Bufflehead Cove Bed & Breakfast

We will return again and again, stayed in the Garden Room, comfortable and very private. The only request would be a KING SIZE BED in the Garden room and no one would ever leave.

The experience of this Inn is one we will remember for a lifetime! Beginning with the phone call with Harriet to book the room that same day! She was so warm and inviting, gave detailed directions to the Inn all the way from Kancamangus Highway and then proceeded to wait up for us until we arrived (after 8:30PM). She gave us a quick tour of the house and our room (The Garden Room) which is tucked away with its own entrance! The room was simply wonderful! A queen bed, sitting area and bathroom as well as a mini fridge, coffee area, and fireplace! Full turn down is done each night with wonderful chocolate nightcaps! Morning breakfast was served on the porch overlooking the water! The food was wonderful and they were very accommodating of gluten allergies! Our first night’s stay was so amazing; we decided to stay a second night on a whim! The feel of the Inn is so cozy and sweet with reading areas by the wood fire! There is cheese and wine each night around 5:30pm and Aaron the son of Harriet was so great with providing suggestions on where to go in Portland and Kennebunk; from drawing out specific directions on the map to telling us to call him if we got turned around!
This random stop in Kennebunkport will now be a tradition for us and we just can’t wait to go BACK! Maybe even for Christmas Prelude which is supposed to be amazing!

Simply put, this place is amazing. The views are spectacular, it’s quiet, and the hospitality we received was among the best I’ve ever had. You can tell that the staff and ownership take a lot of pride and put a lot into making your stay here the best that it can be. Compared to a lot of the B&B’s in the area, it’s relatively inexpensive — probably because it’s a little bit further away from the beaches, restaurants, and shops in Kennebunk. It’s a short walk/​drive to most places that you’ll want to go, though.
We stayed one night in the River Room and two in the Cove room, where we had a glassed in balcony overlooking the Kennebunk river. The Cove room was bigger, but from what I could tell, every room had its own unique features.
My wife and I will certainly be back here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, romantic getaway.

Great place for a nice quiet getaway. We were in the Hideaway room and it is situated with great views and lovely décor. The breakfasts are excellent as well as the hospitality. It is located near downtown Kennebunkport. From our room we have a beautiful water view of the Kennebunk river. We will definitely be back again. I HIGHLY recommend this place.
