History

Established in 1964.

Surgi’s was founded in 1964 by Wesley E. Surgi. In the period 1978 – 1981 Surgi’s was the largest Trane dealer in the United States. Specializing in new construction, Mr. Surgi was instrumental in the building of the Metairie, Kenner, Slidell and Mandeville/​Covington suburbs of New Orleans. During this period Surgi’s was responsible for 80% of all new construction mechanical permits filed in Jefferson Parrish, LA.

In 1995, Surgi’s changed ownership and is now owned by Debra and Craig Johnson. Mr. Johnson holds a Mechanical Contractors license for the State of Louisiana as well as all Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, St. John’s and St. Charles Parrish licenses. He, his wife Debra and two children, Evan and Rachael live in the New Orleans area.
