Great place in downtown Kernersville. They have a little gift shop. The gardens are beautiful. I have been there for business meetings, seminars, and wedding receptions. Great place. Recommend as a stop when you have to eat in the car. It is a great place to recharge the batteries.

This is my second visit to the gardens. I went a few years ago as a possible wedding venue. This time i came to see the progress and changes in the gardens. They have added some beautiful new features and more plants. I can’t wait to come back in the warmer months to see everthing in bloom.

The Paul J Ciener Botanical Gardens officially opened to the public the weekend of April 9, 2011. After several years of planning and planting, the results are worth the wait. Developed in memory of local businessman Paul Ciener who loved beautiful gardens, these public gardens and facilities are truly lovely. For the April opening Lenten Roses, tulips, azaleas and dogwoods were in full bloom. A Moravian cottage-style garden has been beautifully designed with herbs and flowers newly planted in time for the garden’s opening. Some other plants, including Alstroemeria, normally bloom much later in the Piedmont of North Carolina, but were in bloom(fresh from a greenhouse) for the April opening. I can’t imagine the garden being more beautiful in summer than it is in spring, but I will definitely return in summer(and in fall) to see! The garden is only a block or two from Kerner’s Folly, a wonderful, quirky architectural attraction and a «must-see» when visiting Kernersville.
