History
Established in 1977.
Sandy’s Fabrics was established in 1977 by Sandy Votaw. Sandy started her business in a 400 square feet space, which she shared with an Elna Sewing Machine Dealer. In 1981 she bought out the Elna Sewing Machine Dealer & opened Sandy’s Fabric & Machines. She then expanded her business to include White Sewing Machines & Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machines.
In 1997 her husband, Frank, retired from Hanford and joined Sandy full time. Sandy expanded her business again, adding both Brother and Pfaff Sewing Machines. Sandy’s Fabrics & Machines has also broadened their product inventory to include quilting fabrics and garment fabrics.
After 35 years of supporting the Tri-Cities (Kenewick, Richland and Pasco Washington), Sandy & Frank have retired and turned their business over to Ed & Karen Jarrett. The Jarrett’s also own Morrow’s Sewing & Vacuum Center in Bend Oregon, which they have operated since 1992. Ed and Karen are excited to be a part of the Tri-Cities!
