LOVE Gators! My favorite football watching spot. Their breakfast is incredible! Gators spuds is a must have. We’ve tried to replicate it at other places but nothing else comes close. Pair it with an orange beer(light beer with some orange juice) and you’re ready for some football! Great game day atmosphere as well. The service is always great!

First off, keep in my mind I’ve been to this place several times before giving this review and low rating. I’m one of the easiest customers to make happy and this should serve as a good indication of how bad of service I received here. The food at the place isn’t bad and things like their pizza are awesome! However the biggest pit fall of this place is their staff. The last three different times I’ve gotten attitude from the bartenders. First time being out for my friends bday, the waiter rolled her eyes and gave my friend attitude about asking for a birthday drink for our friend who was celebrating. Another time we had to basically get in a debate to have them switch one of their 10TV’s to a college team we wanted to watch. This was when there was no more than six people in the bar. Finally the last time we went I had to play a giant charade just to order a round for my friends. I had to take them back to the bar to show their ID, all while the waitress was giving attitude. Here’s a message to management. People go into a bar to have fun. Not put up with some server having an ego trip.

Food is terrible but service is decent! Bar is clean and no one wanted to fight! Great place to drink just eat before you get there!

I’ve never been treated with the most disrespect like I was treated at Gators! Stopped by for a drink w/my boyfriend. We ordered two orders of double Jameson’s, but little did we know we were served MAKERSMARK. I knew it tasted slightly different but didn’t pay much attention as we were in a conversation and ordered Jameson. Once we were givin the Tab the total came up to $ 70. I quickly grabbed our servers attention and said she had given us the wrong tab. I’m not a huge drinker but have ordered Jameson in the past so I knew that price was incorrect. She later told us that we were actually served Makers mark and since we had drank the first round already we had to pay for it! Correct me if I’m wrong but I shouldn’t have been charged for a drink I did not ask for… I was under the impression I was drinking Jameson the whole time. Not only did the server tell us we HAD to pay for it but she was the rudest server I have ever come across!!! I cannot believe how rude she was I told her she had to fix it since they poured the incorrect drink and she basically said that they weren’t going to change the tab. She went to talk to her supervisor and later came back and said too bad. My boyfriend walked up to the supervisor and the supervisor told him they would compromise and charge us as if they served us Jameson but that we were no longer able to come back. We were 100% okay with that we will NEVER go back! However, she changed the receipt for it to say Jameson but still charged us the full makers mark price. At this point I just wanted to get the hell out before the situation escalated for the sake of those girls. AMANDA J(claimed to be a new employee) was our server and when we asked her what her supervisors name was behind the bar she asked«WHY!» questioned me why I was asking for her name and then told me her name was«KRISTINA.» before I left I wanted to validate her name so I personally asked the bartender/Supervisor what her name was and she said it was«CHELSEA». It’s very disappointing that this place has a bunch of lieing and dishonest girls working for them! Was overcharged, lied to and treated like shit by the employee’s at gators. I will never go back and will make sure I tell all my friends and family to stay away from this bar. this place is a piece of shit. Don’t know how this place will continue to stay in business when they can’t get their customer service down. Hopefully someone will read this review and think twice about visiting this bar. By the looks of the other reviews I was one of many customers to be treated so poorly. & The price was never the issue. It was the principal.

We dropped in for breakfast after having been here for a drink a couple of weeks before and seeing the big menu. We each had a Bloody Mary that was nice and strong but served in a short glass. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my wife had a standard bacon and eggs. The wait wasn’t bad but odd since the place wasn’t busy. It was presented in a nice way albeit a bit dated. It was standard fare. The chicken fried steak was a bit overcooked and the chewiest I’ve ever had. My wife’s bacon and eggs were good. It’s not bad but not great. The waitresses were nice enough but they seem to have a bit of a rough edge. Like they don’t care what anyone thinks. At one point they were yelling out in unison«welcome to paradise» in a sarcastic manner. It’s odd that there was no manager to curtail this type of stuff. The time before we sat at the bar and we watched the pretty, young ladies serving that seemed to not go out of their way for anyone. The highlight was the redhead bartender, I didn’t catch her name so I have to be descriptive. She was very sweet and attentive although she was spread out very thin behind the bar. We will drop in for a drink if we are in the neighborhood but definitely not back for breakfast. I guess I like to feel that everyone is made to feel at home not just the regulars.

I’m at gators right now. It’s Saturday night. Hungry and thirsty. Service is so slow. I am not a person that typically takes the time to complain. But it’s obvious that they are fu**ing up tonight with service. The 2 waitresses trying to handle all customers but its just not getting done just 2 of them. It’s so bad, that a guy just walked up to our table and gave us his pitcher of beer because he was done waiting. the dude walked out pissed making sure that we knew that service sucked tonight. Yeah it just might be tonight that you couldn’t cut it Gators. But it was just enough for me to post this up.

Dear Management, I want to explain my very first experience here at Gators. Having very few opportunities to meet with friends and gather for a fun night, I was sad to say this will be most likely my last time here at this bar. The reason for this is Noelle, our server, was more than just rude. We wanted to play pool in which we put quarters on the table. The guys playing pool reached out to the server in which she(noelle) approached us in a rude manor saying we can’t just put coins on the table if we want to play next — even though bar etiquette is if you dont have change on the table anyone else can do so and they get table next. I apologized to her & said«this is my first here w/my friends so I don’t know the customs» … Noelle said this, «these people have been here 4 years the ‘own this table’ …» When I replied, all is said was that this was our first time & that I didn’t know the customs of this bar and how the pool etiquette worked. She then was more than nasty w/us and said«if that’s how your going to be, then I’m going to just give you your bill now and you can be on your way. I will never go back here as long as this place exists. I look forward to your reply, Regards, Seth W.

Nothing quite like being a regular contributor to an establishment. only to one day be served a large chunk of broken glass in my beer mug, After a relatively mild complaint. I was tossed out for life. . do not patronize gators.

This is a review of only their breakfast menu during the day. Although they do serve breakfast at all hours, I have never been here in the evening or at night. I have never had anything else off of their menu. I have come here quite a few times and decided it’s time I wrote a review. This is your divey sports bar that has pool tables, a few games, a punching machine, etc. And lots of TVs everywhere. The ambiance has more of a diner feel to it. I usually come by here when I have a craving for breakfast menu items when everywhere else have stopped serving breakfast. Their breakfast has always been delicious. The eggs over easy are always perfectly cooked. The hash browns are crisp and brown on the outside and nicely done on the inside. The bacon is cooked to the perfect crunch and not limp. The breakfast items are usually good. They have your diner basics. The service has always been consistently execellent. You never feel hurried and could sit for a long while to enjoy your meal and drinks. The ladies check up on you every so often without being too overbearing. This will always be my go-to place if I’m craving for breakfast at odd hours of the day.

I would have to say this is THEBEST bar in Kent. TV’s everywhere. All the waitresses I’ve had so far are wonderful. I wish I remembered their names because I think they made the expwrience much better by making sure my drink stayed full and being on top of it. Great service deserves great tips. Great food and I do mean Great. I had the Sante Fe Chicken Wrap, its super spicy and SUPER bomb. I wish they showed the UFC fights here thats my only gripe but still 5 stars easy

Good size sports bar that’s fun during the day and night, looking at reviews and people are complaining about the service, food, and noise. Then you should probably go to a fancy restaurant and not a dive bar… not in a mean way at all. They’re food has been great EVERYTIME I’ve had it and our waitress Alyssa who we’ve had twice has been nothing but sweet and attentive. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, a sports bar might not be the place for you.

I went there by myself on a Saturday evening around 8PM just to swing into someplace new and have a cold one. From the street this place looks small and dirty. But when you go in its pretty nice and big. Staff was very friendly, responsive and not bad to look at either. Always a plus in a bar. The customers seemed friendly as people were having a good time. I ordered Chicken Alfredo and was not to impressed with it. But there was a ton of food. I think the price was a little steep for the quality. Maybe start with a cheese burger if you decide to order food. **Note: Police presents is heavy in that part of town. If you are going to have a few drinks it’s probably best to Über it home.

TL: DR they overcharged me by $ 1,300 and said sorry. Omelet was good but not worth the hassle and inconvenience they caused me. I should preface this review by saying my actual bar/dining experience at this place has been positive. The price is right, food is good, staff is friendly, and I like the atmosphere. I would normally rate this place 4 or 5 stars. But what isn’t cool, is getting charged about $ 1,300 on a $ 10 check. The morning after I went to gator’s, I did my usual email check. I get a notification from my bank stating that I have overdrawn my account. Which was ridiculous since I had over $ 300 and all I got was a $ 10 omelet(which was actually good). I called Gators at 9 am, the woman there said her manager would be in at 10 and could help me out. I leave my name and number and I get a call back around 10. I speak with the manager and she let me know that it was an «error» and they fixed it. I asked about my overdraft fee and they said sorry, you should contact your bank. This right here is unexceptable. One of your incompetent employees messed up a charge and overdrawn my account. I can’t use my card in fear of more fees. I have to call you, the bank, and eventually go to my local branch to have it sorted out. You inconvenienced me this much(right before Halloween have you) and all I got from Gator’s was a sorry? I’m not some entitled jerk, but at the very least, cover my $ 10 omelet. That’s not how you keep/treat customers. She did not even attempt to compensate me for my trouble and hassle from a mistake that YOUMADE. I’ve had meals reduced for minor things like long waits but you screw up my checking account and I get a sorry? The way that my situation was handled is enough for me to say screw this place and I’ll take my business elsewhere.

My name is mark and I’m a sous chef. Just to let you know, I definitely know the difference between a bad server and a good one. Let me tell you about Jamie, our fiery red Irish bartender. She is not only focused, but hilarious, sweet, attentive and extremely tolerant. I noticed another customer demanding and commanding disrespectfully at her. I said to myself«uh oh, this idiot is about to get ripped a new one!» Oh to the contrary. She treated this person as though he was an old high school friend having a bad day. I am not distracted with the service unless it’s impeccable or disgusting. Not only was the food great, but Jamies’ attitude made our outing an great one.

This is a cool sports bar. It’s large and inviting when you walk in, and the servers are friendly and attentive. Even the super-skinny really pretty ones!(C’mon ladies, you HAVE to appreciate that!) :) We came in to have some lunch/dinner and play some darts. And, though this place says it has dart boards — the two they have are smooshed up against the wall and extremely crowded with a table for two and some other games in close proximity. Even though there are two boards, there is no way anyone that REALLY likes darts would be able to play in the space provided — it’s WAY too cramped! The food was really good. It came out hot and quickly. We ordered a BLT w/onion rings and a cheese burger w/fries. All really good. The onion rings are crispy and huge and the burger was cooked perfectly. The one thing I wasn’t a fan of was the punching-bag game… even though these can provide entertainment, I just never think that having something like that where people are drinking is ever a good idea. Prices were about normal for this type of place, and it has plenty of parking. I’ll be back — :)

A group of co-workers got together at this place after work on a Thursday. There were about 22 of us and the place was completely packed between 5:00 pm-6:30 pm. The staff was nice and accommodated our large group by asking a table to move down so they could put multiple tables together for us. One of my coworker’s wife and small son wanted to come as well and as soon as they arrived they were approached by the staff, rudely saying they need to leave as kids are not at all allowed to be here. They definitely could have been nicer about it. Since the place was packed the service was spotty. They only had one waitress in our area so it was hard to put in a food or drink order. The food itself was okay. I had a burger and fries. The burger was definitely overcooked and the fries were fine. They also serve breakfast all day which is was unique. The place itself is a sports bar but it is so loud you can’t even hear when people right next to you are talking. Along with all the people chatting they had loud music blasting throughout the bar too.

Ok burger. Loud bar. Gets really busy on game nights. They have a ton of tv’s and darts for the sports minded. The waitress we had was fast and super nice. Not the best bar in the world, but probably the best one in kent.

I’d come here a few times when I used to work around the corner and it was consistently a cool place to grab a beer or cocktail and either bitch about the terrible day we’d just had at work or be awkwardly taught to play darts by a much older coworker(just that one time). I’ve since moved back to California, but I came and met some awesome ladies I used to work with here on Sunday night and I was immediately reminded why I’m a fan of this place. The bartenders are appropriately sassy(Who says sassy anymore? What is wrong with me?), drinks are affordable and plentiful and there is always an interesting mix of people. On this particular night I was told I looked«very young» but an older gentleman at the bar — never a bad thing to hear when you’re rounding the corner to 30, got chatted up by a very attractive Australian fellow and just generally had a wonderful time playing pool and singing along loudly to Bön Jovi on the jukebox. While I can’t see any reason for anyone making a special trip to Kent, if you find yourself in the area and needing a beverage definitely choose to come here over all the other boring bars!
