Monarchy Nail Spa

After reading the reviews my best friend and I were super excited to try this place out. But when we came in we quickly found out this is not a SINGLE mom friendly place. We essentially are single moms and of course had our kids with us, they had every intention to sit down and watch movies together while us moms got our nails down but when we walked in, they looked at us sideways and finally just said hi… we said we would like 2 full sets and the lady was like well I have an appointment at 1:30 can you come back after that??? Mind you it was 12:37 at this point… you can’t do a full set in 45 mins? So we just said no we will go somewhere else and they just said okay… we went down the street and got AMAZING service was done within 30 minutes we both love our nails…

I came in last night & I was happy I made it before closing. Luckily, I got my nails done except I would’ve given this review 5 stars but gave it 4 cause the lady that did my nails seemed like she was in a rush to close. Like she didn’t even cut my nails before doing my full set, that was disappointing. Uhm, she also kind of hurt me with the nail filer machine thing, whatever you call that & I told her I have sensitive hands… but didn’t listen I guess. She did a nice job but on one of my nails, it looks kind of crooked… so I’ll be going somewhere else to get a fill or if Queenie is working, then I’ll wait for her to do my nails.

I love my nails!!! Such a great environment. What’s better than laughing with everyone we in the nail shop! Perfect for my weekend and my trip on Monday!!! Thank you ladies so much!!! One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time! I extremely recommend this place!!!

Based on the Unilocal reviews, I decided to treat my mom with a mani pedi and a full set of acrylics for myself. The customer service is absolutely amazing! They treat their customers like royalty. Queenie and the lady that was working with her provided great service and did such an amazing job for my mom and me! My mom is a real picky lady when it comes to other people doing her nails. She always preferred doing them herself at home, but after today, she was telling me that she wanted to go back! I 100% recommend this place!

I haven’t had my nails done in over ten years and I was a bit nervous. Lisa did my nails, and she was awesome! My daughter was with me and we had the best time. When we left I felt like we had made new friends. The nails are beautiful and the price was right. They made me feel welcome and important, and were easy to talk and laugh with. I went there because they had the best reviews around, I will go back because of the amazing experience. Thanks girls! You’re the best!

Just moved to Kent and found Monarchy nails on Unilocal.Queenie is definitely the person to go to! 5 out of 5! She is absolutely great and I’m so glad I went to this place. I will def be coming back. Great customer service and awesome prices!!! Love the job Queenie did!!! Would def recommend!

I just moved to the area and I was very loyal to my former nail lady in California. She was amazing and I have very high standards but this place has made me a fan. I plan to come back because the customer service is stellar. They are also welcoming with a cup of tea upon arrival. They have comfortable chairs and the place is nicely decorated. Everyone is friendly and nice. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Had my Pre-​Christmas Pedicure and nails filled today, what a great experience! I was able to relax and let go of stress prior to shopping while enjoying a combination of good company (Queenie, Winnie, etc.), Hot Green Tea and pampering! Love this Salon!

Misshapen nails. Cut my finger. Left super glue all over my fingers. Don’t recommend at all!!!

This place is awesome and my new spot for getting my nails done. The staff is super friendly and they don’t rush their service. The lady who helped me took her time and my nails looked amazing when finished. The price is great too!

I used to have to go to the nail salon every 1.5−2 weeks for a gel color change because my nails would either chip/​break, my gel would peel, or the gel had bubbles which exposed minor nicks making them look worn. I thought that these were all just normal side effects of getting gel manicures frequently. I was wrong. Before coming to Monarchy, my nails would frequently chip or break. I was unaware of the fact that previous nail technicians had been far too abrasive when removing previous gel, weakening the nails and ultimately leading to another trip to the salon. At Monarchy, the nail techs take their time gently removing all of the previous color, ensuring that they’re causing minimal damage to your nail beds in the process. The same level of care and attention to detail is also used when they are trimming cuticles and applying a new coat of gel. When I watch these women applying a fresh coat of gel, every movement is a decision. Each stroke of the brush is a choice. This meticulous attention to detail results in an even distribution of gel that does not peel after a week. My gel has not peeled, and nails have not broken or even chipped even once since I’ve started coming here. This is my favorite nail salon in the area. Monarchy Nail Spa is clean with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff at Monarchy have superior customer service and an eye for detail.
Btw, this place is cheaper than most other salons in the area, and they have a loyalty program. I am a sucker for superior service and a stamp card.

Came in with my cousin to get her nails down for her wedding. Great service, nice job on nails and what a great deal. Prices are fantastic.

This salon is top class, my feet feel and look amazing. The ladies take such great care and have a strong eye for detail. Your feet are guarantee to not only look better but to feel 1000x’s better.

I cannot believe how much fun I just had my first time at this salon. Their service was absolutely amazing and the friendliest I’ve ever encountered at a nail shop. Queenie did my nails and fixed what the other salon did and actually got really close to the cuticle with the fill and polish! I pass this place twice a day and didn’t notice it. Now, it’s going to be my bi-​weekly stop!
Side note– I hate writing reviews and I actually felt this place deserved my time to write this because they’re that good.

I have been going to this salon since they first opened. I am hooked on their mani and pedi. I go back every two weeks because the service is just as great as the work. They are so friendly and nice, it’s like getting your nails done by a friend, and they do check to see if you are satisfied. When you make an appointment they get you in at that time. Plus the location is so easy to find.

I’ve been to this place twice and will definitely come back. They do the best shellac job every time and for a great price. I recommend this place to anyone looking to get a quick shellac.

Took my mom here for her B-​Day since it was inbetween where we both live, a good midway point. They staff was helpful and fast and did a excellent job in both the pedi and my arcilic nails. I would totally recommend this place and I will definitely come back even though its not next to my house.

Great new place. Glad I discovered it via Unilocal.They tried hard to find the color I was looking for and didn’t make me feel picky. Other salons can get really annoyed if you change your mind and really make you feel like you’re wasting their time do you end so you end up settling on an ok polish just to get it over with. And they seemed to really care about doing a good job and make sure I liked everything. Amazing rates right now too since they apparently opened only a couple months ago. Very happy with my shellac nails and pedicure! ($ 42!)

I really like this place. Had an appointment at 5pm, got there early and they sat me right down. Greeted me very warmly, made small talk and got down to business. She took off my acrylics, replaced them and did my design. Love my nails, the girls there are very sweet and down to Earth. They love to socialize. I got to know all of them a little bit and they have vibrant and unique personalities. Will definitely be coming back. They do a great job and treat you like valued customers. I do recommend.

Since I am not a fixture at any one particular salon anymore, I am venturing to new places to get my pedicure fix. Just like with most cities, Kent has an abundance of nail salons to choose from. I chose Monarchy because of the closeness to my home and also the hours are pretty early where I can get in and out before the rush starts.
This was a different nail salon and now it’s under a new name and management. With this being my second time here, I wanted to make sure that my review was in tact with my first visit. The owner is super nice (although her name has been forgotten). The place is nice and clean because she is actually cleaning in crevices with her husband nearby doing the same thing. 3 points already in my book. The technician was so sweet and did a superb job on my feet. The foot massage with so relaxing that I almost took a mini nap. Right now they are running a special of 10% off your services so this should be another reason to at least give them a try. Close to the train station in Kent and a good amount of free parking never hurt either.

Excellent service. Clean, clean, clean. Very friendly, fun, and lively staff. That’s just the icing on the cake though… The work they do is top of the line. I definitely recommend this place and I will for sure be going back.
