Was going to join per their advertised $ 1.00 down and $ 10.00 a month rate, but the snotty girl at the front said the only way to get that deal was to draft my checking account. Not gonna do it! What else ya got? I said. Repl was to jJust pay a year in advance. Nope. Not happening either. They lost a customer.

I recently relocated to this area, and after 3 months of living here and not working out, I wanted to find a fitness center that catered to my needs. After visiting several gyms in the area, I decided to pay this place a visit and to my surprise, it was very decent and affordable. I had never in the past considered joining a place like Planet Fitness, because I am used to a facility that has all of the amenities such as, child care, spinning, yoga, zumba and body pump, just to name a few. However, I love their concept of no judgment/no critics. You see, I used to be an avid lover of working out, at least 6 times a week, but since getting married and having a child, has slowed me down over the years, and trying to work my way back into the mix has been a slow process. Not only that, my confidence level has gone down, which is another reason why I tend to shy away from the gym. But when I workout at Planet Fitness, I no longer feel intimidated or uncomfortable to workout anymore. You will not find people just standing around, looking at you, or themselves in the mirror each time they finish a set, nor will you find people constantly talking on their cell phones; although I have seen one or two breaking this rule, it not that common in this gym. One thing I will suggest is the staff can a a bit more friendly when guest walk into the facility, because you always want to make them feel comfortable and welcomed.

Plenty of equipment and a good but different layout than other PF. Not crowded after lunch on a Thurs. I wasn’t greeted at the front desk, and being from out of town, I usually get a short orientation as to where the lockers are etc. There was quite a bit of garbage in cup holders and the men’s locker room was off, only one urinal mounted way too low and didn’t flush … just odd. There seems to be a employee issue or management issue as there wee three employees with sad face at the desk and none were cleaning the machines or garbage. Also they didn’t say goodbye or even look up when I left. Otherwise a good PF but personnel were bottom 10%.

Great gym for a great price! Started off my new year right by joining this gym. They have so many machines and options, you never have to wait for the one you want to use. There is also a personal trainer always walking around, who will gladly help you come up with a fitness plan, explain machines to you, or recommend stretches and exercise, all for free. He’s very nice :) The facilities are all very clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They’ll answer any questions you have, and help you understand how to use each machine, if you ask. They have 3 different membership options, for the beginner, the committed, and the gym junkie. Some may complain about the cancellation fee, but I think it’s fairly reasonable. I’d definitely recommend this gym!

As far as «bang for your buck», they deserve 6 out of 5 stars. It’s a big gym and never seems crowded. Tons of cardio machines, a nice(albeit small) weight room, and everything is spotless. All the equipment seems new. The people at the front desk are always friendly and professional. No contract and only $ 10/mo.!? Hell yes.

I enjoyed working out here for a while and signed up, paying for my membership just more than a year. But work had me traveling in the opposite direction so I decided to cancel. I sent a certified letter, just as the Planet Fitness website suggested. It was«return to sender» unopened, even with the address correct(as seen in this twitter photo ). Careful trusting these folks.

So this is a pretty decent gym. It doesn’t have all of the perks that some of the bigger places have, but for $ 10 a month, it has everything I need. They do have some more expensive packages that include the massage chairs or tanning(which I obviously don’t need). The machines and the locker room areas are always clean and the folks at the front desk have always been super friendly, greeting you on the way in and on the way out. It’s never been crowded when I’ve been there, which is a bonus. Definitely a good gym to try if you’re just looking to get in a good, quick workout without all of the frills.

Been working out here… off and on :) for about a year. This place is always clean. It has a good variety of people who come here… people at various fitness levels… very welcoming atmosphere. All equipment is in great condition. No classes though:( I enjoy going here.

This is my best gym experience ever! First, when I went to sign up for their $ 99 special, I thought there might be a catch or upsell. Not at all. No pressure to even sign up right then. I even got a free t shirt when I signed up. I went to work out there for my first time today. I don’t know how old this location is but everything looks new. All the machines are pristine. The entire place is very clean. They play a wide selection of music – rock, country, alternative, old and new. Nothing real annoying. This place is just cardio, weight machines and some free weights. No aerobics room. Yay! I found great machines to work out every muscle group. I was super stoked! They even have a separate section to do a 30 minute circuit training if you so desire.(For all you Curves fans out there) The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the employees seems pretty apathetic. Perhaps that was just todays staff since this is my first day there. Time will tell as I continue to go. There was no one to show me how to use the machines but I figured them out as there are instructions on each one. I really like the purple and yellow colors of the machines but maybe a guy would not be so pleased with that! I understand they have free pizza or bagels(depending on the time of day) on the first Monday of every month. I kinda wonder about that since those are such high calories eats. Hmmm. Overall, I am very pleased I joined!
