This place has amazing roasted chicken and all the traditional sides at prices that are lower than fast food. We can feed a family of five for twenty dollars or less here, depending on if we order soda(the pineapple jarritos is the family favorite). The only drawback is you have to ask for metal utensils if you want them, and the tamales are made fresh on Sunday I believe, so get them Sunday and not later in the week for maximum freshness! I am sure that if more people knew about this place it would be even busier, but as it is they are pretty busy. The green spicy sauce tastes house made and is awesome on everything, even the chicken and beans.

Burien location is soooooooo much better! This review is somewhat of a comparison between the two locations. I live very near to this Kent/Des Moines location and have always loved the La Estacion over in Burien– I’m talking 5 stars for that one. So when I saw that there was one by my house, I was thrilled… only to be very disappointed after trying it. My ‘go to’ dish at the other location was the pork tinga. After getting that here, I saw that it was nothing like the other. It was actually very dry and sad, especially for something that should be somewhat stewed and moist. They still had the home-made tortillas which were good, and they typically do have rice and beans. But the salsa bar was lacking. They only have two salsas: one red, one green, and they are both REALLYHOT. I love hot salsas and my boyfriend is Mexican and cant get enough spicy food, but these are just inedibly hot. Its kind of a shame actually because this one is much larger than the burien location and they have a big alcove for the salsa bar, so they could to much more with it than what they are doing. Also there are some stale chips available there to munch on :( My bf ordered a torta because they were so big and delicious at the Burien one, and the one he got was about 2⁄3 the size and not well made.

Disappointingly gross. I don’t know– the beans were the highlight; they had a lil’ spicy twist to it. But SERIOUSLY? Their salsa bar was very sad and lonely. Only three sauces, and all of them were hot! What is this? Discrimination against sensitive mouths?! lol, just kidding. But really, some options would be appreciated. Chips were sort of stale-ish/off. Yet I guess it was nice that they offer chips and salsa on the house. Sort of expensive for what we got(I think $ 7 – 8 for chicken verde enchiladas), especially considering that it has a fast food style atmosphere. Honestly, it wasn’t that bad but I wish I hadn’t eaten there, because THEN I wasn’t hungry the rest of the day, and kept hoping I had filled my stomach with something else instead. Lo siento, amigo.

Went there by myself to get a burrito plate. 2 families after me came in an ordered. Both families received there food before I did. When I did get it, it was cold, the meat was chewy and the sauce tasted horrid. The service was crappy. I wouldn’t recommend this to ANYONE!(on forethought I was the only gringo in the place… maybe THAT had something to do with it.

Had read so many great review about the one in Burien, was really excited to try it! It was meh at best — the tacos were barely edible, the tamales were over cooked and burnt, the arroz y frijoles were definitely old. The horchata was ok. Will definitely not be back. The kids didn’t even eat half and they love this type of food…
