Had ribs with greens and macaroni. Food was stale and tasteless. It was oven cafeteria food, not BBQ.

If you ever go to the State Fair and come across a vendor strongly advertising BBQ and southern delicacy then this would be their restaurant with the same disappointment. The restaurant style is cafeteria and that should have alerted me to stay away however I gave this place the benefit of the doubt. This place serves most of what North Carolina is known for but in a cheap way. Nothing really looks or taste like it’s from scratch. BBQ pork sandwich lacked smoke, Brunswick stew tasted like canned vegetable soup, and potato salad reminded me of the one I get at Sams club. The people are friendly but it doesn’t help to overlook the food and the bad décor. This would not be the place to get your BBQ fix unless your standards are really low.

The food is tasty but cold. Not a traditional pulled pork. It has red pepper flakes so it is very spicy.

Not open as much as regular restaurants, but this family-run Carolina BBQ stop is perfect for either eat-in or take-out. Great homestyle cooking served by very friendly people. And they have banana pudding!
