Nicholas Anthony Salon and Day Spa

Great Salon with great people. I have been going to Bobby at Nicholas Anthony for over 4 years now and have never walked out dissatisfied. Outside of a phenomenal haircut every time without fail, Bobby has made getting my haircut an enjoyable experience that I look forward to. It’s one thing to be able to give a consistently great haircut, but his ability to provide a comfortable and inviting environment is unmatched by any hairstylist I have encountered. I highly recommend Bobby and this salon.

I travel an hour to this salon to have my hair colored and styled. I found this place initially on Facebook when I won a contest and have been going there for over a year now. The staff are always courteous and helpful. I was having issues with my hair not being healthy and tried numerous salons for solutions. I have been going to Barb and she has gotten my hair healthy and me happy again! I recommended this salon to my best friend and now she makes the hour commute as well!

I went for a bridal trial run, today and I’m extremely disappointed. My stylist (Amy) must need more experience because I literally had to show her how to do my hair. Mind you, I have normal /​wavy hair. I had to explain (to her) how to blow dry my hair so I could get the most volume. I had to tell her how to curl the ends of my hair because she kept giving me these «curly sue» ringlets that looked TERRIBLE. Once I walked her through that she did a pretty good job teasing my hair (without direction) but once she teased it she she did not smooth out the top. My hair looked like a knotted volumized mess with a million fly always! I had to tell her to smooth out the hair because it didn’t look good. *Sigh* I gave the salon 2 stars because the front desk receptionist was very kind and was insistent that I stay until I was satisfied with the final product /​hairstyle. Needless to say, the final product was decent but I shouldn’t have to coach my stylist practically the whole way through. For that kind of service, I will save my money and do it myself. Perhaps, if I went to another stylist I would have had a better experience. However, I lost faith in the salon seeing as how this was the stylist they recommended for my bridal trial run.

I came to this salon for my friends wedding to get hair and makeup done. I am not from the area and had no idea what to expect but was very pleased to see such a beautiful clean salon with friendly staff. All the girls hair looked beautiful. We had an issue when the makeup artist was a no show but the manager took really good care of us and handled it very professionally. They got the bride an appointment immediately at another salon so she didn’t have to stress about it. Overall it was a great experience.

I went here at the beginning of the summer in desperate need of a cut for my curly hair. My stylist did an amazing job. She really took the time to look at my hair and give it a great cut. I wasn’t a huge fan of how she styled it for me, but the cut has lasted almost 2 months so far looking great. I hope to get back in a couple weeks before I move. Hair gets 5 stars. I can recommend this place for all you curls out there.
However. My mom got a manicure and wowza, what a disaster. First, my mom asked if she could get her nails done while I had my haircut, and the receptionist gave her plenty of attitude about how they don’t take walk-​ins. Uh. you could just say no? But they fit her in and proceeded to give a mediocre manicure, which honestly, there is no excuse for. Not to mention it was ridiculously expensive. My mom isn’t one to complain ever, but we agreed that we’ll stick to the cheaper nail salon closer to home. And to top it off (no polish pun intended) the manicurist made a racist comment about my recent trip to Asia. Uh, seriously? Nails get 1 star.

We recently went to Nicholas Anthony for our Bridal hairdo’s. The staff/​front desk was great! They went above and beyond to accommodate our wedding party. Everyone was pleased with their hair. The Bride looked beautiful! A huge Thank You to MISSY who has been so kind to my sister. Missy went to my sisters house to cut her hair so she would look great for the wedding. Missy is so pleasant and does a great job cutting hair! I cannot say enough nice things about the staff at NA. Thank you for making the wedding so stress free!

These days I live clear across the country from Nicholas Anthony — and it is a dirty shame!
Every time I visit my parents, I try to make an appointment at this hair salon. My mom and sister are regulars for both hair and facials. They’ve always had great experiences here, from trims to coloring and highlights.
Nicholas Anthony offers top quality — while still feeling personal, as a local salon should. The prices are comparable to other salons in the area. They also sell high end hair products and fun jewelry.
My sister and mom always go to Anthony himself, but I also highly recommend Michelle!
