Hot and Tasty is my goto diner. They are always open and have great food at any time of the day. My personal favorite from them is the Chicken fajita panini. It is always good and always worth the money. Hot and tasty is the place to go for hot and tasty foods(pun intended) Go there you will not be disappointed.

I only come here for their sandwiches, the California wrap and Monte Cristo sandwich are amazing! Other than those two items, I never purchase anything else here because the pastries are not fresh and the pizza is just bad. The cookies are old and almost stale, and the sliced cakes are terrible. I know the pastries look enticing and smell great, but just don’t. You will regret it.

I have no idea about the shit fest going on here about this place. I’ve been to 3 different locations of Hot & Tasty around the city,(Upper East, Midtown-ish and now Kew Gardens) and I have always loved their food. I have never tried their savory items, so can’t vouch for that, but their baked goods are not stale at all and the cakes are sooooo good! The tiramisu, oreo cheesecake, pineapple cake. you name it! SOEFFIN’ GOOD! Also, so far whenever I went, service was prompt and friendly. I don’t think I need anymore than that. I now have one right by my subway and I can eat their everyday now and get fat so yay me! :D

Only in desperation will I return. It’s too loud, too crowed, too pricey, and not too many choices if you are a vegetarian. The grilled veggie sandwich was my only choice. It was bland, undercooked eggplant, and a soggy bun.

I was there today, got me a wrap and a yogurt. First I have to say the wrap is like a month old seriously. The yogurt is like a month old seriously. If I get sick I know where to go they have good soup at least.

Worst baklava ever in life. Soggy and syrupy… and over priced :(I was so disappointed and pissed I spent 3.50 on crap. But she did let me slide on the 5 dollar credit minimum purchase. Maybe the other items are better???

I used to go here but stopped going because of the rude red head server who looks like an ex-con

Would stop here on my way to the subway and pick something up. The food was good. My rating is for the service, they were never really friendly just took my money and gave me change. I could accept that but on my last visit, I went in waited on line behind four people. As I’m waiting, a loud jerk walks in the door yelling out his order. Just walked in, ignored everyone waiting and loudly demands a coffee and muffin from the counter person. I expected the staff to let him know there was a line — it didn’t happen. They served the loudmouth before all the others waiting patiently on line. Last time I will enter their establishment.

I enjoyed their split-pea soup and the chicken cutlet, pepper jack cheese, tomato, onion, lettuce, spinach, and ranch in a whole wheat wrap that I custom ordered. I do not recommend ordering any of the paninis or sandwiches behind the glass because they are touch-and-go.

Totally misleading name because the coffee nor the baked goods I’ve tried here(also the hot food) are not tasty and sometimes not even hot. In addition, the customer service is somewhat unpleasant with the workers I’ve interacted with seem annoyed at having to do their job — deal with customers, package food, and ringing up the registers, etc. I’ve got news for them: If you don’t like your job, then quit. Don’t take your frustration out on me. The pizza here is overpriced, too cheesy, and the bread is way thick(like cardboard thick). Sometimes its cold too. The pastries here are nasty also. I’ve tried the chocolate cakes and the cheesecake. I didn’t finish any of it. Gross!!!

This is a small deli/pizzeria/coffee place/sandwich house right by the entrance of the Kew Gardens train station. Its a great place to grab breakfast and lunch. I love the freshly made oatmeal and the egg sandwiches. The paninis and sandwiches are tasty. The pizza is OK, not the greatest but not that bad either. AVOID the bakery. The baked goods are not fresh; they taste stale as if they have been made the day before. Staff is very friendly. They seem to live in the neighborhood and appreciate the customers. Once you been here a few times they will remember you and your order. I really wish I could give them 4 or 5 stars but stale baked goods pushes them to 3 stars.

Okay, I’m going for it. Review number one. Hot ‘N Tasty… don’t think I would have ventured in if a coworker hadn’t told me it was a great place for salad. And, it’s close to work. I can’t complain. Choose your greens, choose your toppings, they mix it up and you eat. It’s really reasonably priced. I can get a great salad for around $ 6. They have pizza, soups, sandwiches and other things… I haven’t tried anything but the salads yet.

I usually go to this place late at night when i take the bus home from work … its located right by the train station where i transfer to finish my journey home… i only take the bus when the train isn’t running right near my job … so i don’t get to come here often, as its out my way otherwise. I havent tried the other Food. but i Love the Garlic Knots. Best i ever tasted. i usually get 2 – 3 orders with marinara sauce on the side.

Mediocre food, prices are decent, I only came here since I was on Jury Duty. The coffee was blah. If you are in the area and have no choice its not terrible, but it isn’t the greatest either.

After serving 12 days of Jury Duty at the Kew Garden Courts, Hot Tasty Bakery was my most visited eatery. It is not great food but good enough to live on during my long days. I can get breakfast, lunch and probably dinner too since they are open 24-hours. My favorite– apple turnover pastry and panini sandwich.

This place is conveniently located above the E&F Kew Gardens train station, if it wasn’t for the location, I do not think this place will get that much business. I stopped by here for breakfast when I’m crunching for time in the morning to get to work. Their baked good weren’t that great, sometimes I think it was from the night before. I think this place is pricey considering the quality of the food. The only good thing is that lady who take my money in the morning was pretty nice, she always acknowledge me like as if she know me for a long time, very friendly.

The only business this bakery receives is mostly from the court houses across the street for breakfast and lunch hours. There is a seating area for pizza and pasta. I agree with a previous reviewer that the quality of food is very inconsistant in terms of taste. I came here after an exhausting day of voir dire, drilled to shame, in hopes that sweets can sooth my troubles away. The chocolate cannoli was sapping wet although it was $ 2.00 which was average.
