We’ve loved En Garde since their days in the East Bay. We were excited to have stumbled upon their Sonoma home and forgot how wonderful their wines are. Fell in love with the Tempranillo and brought home a few bottles to enjoy. Definitely miss having them close by but glad to see they’re doing so well in the real wine country. Christine was awesome and we enjoyed her company and taking us through the tasting!

Great pinot noir, we did the tasting and the service was very friendly, she was clearly very knowledgeable about the area and wine in general and never made us feel rushed to finish the pours. Also a great variety of grapes that you don’t necessarily see elsewhere in Sonoma.

Being in the industry, I was excited to try En Garde since I had referred others to go, since it was in the area of Sonoma Valley. I will never do that again. I realize that I was not a priority guest because of that fact, but received the absolute worst welcome and service I have encountered in a long while. Was almost ready to buy the Rosé, which I was impressed with, but didn’t get much further than that. Two tastings in a matter of 25 minutes. No matter who walks through your door, they are all guests and your reputation, great customer service, experience, and professionalism will be talked about.

These cabernets are soooo good, please do NOT tell anybody about them because they are a very limited production. And if the hordes find out they will ruin it for those of us who truely appreciate well crafted cab and will buy it all up and drive the price into the stratosphere. The Diamond mountain grapes make an exceptional and unique wine. I recently drank a Kathryn Hall cab from Diamond mountain and am now hooked on the diamond mountain grape juice!

My girlfriend and I went to this place per a recommendation from Muscardini. It’s a very small place, but when we went on a Saturday around 3pm, there weren’t too many people. The winemaker/owner immediately greeted us when we walked in. The rest of the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Their tasting was $ 20 for 4 wines, but we had a 2 for 1 tasting card and on top of that we definitely tasted more than 4 wines as well. Overall, I loved this place and definitely may go back to buy a bottle of their Rose and Albariño, both of which were very good.

Felicia was our host, and she made sure we had a great tasting and learned about their delicious Pinot Noirs, Cabs, and other varietals. Especially liked the Magdalena dessert wine(and I’m not usually a fan of Ports).

Stop by and see the crew at En Garde. Great wine, made by Csuba. Delightful and stimulating conversations with Collen and Ferousch. Great time all around.

We received a bottle of En Garde Magdelena Port for a gift. We enjoyed it so much that when we decided to come to Sonoma for a vacation, we knew we had to at least try to find the winery that created this divine nectar. We drove up to the tasting room, along Sonoma highway, and entered a small, quaint, and very comfortable room. We sat at the tasting bar(they want you to sit and take your time and savor) and the best tasting experience ever, began. We spent over an hour sampling some of the best wines. The wine maker, Csaba, and Felicia told stories, poured wine, and made us feel like a part of a family. They create Cabs, Pinots, Petite Syrah, rose, a white, and of course the port, affectionately named Maggie. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this as a «must stop» in the Sonoma/Napa area.

Csaba and Felicia were the best! This is a gem of a place that you must try. It not often I like every wine that I try in a tasting but Csaba’s wines are amazing! Felicia should do stand up comedy, definitely«the place» to visit. Love their Cabs!

Horrible winery. False advertising. Very pretentious. This is a Napa Winery pretending to be a Sonoma winery — except they have 35 dollar wine tastings. Tourist trap. Stay away. Go across the street and enjoy VJB.

Good stuff! Can I just leave it at that? Met the winemaker and he is really nice. The Cabernets at this winery is one of my faves. Stop by and check it out when in Sonoma.

We stopped in on a whim after lunch. You MUSTVISIT. The team in the tasting room is personable, welcoming, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The wines, across the board, are wonderful. If you’re looking for a small-production winery with incredible wines, you should definitely visit.

Unfortunately, En Garde just didn’t really do it for me. Lovely, modern tasting room, but extremely small so larger parties would definitely not be an option here. I came over the Sonoma Valley Crush weekend and you could not move an inch.(Not their fault of course, they were busy!) The man pouring for us was the best part of the experience. He was beyond entertaining and really knew his stuff, but the wines just weren’t right for my palate. However, I loved the story behind how the winery came to fruition and that they had an Albarino on the tasting menu as well. Maybe others would like it better, but the wines fell a bit short for me.

Beautiful tasting lounge in the Sonoma Valley with high quality, elegant wines. Diamond Mountain Napa Cabs and Russian River Pinots— need I say more! OK… Cute wine steward behind the counter, wonderful white wine called Albarino and an amazing Berry Port. I typically don’t like Ports but the Magdalena Berry Port is unbelievable!!!

I have been raving about this place since my stop-in. Magnificent wines and every one I tasted was stellar! The small, intimate tasting room is cozy and the staff is friendly. A must-stop if you want some exceptional wines from a brand you’ve likely never heard of. I hadn’t, but now tell everyone about it. Highest recommendation!

An unexpected surprise — but we knew it would be good since it was recommended from a neighboring small winery. Walking into En Garde is kind of like walking into someone’s living room. Small. Intimate. Comfortable. And just as you’d expect your good friends to do(well, I’d like for my friends to do this *hint, hint*) the good wine starts flowin’ and before you know it you’re chattin’ about family, food and laughing a deep, belly-shaking laugh trying not to spill what’s left in your glass. Reds are my favorite, and their reds didn’t disappoint. Their ’09 Pinot Noir Reserve was a top contender. I don’t want to spoil the family story so I won’t here — but you better hope the owner is there to give you the low-down and tell you how it all worked out. He used to live in Cleveland(so did I) so it was fun to talk about things we had in common while he shared his family’s(and winery’s) history/background. These guys are also a part of the Artisan Wine Alliance!

Great, clean & modern, uncluttered tasting room. But im here for the delicious juice! The Albariño was perfect for a hot afternoon day. The RRV Pinot noir was very pleasing and I wanted to ask it out on a date Even though we just met. The cab is worth more than the $ 78 bucks considering its an ‘08 And has racked up plenty of gold medals. I believe Coleen said there were just a little over 100 cases made. Quick question, Does anyone wanna go in halves and pick up a case?!!
