History
Established in 1996.
Allegro opened in February of 1996. Tonya was just 19 years old but had the support of many families which she had been teaching since the age of 16. Classes February through August 1996 consisted of just one studio room with Tonya as the only instructor and 75 students.
Eventually, Tonya began going back to school to finish her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Cornish College of the Arts and recently graduated in May of 2007. After being in our small 4,000 square foot home for 11 years, Allegro then moved into a larger (10,000 square feet) location in July of 2007.
Allegro will be moving into it’s new forever home in January of 2014 and we are so thankful for all the support that we have gotten from our Allegro families and community through the years.
It’s amazing what the dream of a dedicated 19 year old has turned into!
