History
Established in 1980.
Grieco Family Funeral Homes are family-owned and operated, providing compassionate funeral services for those in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. Matt Grieco, Owner and Supervisor of Grieco Funeral Homes, grew up in both Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware. It was after experiencing the loss of two step-fathers at a very young age, one a sudden death and the other a long term illness before death, that Matt realized he could relate to others experiencing loss and followed this calling into funeral service. Matt has been a licensed Funeral Director in the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware since 1999 when he purchased his first funeral home, Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, in West Grove, PA. Today Matt is most often found at his location in Kennett Square, Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home on State Street.

Business Owner
Matt graduated with a degree in Health Policy Administration from Penn State University in 1996. At PSU he played trumpet in the Penn State Marching Blue Band and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He is also a 1997 graduate of The Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He and his wife Sherry, daughters Jordan and Peyton, and son Wilson live in the Kennett area. Matt is a member of Willowdale Chapel in Unionville, past member of Church of the Advent, Kennett Square Country Club, Kennett Rotary Club & the Chester County Funeral Directors Association. He has served on several area non profit boards including Historic Kennett Square, Kennett Senior Center and Kennett Run Charities and is currently on the board of Union Hill Cemetery Association and The Kennett Flash live entertainment venue in Kennett Square. Matt enjoys the opportunity to play taps and other trumpet selections as a complement to his funeral services as well as embracing his new role as a Certified Celebrant.
