It’s been a year since my last visit to the Rail. I had the brisket sandwich. I liked the bread it was on but the meat was dry and not much flavor, some pieces were almost like jerky. The coleslaw had no flavor at all. So I was disappointed this time because my first visit I really enjoyed the food. I’ll give it one more try some time.

I ate here after a glowing recommendation. I had the brisket. It was unimpressive: a little too dry, not much flavor. When the person who made the recommendation asked how I liked it, I told her I didn’t think much of the brisket. She replied, «Yeah, it’s not their best dish.» That would have been nice to know when you were telling me how fabulous the place is. The service was good, and the price is fair. I’ll keep hunting for good barbeque, though.

Called in a larger lunch order for 13 people about an hour or so before I needed it– they were over the top accommodating. The shared tips on picking it up~ drive thru was an option. It was ready when I arrived and they even helped load the food safely into my car. local businesses!

I don’t think we ate the same BBQ everyone else is giving rave reviews about. My boyfriend and I tried the pulled pork and the meat they claimed was brisket. There was no smoke flavor. The pork tasted like a bland pork roast. The brisket was shredded and again had no smoke flavor and didn’t even remind us of brisket. And their dryness was only saved by the slaw and copious quantities of sauce. As for the sides, the mac and cheese tasted like Stouffer’s. The cornbread was possibly the worst I’ve had, and I’m a huge cornbread fan. Sure, cornbread is a drier food, but this didn’t even have good corn flavor to make up for the crumbliness. The beans were a high point, and my boyfriend liked the slaw. Long story short, there’s a dickey’s down the street, go there if you’re craving BBQ. Two stars because the people behind the counter were very nice, and the beans were excellently done.

I’m from the South. I know bbq. This place did not disappoint. Great pulled pork. They actually have sweet tea, which hard to find west of the Mississippi.

Love their bbq! Great place for lunch and more than I can eat at one time. I haven’t tried their coffee or drinks so much, but the bbq is well worth the trip!

Before you read anyone else’s review, Read this: ALRIGHT, here’s a rundown of «The Rail». I’m not some proclaimed foodie or anything of that sort, but my god, this little place is absolutely-hands down, one of my new favorite places to go to. The Food: IS F%@/!¥+ AMAZING. Ya’ll can disagree all you want and complain about the fat(It’s posted they don’t trim, so don’t be a little b!@$%), but the food here is better than what you’d find at Sterlings, Famous Daves, or Texas Roadhouse. So far, I’ve had the Ribs, the Brisket, and the Pulled Pork, and I can tell you that it’ll make you cry. The flavors will completely blow your mind away. It’s tender, it’s juicy, IT’S WHATYOUEXPECTWHENYOUORDERRIBSOR A BLOODYBBQSANDWICH. The Price: When I went here the first time, I thought I had heard wrong. Ladies, Gentlemen, Reviewers… if you order«the meal»(Which is 1 entrée and 2 sides with a drink) it doesn’t even break $ 10. Not. Even. $ 10. ANDTHEFACTTHATTHEQUALITYOFTHEFOODISBETTERTHANCHAINRESTAURANTS– WHYAREYOUNOTEATINGHEREYET?! Final Remarks: I love it. I simply love it. It’s close by, it’s quick, the employees are extremely nice, and I’ll be back within a few days when my food baby settles down. Favorites: Baked Beans and any Entrée. The baked beans are a must get, they’re one of the best items on the menu. The Coleslaw is especially good as well. The cornbread can be a little dry, but it’s cornbread. What do you expect? Owner(s) and Employees of the Rail: Thank you for an awesome experience, I’ll be back soon!

Every time I visit here I go through the drive thru. The baristas are very nice, but sooooo slow and unappreciative. So I know I can’t go here if I’m in a hurry. I always get a different coffee drink, and it’s always just okay. I find the set up of this place a little weird. Espresso and BBQ? Don’t you think you should pick one or the other? It takes a lot of time and energy to run a restaurant, so if you’re going to do that, you should probably just stick with that instead of forgetting about your coffee customers and not pleasing them. It’s hard to go somewhere that you want to like, but can’t seem to because you feel they don’t really care about you as a customer unless you’re ordering their most expensive food item on the menu. I think I’m finally done giving them a chance, and will just save my money instead!

Went tonight and ordered the: pulled pork: sandwich, the bread was slightly burnt and in my opinion really threw the sandwich off! The first thing you taste is the burnt bread which leaves your taste buds in a funk! How does a kitchen person not see that mistake? From a customers take, it’s a mistake that should’ve been avoided! The quality needs to be consistent with every visit! The pork was really dry too, the mayo-based slaw was over the top and should’ve been drained much better next time! As a result, the bottom bun and top bun was not even edible! The sweet sauce BBQ sauce went well with the drenched slaw to compensate to dry pulled pork! I also ordered their holiday hot latte featuring a flavor named pumpkin cookie crumble which was really nice and flavorful! Overall the sandwich could’ve and should’ve been better since my first visit really wowed me with the brisket sandwich! So if you decide to go there, get the brisket sandwich and call it a day lol

Disguised as an espresso shop this is a great little pit stop for some good quality and good priced BBQ. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was way bigger than I expected but in a good way! I had enough for leftovers later. It comes with corn on the cob as a side but be warned they put some kind of hot seasoning on it and it was too spicy for me to eat. The girl working was nice and realized I had my sleeping infant son with me and waited to run the very loud blenders until I stepped back outside real quick. Much appreciated!

Stopped by here for lunch on my way through town. The lady taking my order was very nice and the service was extremely fast. I ordered the brisket with corn bread and mac’n’cheese for my sides. The mac’n’cheese was pretty good and the corn bread had a strange flavor to it like they tried to put pumpkin in it… maybe it’s a seasonal thing; just unexpected. The brisket was extremely fatty. The bread it came on was good, but I’d guess 60% of the brisket was fat. I was a bit disappointed but it was still better than fast food. If they cleaned up their cuts of meat some, I could see this place being really good.

FIVESTARJUSTBECAUSETHEYHAVETHEBESTBRISKETSANDWICHESINTHETRI-CITIES. I drove past this coffee shop many times when they first started doing their BBQ and after smelling it one too many times I just had to try it. Boy was I happy since this is exactly what I was looking for. A good juicy brisket sandwich with a well made BBQ sauce at a reasonable price. Even not on their best day they still are the best the Tri-Cities has to offer and on a good day it competes against some of the best BBQ I’ve had in different states. The pork ribs are also good as well but it’s all about the brisket sandwich for me. The only cons I would say is that their sides do have room for improvement but thats easily over looked once you take the first bite of the sandwich. I would recommend getting the sauce on the side so you can control the portion of it going on the sandwich since occasionally they over do it and don’t forget they make two different sauces thats are spicy or sweet.

This is the best barbecue place in the Tri Cities, Washington. This place has the best prices on all their items on the menu. My favorite is the pulled pork sandwich which is huge with two sides. Don’t be fooled by the outside of this place. Anyone who tries their barbecue will not be satisfied with anywhere else.

This really is the best BBQ in town at a good price to boot. The brisket has a great char and is incredibly tender. Brisket has fat, it isn’t tri tip for a reason. That is what makes it so juicy and tender after hours of cooking. The baked beans are incredible, very rich and flavorful; a meal unto themselves. Small seating area inside but ample outside seating. The one knock? Honey butter for the cornbread: there wasn’t any…

If you like BBQ, you have to try The Rail. Don’t be fooled by the«we-sell-espresso» façade of the building. GOFORTHEBBQ! Brisket is the way to go. Amazing flavor, falls apart, and juicy. Sides: –baked beans are thick, sweet, and smoky(actual pieces of brisket in the beans) –corn bread was good(large portion) –Mac n cheese was creamy and cheesy!

This place is great! We stopped in for coffee and were wooed into an early dinner by the smell. The portions were extremely generous on the family style option… our family of 5 had enough left over for another full meal and then some… all at a great affordable price. The owners were extremely helpful, friendly, and seemed to genuinely take pride in their business. Looking forward to coming back!

Unimpressed by the BBQ flavors and chunks of fat. Brisket had several large inedible chunks of fat. One was part of the fat cap which was a good 3″ by ¾″ should have been cut off before serving no excuse for putting it on a sandwich. The pulled pork was thin on meat and had no flavor, tasted more like turkey. No smoke and no spice. Corn bread and beans were decent, corn and potato were average. When eating inside it’s deafening when the make a blended drink. Seating inside is extremely limited 6 – 8 max. People were friendly and service was fast. Didn’t try the espresso drinks so thus evaluation and rating are only for the BBQ.

Hardly anyone knows that that they are way more than just a coffee shop! I cant believe they can serve such delicious ribs for such a great price! The people that run the place are really nice. They thank people on FB and they like to get to know their customers by name. a real great place for BBQ on the go! Definitely check it out!
