Baldwin team saved my life after moving to Seattle! They got to know me and my condition and healed my back. They are truly a team of caring and knowledgable doctors.

All of the chiropractors are so friendly and knowledgeable. I love following an adjustment with a massage! They take many insurance, so I know it’s covered!

After 15 straight days of headaches, my desperation led me to try the first chiropractor I could find who was nearby. I got into Baldwin without an appointment, which made me very happy. Front desk girl is super sweet and friendly, and got me going on paperwork right away.
Dr Courtney is also super sweet. She did my initial exam. She used a scanner thing on my spine that measures heat and tension, which I thought was pretty cool. Her husband took my xrays (courtney is pregnant so she cant do the xrays) and they were both very quick to help me, I never was left waiting for very long. I also got an adjustment that day.
The next time I came in, they were awesome again and took a lot of time to go over all their findings from the initial exam, showed me my problem areas, and gave me a book to take home with copies of my scans and xrays and other information, which i thought was totally awesome and helpful.
My headaches got better pretty quickly but now its been a couple weeks and I’m still getting them occasionally. i think my recovery has plateau’d. I plan to continue going until I reach the max my insurance will cover, as my experience here has definetly been better than at other chiro’s I have tried. They do have a room with exersize equipment and they discussed having me start doing neck strengthening exersizes once my pain is less.
They also do food-​drives which i think is great of them, and they have a refer-​a-​friend incentive program. They also do «packages» to help make the cost of visits more affordable and they don’t pressure me into coming in more frequently than I want to.
Everyone who works here seems like a genuinely good person, not high-​pressure sales people like at many chiro offices.
Really the only bad things I can say is that the snappy gun instrument thing they use for the adjustments is pretty painful sometimes. And sometimes it feels like you get in, get adjusted, get out really quickly, but that is typical during the «maintence» phase of treatments. Also, the building itself can be tricky to get in and out of as its on the corner of a busy intersection.
Oh, and they have saturday appointments! Love it!

ok so the office staff is super sweet and nice here.
the bad is the doctor would not listen to me about my pain and what i wanted to be treated for. he never even checked my legs to see if i was straight in the hips. he just had me lay down and used some stupid gun thing on me that hurt so bad that i had to leave work for the rest of the day. they are way more intrested in me coming back over and over again than adjusting my back the right way.

Mea culpa, I no longer go here, but I spent many, many sessions in this office, and while the treatment generally is professional, the results that I got were disappointing.
Garry (the founder) seems to be the most in touch with his specific patients’ needs. His daughter and her husband on the other hand routinely would come in, use the activator gun all over my spine, then use the massager on my back and send me out front to make the next appointment. After a while, I started to think that I was only going back for the same treatment — that I was in maintenance mode. When I suggested other treatments, like physical therapy, physical exercises, strengthening exercises, etc I was met with blank stares.
For a while, the practice adopted a new chiropractor, Doctor Mook, whose treatment seemed much more client specific. For some reason either he left or was let go, right around the time that Dr. Baldwin’s son-​in-​law came on board. Form your own conclusions.
The practice appears to have become more focused on technology (they just installed computers in all of their exam rooms, but for the life of me I cannot see what they’re there for) than on treatment. While they have pretty computerized assessment tools, X-​rays, and various treatments available, they seem to be less focused on care and treatment than on moving patients through the office and getting them back for their next visit, which I find disturbing.
Also, the practice had a high turnover of front desk people, which suggests that there’s some sort of a problem in the office if they cannot keep their staff around.
Chiropractic in the Seattle area is about as common place as Starbucks — maybe more so. If you have insurance paying for your treatment, you may not care about the progress that you make. If you go to Baldwin Chiropractic, just make sure that you know what you are paying for, and be critical about your progress. If you start to feel like you are going back for the same adjustment time after time, you may want to investigate alternatives.

I have had the pleasure (if that’s possible) of using Baldwin for the past 2 monts due to a nasty soccer injury. They have not only helped in my recovery, but they are cheap (or atleast my co-​pay is cheap) and the staff are awesome. Everyone is happy to be there and it’s nice going to a place that is not only established… but is being passed on to the next generation of family members (the owner’s daughter is now working there, as is her husband).
Great people, great work, all around good experience.
The only downfall (if you could find one) is that I wish I could get in and out quicker. Just because you show up early does not mean you get in early. Be prepared to wait (unless you go in at 8:45am on a Saturday… then you’re golden!).
