Lighthouse Buffet

I choose this place because all the restaurant on the boardwalk was closing early. The atmosphere & I our server was excellent. The best thing about the buffet was the salad bar. On the food side it was very bland. The food had look good but once you taste it… you can tell it was missing something… seasoning that is LOL.

Worst restaurant ever. The manager Robert Wyatt needs a new crew because they setting him up to fail. Nasty dishes, awful food, and a very sad atmosphere. Please go somewhere else on the boardwalk because cheap is what you will get.

If this place fell in the ocean as long as all the servers and staff were safe I would not be sad. There are many more places within walking distance of this restaurant that will provide you with a better experience. The food is atrocious. The atmosphere depressing.

Nasty!!! Bread is stale, pizza is gross, fried shrimp taste fried in old oil. Most times when its a seafood place theres lemons nearby. Well they dont you have to wait to get them from the bar which takes for forever! Chicken tenders have no flavor. Small buffett with crappy food. Food is very bland. Salad looked wilted. Will NEVER be back! Oh and if you want extra napkins you have to ask the waiter thats another long wait. You get one place setting and hope your waiter doesnt take them up when he takes your plates while you go get more food because you have to wave them down for that. I took it upon myself to just go ask the front for some because i wasnt waiting another five minutes for that!

Please don’t. It’s like mass feeding cattle. Food quality is ugh. Service is eh. Doesn’t seem very clean. Don’t bother. Go hungry or find somewhere else to go.

We had our Christmas party here this year. The food was pretty good but the service was outstanding! They were always clearing our table when finished eating. The salad bar was well stocked and the hot food was pretty tasty too! The décor was very nice as they put red table cloths on all of the tables and made room for our presentation. I would recommend it for your company Christmas part,

This place is very depressing. I saw the sign buffet and got excited. It was $ 9.99. So I walked to the salad bar and behold, wilted Caesar salad and over oxidized chopped lettuce. Okay so I picked through the lettuce and ate a salad. The hot area was even more depressing. The chicken strips were cold and dry. The crawfish étouffée looked like brown gravy. The shrimp were dry. Everything was dry and cold. The dessert bar looked appetizing probably because they don’t make anything here. I think this place needs a new chef, new management something. Never again

The food is excellent. It’s a great bargain the buffet is awesome. Tons of food and great desserts. I really enjoy coming here and the food can’t be beat.

I am giving them 4 star due the fact that my parents love this place and the feel experience of dining outside. Also, the view and atmosphere is great while eating. The only problem since they have a lots of customer eating here, if you get there in the wrong time, you will eventually see almost nothing on the buffet selection. I felt the selection of food is few especially if you are paying 14.99 per person.
I will advice you if it’s available. dine outside as the view is great and kind of «in your zone» feel rather than inside. Service is also great they are very attentive.

Decent buffet with a nice view and GREAT wait staff. The selection of buffet items is varied, but small. The food was OK. This is a good place for large families with kids under 10 and older folks. They do have a bar, which was nice.

I have lived in League City for 5 years and I finally decided to try this place with my children. I have heard mixed reviews but what the heck let’s check it out. Walked in and was pleasantly greeted and the atmosphere and décor were pretty nice. From a distance the buffet looked pretty good to. The salad section was pretty decent and the food section didn’t have as many choices as I would have hoped. This is definitely a retired persons restaurant. On a scale from 1 – 10 this place is a solid 5. Just not the place for me but try it yourself it might work for you. Clean and a outside seating with a nice view.

I just went in the restaurant we had a coupon for crazy Monday’s for kids I asked the lady that was at the front about it. She said how old is your daughter I told her 11 and she said very rudely she’s an adult then and you can go to another restaurant and use another coupon. I asked how much is regular price The way she acted and spoke to me I just said never mind I will take my business somewhere else. I asked for a manager she said she was the only manager. When I walked out that girl and a curly head boy where laughing. I will never go back and that was our first time.

For a buffet, it was surprisingly good. Better than other buffets we have been to. I personally enjoyed the mini tamales, fried shrimp and the mashed potatoes. My boyfriend had a bunch of the steamed shrimp, the sweet potatoes and a few other things. The cookies were a little dry but the rest of the desserts were great. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs with an 8 month old. Worth the money.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a restaurant without a line on a Friday evening on the Kemah boardwalk, and now I know why… For $ 14.99 per adult you barely get what you pay for.
The service was IMPECCABLE (I’ll give them that), but the restaurant was not clean, dirty tables everywhere, children running here and there, and do NOT get my started on the bathrooms…
As for the food, it is like eating two day old Landry’s Seafood. Nothing stood out to me on the buffet. I was excited to see peel-​and-​eat shrimp — but they tasted horrible. The cajun fish was decent, but nothing else was memorable.
We sat outside, I definitely enjoyed watching the boats come in and go out to sea; watching that was way better than visiting the buffet line.
Overall — If you’re on a field trip to Kemah and have got a bunch of kids to feed, this is your place! If not, put yourself on an hour long wait somewhere — it will be worth it.

I will never come back to this place if it was the last thing on earth, I wouldn’t even let my dog eat this food. First of all the hostess skipped over our party (party of 6) so I walked up to the stand & mentioned that we have been here for quite some time if she could check and see where we are on the seatting list Because other parties that came in after us had been seated. She said that they called us and I was standing there the whole time & our party was not called. So I said Ok can we JUST be seated. This other hostess said that we had to go back to the bottom of the list. I said no just please seat us. The hostess yelled at my daughter in law and claimed that she had called us several times they never apologized for the mix up or offer us a free beverage for the inconvenience. We finally got seated. We walk up to the buffet and got very disappointed. Poor selection barely warm in temperature. No taste I felt like I was eating food in a old folks home. We asked to speak to the main manager and he was just as rude as the hostess. The only thing that was decent in our dinning experience was the waitress see was very professional & pleasent I will never come back or recommend this to anyone. I have worked in fine dinning & family restaurants and I could never treat customers in such a manner and expect them to return. VERY DISAPPOINTED! 1 star because we can not give no stars.

Not too bad. Sit on the balcony of possible food was good but not great. Fish was all good. Salad bar was nice.

I didn’t expect much, but it was terrible. Furrs buffet is 10x better. What topped it off for me was that I left $ 20 tip cash and was also charged $ 20 on my card for tip.

Food is good for a buffet, great bar, best water view to watch the boats go by. Don’t except lobster and crab it’s a cheap buffet
