Specialties
For over a century Andrea’s has been a Kenosha tradition and for much of that time the specialty gift and treat store for all occasions. Our goal is to create an environment full of things for a good life. A unique shopping experience time and time again is what brings you back to us. Our historic Soda Fountain and Café offers soups, sandwiches, ice cream treats & espresso drinks. It has been our pleasure to serve the Kenosha community over all these years.
History
Established in 1911.
In 1911, young Giacomo Andrea, who recently arrived from the Italy, set up shop in a piano crate on Holland Ave. (now 22nd Ave.) to sell tobacco and candies to the workers at Vincent Springs factory and the other area businesses.
Four years later, Jack, as he came to be known, moved to a store on 60th St. serving ice cream treats at a beautiful Italian marble soda fountain. As years passed, new generations added their imprint. We still served our ice cream, but we expanded Jack’s Café. We have tobacco, cigars & confections, but we also have gifts for every occasion, apparel and accessories, jewelry, bath and fragrance, cards, books and more.
It’s been over a century since Jack opened his piano crate for business. And yet, we continue to value the friendships with the Kenoshans who grew up with us. We hope that our commitment to service and quality will continue to foster the family traditions that were established so many years ago. The good old days are still at Andrea’s.
