I walked in discussed what was needed for a fireplace that desperately needed the tile replaced and ten days later — voila! I worked with Joseph who was professional, helpful, responsive and made a miracle happen on a very tight timeline. The installers were wonderful! Not one piece of dust or debris, showed up on time and were a pleasure. I really had a fantastic experience which was a refreshing change from dealing with a few other contractors these days.

You’re likely to find a nice selection of tiles and ideas in this store, despite its small size. I actually found more samples here than in some of the large, spacious showrooms in the area. That being said, I urge you to be very cautious when dealing with this vendor. In my one(small) experience, I found them to be inconsistent and sloppy in their proposal/quote and lacking in the guidance you’d expect from a high-priced vendor. When my order came in short(by more than half), they refused to acknowledge their hand in the debacle. The owner of the store measured my fireplace and then proceeded to blame my installer for the shortage. So beware if you use your own installer — Mona Lisa will not stand by their quote if you do. We were unable to resolve the issue and I was left with half my tile installed. The job will now cost almost twice what I expected it to — I would have reconsidered this tile choice if I’d have known that. Through this experience, I’ve discovered that their tile and installation prices are higher than elsewhere. Fortunately, I found the same tile for $ 13 cheaper a sheet through another vendor.

The owner is so nice. I think her name is Sally. I was worried about this shop because it’s located in Kenilworth and thought it was going to be way beyond my budget, but they work with you no matter what your budget. She was able to find me great alternatives to more expensive tiles. They also have a kids corner with toys and dvds which is great because what child wants to stand around talking about tile? The only hang up was the samples had to be returned in a few days, which is understandable. I image they’ll order a sample tile for you if you ask. I just didn’t think of it. Although mine got to take one home as a present. I would recommend Mona Lisa Tile. They have a great selection and really nice to work with.
