Friends and Family Moving & Storage

I had used this company before and they were great so I went back. Movers lost pieces to my tv stand, stained my daughters rocking chair then they backed their moving truck in my drive way and took a chunk out of the cement. The manager and I talked on the phone several times and said he would «make it right» but never did. I will never use them again and have let other friends who have used them not to go with them again. Horrible customer service!

I called these guys when two other companies didn’t bother to show up. They came on short notice, were in and out, and got all of the immense and heaviest items my family owns up and down three flights of stairs moved in an hour! Awesome! They are truly friends! I’d use them again.

I knew I was right when I had a bad feeling about this company. The move didn’t go horribly, but they know how to get more money out of you. For instance, they said it took 30 minutes to get to my location. I just googled it and they are 3.7 miles away. So that extra time added another $ 26 to my bill. Also, if for some reason you own a TV, they won’t let it in the truck unless you pay $ 16 for their packing material for it. I opted to move it the next day myself, just to not give them any more money.

When I moved into a third floor condo, the FF movers insisted my sectional could not fit into the building’s elevator or stairway. They spent a full hour hoisting the sectional over our balcony. Of course, I was charged for that hour.
When I moved out a year later, my local and amazing movers, Olympia Moving and Storage, managed to get the same sectional into the elevator.

I scheduled a move with them in March. My condo closing got extended so I emailed them and informed them that I would have to cancel. I recieved an email from them that they had cancelled my move and to let them know if & when I needed to reschedule. I decided to check out their reviews which turned out pretty bad so decided not to go with them and instead called another local mover which had great reviews and they were amazing. Anyways, the day or two before the move, a guy by the name of Ken calls me to confirm the move which was off by a day but being at work I didn’t pay much attention thinking that he was a family member of the new moving guys that I had hired and just had the dates mixed up. Well, the day of the move, Family & Friends come by and when I saw the name on the van, I thought it was strange and questioned the two guys who had come and realized that they were the movers that I had cancelled and explained this to them. The guy was polite and called Ken, who I could hear on the phone from 5ft away. Ken told the movers that I would have to pay a cancellation fee and I looked at the guy in disbelief and told them that I was not going to pay for a cancellation that I did nearly 3 wks ago. When the mover guy told Ken this, he said on the phone «PUT HER ON THE PHONE AND I’LL YELL AT HER»! I could not believe that I was hearing this! This is NOT customer service. I told him that he didn’t have to yell cuz I could hear him from 5ft away and that I was not paying for something that I promptly cancelled. Obviously when the phone was returned to the moving guy, he just said «have a nice day» and left. It seemed like he was embarrassed with this KEN guy. Never in my life have I had this type of customer service and to think that he had the nerve to say that he would yell at me. He should have kept his records straight… obviously they either don’t communicate well or KEN didn’t take my move off the schedule. And I have warned my friends NEVER to use these people but instead use the new moving guys that I hired as they were totall awesome!

Have used this Co. for my last 4 moves. Very professional .
Never had a problem, all items carefully wrapped and handled .
On time, fast workers. great office support .
All you could ask for for a great move .

UPDATE: After three years and a lawyer and the WA State utilities commission I still have NO couch. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY — STAY AWAY and RUN. All of the damages owed were never paid and my couch that was fairly new (Ethan Allen) was never returned. They are not a company I would recommend. I used them twice so I had more than one experience with them.

To cut a long story short, these movers were incredibly rude, unprofessional and ended up costing me over $ 500 for an entire wasted day. And they didn’t even move me! I scheduled a move with them about a week in advance for this Labor Day weekend. They called and confirmed the move with me the night before the scheduled day but then did not show up. When I called to check why they were late they kept me hanging for over 5 hours giving some bogus reasons and then finally cancelled the move on me. Furthermore, when I mentioned that I will complain to BBB regarding their behavior they were shameless enough to tell me that I had no proof of the order since I scheduled everything by phone (I do have the phone records though).
I then had to scramble to find a U-​Haul on the busiest weekend of the year, get friends to help me move, pay some hefty fees to the piano movers I had to get at the last minute and reschedule the cleaners who then charged me extra.
