My first impression of these guys was great! They said that they did move out cleans and I had a rental that needed cleaned. They sent someone out right away to give an estimate and it was a great experience.
Then the day to come out and clean rolls around… I was told that they would be there at 11. They didn’t show up until 3. No call about that. They left multiple surfaces untouched. They didn’t clean the wood floors at all (there was still junk and crumbs and bobbi pins all over the floors). They didn’t clean out drawers, didn’t clean behind anything, even though those things were specified as things «to do». The cleaning crew had a less than stellar attitude about doing the job, which is somewhat understandable. Cleaning all day isn’t my idea of a good time, but that is why I hired someone to do it! They seemed more interested in doing a quick job and leaving it at that. They even acted put out that they had to clean the fridge which was already pretty clean!
When I called to get my final total and inform their boss of the bad cleaning job, I got attitude and excuses from the woman in charge of cleaning! She did, however, finally agree to send the crew back out to finish the job, which I appreciated.
Upon return, they had even worse attitudes and left very rude and unprofessional «notes» on my check list. Overall, I was supremely disappointed with their lack of interest in doing a good job. I would not recommend them if you want a job done right.

We were looking for a house cleaning service here in the Tri-​Cities. Unfortunately there don’t seem to be many options. We called one company and left three messages over a period of 4 months and never once received a call back. We even met a representative from the company at a baseball game, gave them our info and requested a call back. Nothing came from that. We called another cleaning company, and the owner /​operator kept sighing heavily on the phone, then told us he doesn’t come into downtown Pasco. We don’t live in downtown Pasco, and told him that. He finally agreed to come give us an estimate, and came to our house in a tank top and cargo pants, totally unenthusiastic and had an attitude problem. Our house is not dirty compared to many homes we’ve been in, but is a bit cluttered. We were clearly not his «type of customer» and he really didn’t try to hide that he wasn’t interested.
All that to say, when we called Sparkle and Shine we received a return phone call the same day during normal business hours, the representative was friendly and scheduled a time to come provide an estimate. When she arrived she was just as friendly as over the phone, and also very professional. She took notes throughout the house, and provided calculations based on the company’s rates of $ 30/​person per hour. They send their cleaning crews out in teams of two, so it is $ 60/​hour. They calculate based on partial hours as well, so you may only have to pay for 2 ¼ hours, etc. We have now scheduled our first «deep clean» appointment, and will provide a review after that, as well as updates as we continue with bi-​weekly maintenance cleaning.
As a final side note, Sparkle and Shine is also owned by Painless Creations, a lawn care company we have hired for the past two years to do Underground Sprinkler (UGS) winterization for us.
