We’ve picked Granite & Marble Specialties based on the good Unilocal reviews and never regretted it. The whole experience of working with them was excellent. Our primary contact Kurt was very professional and friendly. He gave us a lot of good advices on what designs and colors would and would not work in our kitchen. He was always available when we had questions and quickly addressed any concerns.
The person who was doing the template was on-​time, efficient and friendly. He finished the job quickly. The actual installation crew consisted of 2 persons team who removed old countertop and installed a new one from 9am till 4pm. The quality of their work was very good — we did not have any concerns. What we also liked was that the whole process from getting a quote until the installation did not take much time. Our kitchen looks way better now.

From the first contact to the measuring and install, there was open and clear communication. G&M were incredibly punctual and courteous. I highly recommend this company for countertops! We shopped around for some time and were told the same thing by most companies — we would have to remove the countertops, they come measure, and then we wait for the new countertops to be made and installed. No countertops for week (s). Ugh. We were set to go with a big box store when we googled their installer — nothing but terrible reviews. This led us finding Granite and Marble Specialties with great reviews. For good reason…
From the moment I contacted them the process was seamless and easy. I worked with Kressi who was professional and patiently answered all my questions. The measurers called and came as scheduled. There was no countertop removal until the installers came a week later. All of the employees were pleasant and professional. Most importantly, we LOVE the countertops.
Reliable, good customer service, good workmanship… My only complaint is they only do countertops and I can’t hire them to do more projects around the house!

Skip everyone else and get your countertops done here. They had the nicest and biggest showroom I’ve seen and the lowest responsible quotes for my kitchen update. Glenn was working the showroom on Saturday and took the time to show us different pieces and leftover pieces — being the most affordable installer was just icing on the cake. Home Depot and several others just were either too expensive or had negative reviews. It took four guys to bring up the 4′ x 9′ piece of Quartz up three flights of stairs and I’m glad they managed or we would’ve been left no option but to cut the big piece.
No plumbing included so you have to get your own plumber. Everyone cares about their customer service in this company and it absolutely shows.

We live about 2 hours away from this place, and the quartz countertops we purchased for our kitchen and bathroom, including installation was cheaper than anywhere local — even with the added trip charge. We had even told them the quartz we wanted, and they suggested something less expensive but similar looking, all the while assuring us that we could certainly still get our original choice, that they were just trying to save us money.
Our cabinet maker, Northwest Cabinetry & Design (an entirely different, totally negative experience — see my Unilocal review) had made a mistake, and had not made a cutout for the farm sink. Even though they had come from so far away, Granite & Marble Specialties worked it into their schedule to come back in time so that the actual fabrication/​installation process was not held up.
The entire job was professionally done. Overall, a great experience, great customer service.

We found this company thanks to the Unilocal reviews (thank you!) and were so impressed with their level service and quality. We were installing granite in both of our bathrooms. We initially had placed our order through one of the big box stores and then after reading reviews of the disastrous experience through their sub contractor promptly cancelled it.
For the same amount of money we were spending at the big box store, we managed to upgrade the quality of granite we chose and were so impressed with the promptness for installation and the updated appearance of our bathroom. Would highly recommend them again.

We were referred to this company by our contractor. Throughout our entire kitchen renovation, the countertops by Granite and Marble was by far the easiest and most painless step in the whole process, (not to mention having the biggest impact on the overall look of the kitchen!). The measurements are spot-​on accurate, flawless installation, quality stone and ultra fast turn-​around! The monolithic 10’x2.5′ granite island is impressive. Even though the kitchen is still incomplete, we’ve been enjoying the new countertops since the day they were installed.

We only checked this company for our countertops because they had great reviews and we did not have time to check other companies. All review was spot on! Ed was great explaining materials and no pressured sales persons, very friendly. On the installation day, we had wind storm and had power outage so they had to come back again to finish the job. Then, they had to come out again for range cut. Then, we found a area that it did not look streight cut and some minor things we requested to take care of. The not so streight thing happened is because our cabinet is old and it is not streight so it looked like that the countertop was not streight. They came back again and took care of everything we asked. Then, I kind of mentioned to Ed that I wanted to trim down little more for «not so streight» area when he called me to see if I am satisfied the work they did. I hesitated to ask but Ed wanted to make sure We are happy so he scheduled the trimming again. It took three trimming to made it perfect. 3 times of Trimming, put it back, check, measure. During the trimming, I really felt they wanted to make us 150% happy. I did not want to be a picky I told them but he said «we are here so we will do it until it is perfect!» I really appreciated their effort to make me happy. I am going to visit for another jobs soon!

The entire process went very smooth from choosing our quartz counters with Glenn at the showroom to the one-​day installation. I highly recommend using this company for your countertop removal and installation based on our experience replacing our countertops for our kitchen and master bathroom. See below for the long review.
Showroom. We visited the showroom with dimensions of our existing countertops and received a quote the same day. We then decided that this is the company we want to go with. In order to schedule a visit for them to come out and measure, you have to commit and put 50% down. I hate paying anything up front, but based on the existing Unilocal reviews, we went ahead and used a credit card over the phone when we made the decision to go forward.
Measuring Day. The person that came to our home to measure was very friendly and worked fast, only taking one our to make all the measurements and templates. He used wood slats and glue to develop the templates to ensure their accuracy for our kitchen. Our master bathroom was simple, so he just measure it with a tape measure. If you’re not buying a sink from this company, you need to have it at your home when they measure. They’ll take your sink back with them after measuring. They pre-​cut the sink cut out before installation.
Installation Day. A two-​person team worked from about 9 am to 7 pm to remove and install our countertops. They were very friendly, hard-​working, and paid close attention to detail. Keep in mind they do NOT do any plumbing work with the exception of mounting the sink to the countertop, so disconnect your waterlines and waste traps. Plan on a hole for the dishwasher air gap as its required by code, so keep this in mind when you tell them how many holes to core. The floors were protected prior to starting. The demo process was noisy and dirty, but there’s nothing around it. Out of scope but not charged, they removed a sink and faucet from the kitchen countertops that I siliconed the heck out of because I wanted to give it to my dad to reuse. They also removed our sinks and faucets in the master bathroom prior to demolition because we wanted to reuse them. Near completion, they asked my wife and I to look over the project for any touch ups. Though we’re pretty picky, there wasn’t much — clean here, redo the caulk around the sink, and that was it!

Well my wife found this place after searching many different places in downtown Seattle. We live up north in Edmonds and I didn’t want to make the trip to Kent but after reading the reviews she decided to go. I was very happy to hear they had the granite in the exact color we wanted and it was just enough to do our kitchen. Price was reasonable also so I said let s use them. We then set up the appointment any met with the owner to discuss the installation and see how our cut outs would look on the slab. Install was done a few days later and I had to help this place. A+++++++ all around perfect install great service and price was perfect also. Thanks again and we will be using and recommending them again!

We selected Granite and Marble Specialties after comparing several other quotes. Their price was competitive, but my main reason for selecting them was the sense of confidence I felt after talking with several of the staff. They evaluated my project with attention to detail and provided expert technical explanations to my exhaustive questions. My wife and I enjoyed the process from start to finish. Selecting the slabs we liked, laying out our templates on the slabs to our liking, choosing options, etc. The material we selected was slightly uncommon in that it had a satin texture. They did a brilliant job matching that texture on all the edges. The staff visiting our home for tinplating and installation were courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. We were very satisfied with the work at all stages. We even had room on our slab for a new dining table which worked out great. We have more projects scheduled in the future including bathrooms etc. We look forward to continuing to work with Granite and Marble Specialties and recommend them to others.

If you are looking for THE best granite and marble company, this is the business to call. I too looked at Unilocal reviews, and each 5 star review is spot on. I worked with the Kent location and every person I worked with was professional and outstanding at the service they provided. From Ed in sales, to Steve with scheduling to Octavio for my counter template — everyone was simply a joy to work with and have the kitchen counter of my dreams installed. Yes — I remember their names — they were excellent to work with!
I also need to sincerely thank the owner for helping me with my granite selection and the time he took to personally make sure I was getting the countertop I really wanted, having it installed on time and exactly how we discussed. Now — every day I see my incredible counter — I think of G&MS that made it possible.
I do not have a large kitchen and my project is small — I have a humble home. But Ed and the team helped me with the project every step of the way. We searched and contacted a few different vendors for our granite countertops. We chose Granite & Marble Specialties based upon the customer service we received when we went to the showroom and looked around. They were great to work with. A quote was provided to give us an idea on what we could expect, and they even handled the demo on our old countertops. We ultimately chose granite from another supplier and they coordinated everything with the other supplier which was great.
They also worked with the company where we purchased our new sink from, got a great deal on it, and had it shipped to their location for the template for the granite.
They came out and did a template of what was existing, and we then visited the showroom for a template viewing so we could choose what part of the granite went where.
Installation day came and everything was taken care of. They had the sink and all the hardware with them, which were installed after the new granite was in place. They laid down carpet so as to not damage our floors, and did a great cleanup job afterwards.
Really great experience, and a good company to work with!

I looked at 5 other companies. This company beats them all! They did a great job. The installers, Adrian and Vincent, are very detailed when they installed my kitchen countertop and vanities. I am extremely happy with their job. Thank you to Connie, Steve, Andrea, Vincent, and last but not least, Kurt, he is the owner. My wife and I had spent a few months researching different companies to replace our existing laminate countertops and almost gave up. The kitchen companies were not too interested in us because we simply wanted a countertop replaced and not the entire kitchen. Most of them were also booked several months out. We contacted a number of different stone places, but most were indifferent or their prices were too high. Upon reading a number of favorable reviews online, we decided to get an estimate from Granite and Marble Specialties in Kent.
I e-​mailed my measurements to GAMS one evening and I couldn’t believe it when I had a proposal from Millie the following morning. Best of all, the price was very competitive with some others that we had received. Plus, they were able schedule our job when we needed to have it done. Kressi was our sales representative and she was a joy to work with. She showed us samples of the countertops that they had in stock and also helped us to coordinate our backsplash. Jeremy built the template and performed the installation. Even though he had to take out our existing countertops, he was very careful not to damage any of the cabinets, etc., while he was doing it. When the job was completed, we were very happy with the results as our kitchen looked «like new.»
In talking with each member of the staff, I got the feeling that each one was very proud of the work that they did and it showed in the final result. It would be a mistake not to check these guys out if you are looking to put in a new countertop.

Based on what the other reviews said, decided to check out Granite & Marble Specialties. Walked in and was treated like family, very caring and warm staff. Steve helped us immeasurable giving us all the information needed to make a decision without pressure. Told us to go other places and compare, so we did. After checking out the others we knew this was the place for us. You get that feeling of trust that everything was going to be done to the highest standards without having to call a lawyer to complete your project. Went back picked out the granite we liked unfortunately it was out of our budget range. Steve worked with our budget and sent us to a warehouse to look for a bigger slab which we found and he ultimately saved us over $ 1100.00 which was great. We got what we wanted for a price we could afford. Thanks Steve a great man.
Within four days Octavio showed up for templates. He did a great job taking time to explain what it might look like with the different corners and overhangs and took measurements for the window sills just to see if we could fit them into our slab. They worked out. When we went to place the templates on the slab the owner helped us out he’s a great guy too and patient. He takes a photo of your templates on the slab to make sure it is the same when the cuts are made. They measure twice and cut once. Quite nice without a headache later.
Day of install was a week later and took one day. The crew was clean and careful had some larger pieces moved through a tight doorway and staircase around corners and upstairs without damaging the walls. I believe the guys did a awesome job on the install.
I believe with the ease of everything start to finish Granite and Marble Specialties is the best choice to make. I will recommend them every chance I get after the service I received without hesitation. Trust them with your projects and you will not be disappointed.

Like everyone who wrote good reviews about this company, I agreed 100%. I just finished building our 1^st house. While the building process was quite painful, Keelan had helped us through this process so much. He is always responsive, pleasant, and polite. He went out of his way to help me with jobs that they don’t do.
Besides the superb customer services, they offered the best deal. I visited many places and they beat everybody’s prices. A company like this is hard to find. I want to spread my words to help others save their time, money, and headache with the building process. I also want to thank Keelen and Kurt as well for their good work ethics. I wish your company the best success.

On the very first day that we stepped into their showroom, Curt greeted us and was very helpful. He made us feel very comfortable and took the time to answer all of our questions. Curt was so patient with us as we asked so many dumb questions. We left that day feeling that this was truly one of our top choices to come back to. We had visited many granite specialty shops and the home improvement stores and felt more comfortable here. Their prices are unbeatable too!
Long story short, we came back to see Curt a couple more times and selected our granite. The whole team there treated us like valuable customers and they really did go out of their way to help us. The entire experience was great! They scheduled us for the measurements and install promptly. We even got to choose the placement of our countertop templates on the slabs. The installers were the best. They explained their entire process before they started and answered any questions that we had. They also took their time to do a superb job. I refer them as artists as they did some custom trimming for our full back splash behind the range. When they were done, they had us inspect their work to make sure we were happy.
We are totally satisfied with the entire Granite and Marble Specialties experience and will recommend them to all my families and friends. Thank you to Curt and his entire team (Steve, Scott, Santiago, and others). They are truly the best in their business.
