Business Owner

Founder Corey Yates got his start in the construction industry in 2005 as a plumber. Working with a long time master plumber, Corey was introduced to and trained on every aspect of the trade.

After receiving licensing in plumbing in 2009, he decided to expand his knowledge and explore other trades. By 2013, Corey was licensed in almost every trade in the construction industry with the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors. Including Residential and Commercial Building contractor, Electrical and Mechanical contractor, Master Plumber, Solar Energy contractor with over 1000 installations. He has also become a certified RESNET HERS rater, and BPI building analyst along with 7 Gold Star energy certifications.

His goal was to become knowledgeable on every aspect of residential energy efficiency in order to provide customers with a complete home energy reduction strategy, as well as making Sunlight Contractors, LLC your full service provider for all your home energy needs.
