Cocoons Day School is a private school that offers preschool through first grade. It’s located on 40 beautiful acres of conservation land. Children love to explore the meadow and go on science hikes.

Meet the Business Owner

Miss Sandy N.

Business Owner

Sandy Nadeau has had more than 20 years of Early Childhood teaching experience. She operated her own highly successful Children’s Center for more than 15 years in New York before relocating to Kennebunk in 1999. She worked as a professor and as the director of the University of New England Campus School before founding Cocoons in September of 2001.

Sandy graduated from the University of Maine in Orono as an All Maine Woman and earned her Masters of Education from the State University of New York. Sandy has been happily married to Ed Nadeau of Kennebunk for more than 40 years and has three successful grown children and five grandchildren. As you can imagine, she is hoping for many more grandchildren!
