Established in 2010.

The Borden Construction Company was started by my great grandfather in the 1920s in the Triple City area of New York state where he built residences, schools, and churches. While not operating continuously through today, Borden Construction Company LLC has worked hard to renew the integrity and craftsmanship of the original company.

We take pride in our work and hope to contribute to comfortable and fine homes.

John B.

Business Owner

John Borden graduated from the University of Maryland in 2008 after studying architectural history. As a family tradition, he’s always been building, either at home or as a helper for local carpenters. He was inspired to restart the Borden Construction Company out of a love for building things that matter and things that last.

I recently opened a coffee shop and, as I got closer to opening, my punch list grew pretty rapidly. About a week before opening, John Borden walked into the café just to talk coffee and welcome me to town.
After a talking for a bit, John mentioned that he is a contractor and that, should I need any help getting open, he would be available for a few days.
Flash forward four months and John has now helped several times. He repaired a section of flooring that got water logged, built a custom Maple counter (to satisfy ADA requirements), sourced, crafted & installed beautiful chair rails, created a custom menu board & even designed and built a coat rack. All of this plus a few odd jobs to get me through my building inspection.
John takes pride in his work and his passion for fine craftsmanship shows in the details. I was most impressed with the way he works so clean. At the end of a work day, it’s like he was never there. With Borden Construction you will find efficient, skilled & conscientious craftsmanship~ something that isn’t easy to find nowadays.
