This is my all time favorite dive bar. Atmosphere is good, usually never crowded beyond belief, and it cheap and easy going. Beer & wine selection is good, and if you’re hankering for some noms, well they got Totino’s! Wooo! Seriously, it’s a refreshing break from the snoots-ville that is the Greater Seattle Bar scene, and wonderful as a result!

Excellent beer selection. A patio with a view. Good company. All of this added up to a great Thursdate with my main. We stopped in on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. What a great place to spend a sunny summer evening. This is 100% a dive bar, so don’t expect gleaming chrome and hoity toity cocktails. In fact, don’t expect cocktails at all – they only serve beer and wine. Definitely stop in, grab a beer, shoot some pool and soak in the ambiance.

Great view. Pool tables. Tons of beer on tap. Besides the constants flies everywhere Id say this place is quaint and perfect description of a tavern.

Older dive bar. A local institution. Get a cold beer play some pool meet up with some of your friends. This place has been going and going and going for years and years they have the dive bar thing down to a tee. Very comfortable local watering hole.

I have been coming to the cozy for 25 years. It’s an institution. Yes, it’s a dive bar. But if you like beer, pool, and darts and being surrounded by folks just keeping it real? You will have a good time here! If that isn’t your thing, no harm at all. You aren’t coming here for the food. At all. Or mixed drinks. Or a great view(though you can peep on the lake as well as my boat from the deck). Just good beer and better people. Usually.

This is a good dive bar with great people watching. It seems like most of the people here are regulars. Good assortment of beer, you can buy little snacks to offset the beer, and you can see lake union from the back porch during the day if you don’t mind being bathed in cigarette smoke.

Wow, where to begin with this place? It’s clearly a favorite for locals spanning generations, though the appeal might not be instantly clear when you walk in. And you could well drive by a million times without ever even noticing it. There’s a grandfathered-in old neon sign announcing its presence to travelers on Bothell Way – it just says«tavern» in all caps. There’s an even more vintage-looking electric sign behind it that says the name of the place. Space is at a premium here, so you have to look on the far side of the building to see the parking lot, which has one row with half a dozen spots. Any more and you’d be rolling down the hill into the lake, really. You come in through a door with no windows, which is set in a wall with no windows. There are a couple of windows once you get inside, but essentially, you feel like you’re entering a hideaway. To their credit, the traffic noise does not seem to get into the building, which probably explains the absence of glass. This is a pulltab bar, with a heavy emphasis on 4 or 5 older pool tables. If that’s a little too down home for you, you can probably stop reading right now. The first thing on your right-hand side when you walk in is a double-height row of lockers for pool sharks to stow their cues and whatnot; this place has hosted pool leagues for decades, from the sound of it. There are neon signs, mirrors, and posters everywhere, along with retired old coasters glued to the ceiling. There’s a long bar with big heavy old cooler doors behind it, where the bartender reaches for a few bottles and the chilled glasses. They’re beer and wine only, which really means that they’re mainly beer. The staff are super nice – funny and approachable younger folk. You wind your way through pool tables and small room after room, with dartboards and pinball and other forms of merriment scattered throughout. It feels segmented, but in a way that provides privacy. Once you get past the bar, you feel a distinct slope to the floor, running south toward the water. The pool tables have been leveled, but you can definitely feel the slant under your feet. The regulars love to make earthquake and landslide jokes about it. There’s a sliding glass door there, and a long deck with picnic tables and those tarped awning deals you can get to create some shade at an outdoor party. You get a little peek at Lake Washington from back here, and you can heckle people on the Burke-Gilman, or throw coasters at the drydocked pleasure boats across the street. It’s a fun spot to get some fresh air, and you would never guess it was here. People here know each other, and there’s a camaraderie among the regulars. There’s the guy who announces that he’s buying y’all a round, then forgets and leaves; there’s the guy who talks to everybody, then feels sheepish and apologizes for interrupting. There’s the sad-eyed, somewhat goth-ish regular girl who loves everyone but is too quiet to show it, and there are a million other fun folk who naturally congregate to places like this. The bartender keeps an eye on everybody with a big smile on his face. You pretty much can’t help but have fun here.

Good friendly, divey tavern atmosphere. Cheap prices. A view of the lake from the deck where you can smoke. The only thing you could ask for more here is maybe a better food menu but Pub food would probably be out of place here, but a full bar(not just wine/beer) wouldn’t.

Great dive bar. Only serves beer, but it’s cheap! Nice selection in the juke box. Three pool tables, only 50 cents a game, and there’s usually one open to play on. Might want to bring your own cue if you have one though — finding a good one not in use can be tricky. Friendly Canadian bartender. Cheap snack menu. You’re not going to find any culinary masterpieces but when you’re a few beers in, the popcorn or the pizza(previously frozen, but not microwaved… I’m guessing toaster oven) will hit the spot. A few arcade games and one pinball machine. Clean bathrooms(huge dive bar bonus!). And a great view of the lake. But watch out for that step in the carpet. Especially with your beer goggles on. It’s a true dive bar, people. You have to rate it in it’s own class.

The last time I went to the Cozy Inn the bartender said I could only pay with cash because she her shift was ending soon. What? I had just enough in cash to cover one drink which she kept the change without asking. Then when I was ready for another drink she just ignored me. I guess I’ll take my business someplace else.

This is the awesome, laid back dive bar of dive bars. Some you will go into and not feel safe and feel out of place. I have gone here in tripped shorts and t-shirt and gone in a full suit and felt at home in both. The two big things you have to realize what this doesn’t have is no hard alcohol and pretty much no food options. But the crooked floors, cheap pool and views of the lake make up for it!

I didn’t stay long my last visit. Meeting up with Jen and said gang, and a «not full bar» wasn’t in the cards for us. This place is an institution. I was surrounded by regulars telling stories(that I imagine they tell very often) of the first time they came to this bar, back when they were this age or that –there seemed to be a contest of which one got in underage at the youngest age. Some quick math and i realized they were talking about at time period that coincided with the year of my birth. Local hangout, great views, and pool seems to be what keeps this place rolling decade after decade. The staff was super friendly and sweet, the bar is literally covered is old coasters, signs and various advertisements from every era of their past. The selection of beers(tap, bottle) actually surprised me with how varied it was. From swill to craft, they’ve got what you want. It was early when i was there, and I’m pretty sure I was the youngest person there by at least a decade, though as we left to find our group and find liquors, some young(relatively speaking) guys were strolling in for pool. I’ll give it a go another time when beer, wine and ciders will do the trick.

QUICKREVIEW: if you’re looking for a dive bar, this is the best place to go to. Don’t order food as it has probably been microwaved and sitting in a freezer for a month, but the atmosphere and people can’t be beat. FULLREVIEW: I go for the drinks. I leave when I’m hungry or I eat before. Love the bar as it feels like it’s going to turn into a scene from Roadhouse any minute.

Cozy Inn boasts having the coldest beer in town and I have to say I agree! I don’t recall having such a frosty beer in recent memory. So refreshing. They have a nice selection of tabs including lots of local brews. I had a Mac and Jack’s and it hit the spot. The bar is the definition of a dive but I mean that in the most positive way possible. It’s casual, friendly, and has a porch with a view of Lake Washington. From 3−7pm pints are only $ 3! They have just a few food items including frozen pizza so if you’re hungry you may want to grab something before or just plan on snacking here. They have pool tables and pool tabs. Beer and wine only. The owners are very friendly. The outside isn’t much to look at but don’t let that deter you. Give it a try!

This is easily my favorite bar in the Kenmore area. They always have great craft beer on tap and reasonable prices. You really can’t beat their pool tables and playing Buck Hunter either. The only thing I do wish is that they had a larger selection of food(they have chips and oven pizzas).

Let’s get this out of the way first: FINALLYANOTHERLOCATIONWHERE I CANFINDBOUNDARYBAYTHATISN’T BELLINGHAM! Huzzah! Best part? Since I live in Edmonds, I don’t have to go all the way into Seattle either! My first experience at Cozy was great and I’ll definitely be returning. For one, it was a Sunday? Weekday? So it was pretty relaxed, and there were only a few people in there shooting pool. And they had AMAZING music taste. If there’s one thing I enjoy, other than catching a brewski, it’s a relaxing night with good music and pool. The view, from what I could see, was pretty dang good, and they have free wifi!

When it comes to dive bars, I don’t look for much except for 2 things: cheap tap and pool tables. No pool table? No Gracie. This place has quite a few tables for less than a buck a game. If I remember correctly, games are free the majority of the day on Sundays. ps: John, the main bartender, is a sweetheart!

This is definitely a dive bar. If you go here expecting to meet interesting locals and have a fun time, you might be disappointed. But, if you like microwave pizza and pork rhinds, they can take care of you. Standard beers and television screens from the 80’s.

This place is nothing like Double D’s or any other trashy place in Kenmore. Yeah its located on a skeezy road, but its a nice dive bar!
