EPIC Response

I have never worked with company that treated me so poorly. Yes they did arrive very quickly when I had water damage in my condo. However, everything went downhill from there. It took a long time for my insurance company to work out a compensation plan with Epic as they stated their pricing on rebuilding/​etc. are much higher than the average. They finally came to an agreement, and at that time I hired another contractor to finish the work. This should have been the end of it, but a month or two later, I get a 2^nd bill from Epic for larger than the already paid confirmed amount that they had agreed upon with my homeowner’s insurance policy ($ 3,000 plus for about 7 days of them leaving 3 humidifiers in my condo, one of which leakes on my floors during that time… seriously?!). The bill was sent for me to pay, not my insurance company. It took calls to lawyers, threatening to sue Epic, and begging my insurance company to pay the bill which they finally did weeks later. The result was that my insurer dropped me as a client and I literally had to scramble to find a new insurer after having water damage, which is not an easy task.
I have more details to add about my experience, but I’ll leave it at that unless there is a response to this that I feel is not accurate. Never again!

I recently have used Epic to do everything from dry out my floors and walls to removing the damage parts, and replacing/​restoring my condo. They are quick to respond to help stop the damage from spreading. They have very detailed estimates that help with insurance claims… and as to the recovery work– well, it looks better than it did before they were here. I can’t see where the walls were cut back, the wood floor is amazing, and their attention to detail is unsurpassed. It really looks like the place is brand new.
(also, I will admit that this is the second time going through wood floor replacement… I wish I had used them last time. I used a smaller team in the past only to come home daily and cringe– not to mention when the work was going on– they were a nightmare to deal with. Epic does things right. They don’t cut corners. The quality shows!)
