Uni K Wax

CLIENTS BEWARE. I have never once left a solitary negative review, but I really feel I must warn everyone of a tech that works at this location, Martha.
I made a last minute apt to get my brows done. I typically RELIGIOUSLY make them with either Vero or Cary. Due to holiday rush, both my technicians were completely booked the last two days in a row. I made the rushed decision to go with whomever was available — Martha. I am definitely regretting that choice now. Before I even laid down I explained to her that I prefer my brows thick, do not touch my shape JUST clean them up. As simple as it can get! I knew something was wrong when she was taking forever and she kept on going in wax after painful wax. Everyone knows the routine: you lay down, get your brows waxed, they give you a little mirror to inspect them, you approve & leave. Well, when she finally finished, she did not give a mirror to see them. Did NOT mention that she completely butchered my eyebrows. She was more than ready and hoping I would walk out of there with out noticing. Yeah right. I walked up to the full length mirror in the room and was in shock. Not only were my brows reduced to HALF their girth, they were shortened, and both were COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SHAPES FROM ONE ANOTHER. One of which was even significantly thinner than the other. An absolute mess.
Needless to say I caused a big stink. Now, while I was not made to pay for my visit today (I would never pay for such a hack job ANYWAY), management apparently could not be bothered to come speak with a disgruntled customer — even though I requested it. Thank goodness for Cary! She came out and agreed to attempt to fix my shambled eyebrows. I left needing to go purchase eyebrow filler and castor oil to help promote faster hair growth. Moral of the story: CARY AND VERO are the best techs in this location. And, if you care at all about your brows, stay far away from Martha.

Again they gave me the same girl. what the
not coming back .she left me hair under my underarms. I spent money for nothing. they obviously don’t care about their customers. Heads up her name starts with an E ask for another technician. I’m so mad.

Vero made it as quick and painless as possible. The receptionist had an issue with my account and didn’t seem too pleased to takw the extra steps to use my points, but she did it nonetheless. I’d definitely return.

Once you do your eyebrows with Elizabeth, you’ll never go anywhere else. She is great!

Been to other Uni K. Wax locations and the others are much better than this one. Went to get a bikini wax with someone named Yanet /​Janet and not only did she leave little patches of hair but she also left a small strip of wax on the skin. I was in a big rush as I was late for a flight but realized it later that night.
When I returned and called to let them know (6 days after the initial wax), the girl that answered the phone was rude and extremely reluctant to atone for their error. In fact, she even went as far as to say that they could not re-​wax because too many days had passed, the hair had already started to grow and they wouldn’t be able to tell if it was a mistake or not. As if the hair that she left behind and the hair that started to grow would all be the same length. Ummm it doesn’t work that way! Of course you can tell!
Besides, I wasn’t exactly looking to be waxed again by the same girl who didn’t do a good job to begin with. No apology, no discounts or even a partial refund offered, nothing but pure reluctance about «having to speak with her manager».
Do yourself a favor and go to Uni K. Wax in Doral. It’s a little further away but the lack of waxing expertise, professionalism, and customer service skills at the Town and Country location are not worth the time or money.

Getting my eyebrows done at Uni K wax was the worst experience Ever! I do my eyebrows every week and decided to go here since its near my job, and it was the worst decision i’ve ever made. First of all i’ve never paid more than 8 dollars to get my eyebrows done, and they have always came out amazing. I spent 17 dollars at Uni K for a job done COMPLETELY wrong! The lady put wax on my eyebrows 3 TIMES ON EACH SIDE AND THEN PLUCKED ME TO DEATH WITH THE TWEEZERS AND MADE ME BLEED. Do not, I REPEAT DO NOT waste your money on this place! I had to go buy a cookie to make me feel better b/​c of how upset i was leaving that craphole.

Book with Yadexis! She’s absolutely the best. I’ve had about 8 waxers in my life and she is the best by far. Waxing is painful and can be more painful if the esthetician is not confident in what she is doing.
Promise me, it won’t be painless (it never will be) but it’ll be close to it. You will be in and out in 15 min. That makes it better! Tip that I learned: when you know that they are about to pull the wax. Cough! You won’t feel anything. Your mind will concentrate more on the coughing. (;

I have been coming here and getting my eyebrows done with Yadexis for a little over a year now. There is no one better! Yadexis is always so attentive and beyond nice, you always leave feeling like a million bucks.
The front desk attendant is great too. Always greeting you with a smile!

If you want to have a fantastic waxing experience, go see Cary. She is super professional, sweeter than honey and a die hard perfectionist. She makes me actually look forward to getting waxed (i am a big baby). Ask for her by name and tell her you want the Sarina special :)

Love this place! I totally recommend Veronica! She was the best — made me feel comfortable my second time around (better than the first time I went!!)

The receptionist is nice BUT I hated my waxing experience. I’m very cautious about waxing my eyebrows and I wanted to speak with my waxing lady about how I wanted my eyebrows shaped — nope she didnt even say hello! All she kept saying was ‘lie down’! After looking at my brows in the car I had to return and ask her to fix them! She kindly did so, but I expected a higher level of customer service and simple decency. I left irritated and will never return! Go to European Waxing Center down the street, they’re so much better!!!

I was a virgin… never waxed before last October. I thought I’d give this place a whirl after reading the reviews on Unilocal!Wow, I love this place! It is immaculate and truly feels and smells like a spa. The receptionist is always nice and informative. The prices are quite good considering what waxes run and they offer incentives as well as package deals.
I was fortunate enough to read about how wonderful Veronica is and made my first appointment with her. It has been a wonderful experience and I haven’t requested anyone else. She makes an uncomfortable experience seem like no big deal. Also, through, quick and painless.
I have a Uni.K.Wax near my house and won’t bother trying it because of the service I recieve in this place.

Awesome place to get a full brazilian wax done Veronica is very professional and makes you feel very comfortable the front desk customer service is great. Its less painful than any other place i have been to and i have less ingrown hair as the time goes by. Highly recommend this wax center!

I’ve been going to Uni-​K Wax since they started out. It’s always been a great experience. About a year ago I started going to the center in Town & Country just because it’s a 5-​minute drive from my house. I can honestly say that this is the BEST one (I have frequented a few of them). Veronica is SO warm and sweet and makes you feel COMPLETELY comfortable with a generally uncomfortable situation. I would never dream of going elsewhere!

I just tried Uni K. Wax for the first time tonight and I have to say, WOW! This location at Town & Country is very clean and very nice. The staff is extremely professional and make you feel perfectly comfortable from the moment you walk in. Their hours are VERY convenient. They open until 7pm most week days and until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays (main reason why I switched to them). Also, you can book your appointment online. I did my treatment with Veronica and she was amazing! Her «technique» and their special wax are the perfect combination for a minimally painful waxing experience! Will definitely become a regular here!

Waxing is such an intimate experience. I don’t ever want to feel uncomfortable nor do I want to feel like I am being rushed. This is exactly how I felt when I visited this location.
My first visit went okay and I figured I finally found a waxing place close to home I could go to. My next two visits were not so bad either. I liked one waxing lady a lot, but on my 3^rd visit she was in a hurry. I was disappointed at the service. I asked her if she could wax an area again and I was told that she had someone else waiting. I felt like all she cared about was getting people in and out, and not about how comfortable or happy I, the client, was.
Trying to be fair, I gave them one more shot. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist who picked up the line told me she couldn’t help me right now because she was busy and that I should call back. Wow, really?
Never again. I don’t deal with a business that gives that kind of service!

I have been going here for probably 2 years almost and I am extremely satisfied w the service and customer service! Reasonable prices and I LOVE Cary! In and out in 10! Best full bikini wax hands down.

Came here one day, as I was in the neighborhood for a walk-​in appointment. They treated me like a princess. Hot towels and fast service and friendly as ever.
LOVED IT! Which reminds me, I have to make an appointment soon…
