We stopped here for lunch while doing the Kelseyville area Quilt Trail stops. I had the clubhouse with fries and a house salad with ranch. My son had french dip sandwich with coleslaw. My mom got the cheeseburger with fries. My sister got the patty melt with fries. The salad was okay, it was a salad, ha. The club was okay, the bacon should have crispy but the bread was nice. Everyone else liked their food, definitely a place to consider when in the area.

For some reason my friends and family aren’t willing to eat at at my favorite Lake County restaurant every time we’re in town, so Lyndall’s is usually the next choice. It is a small place so it doesn’t take too many people inside for it to feel kind of cramped, but they do also have seating on the patio. The staff is very friendly. Most of the times I’ve been here the service was pretty slow. I don’t recommend eating here if you’re in a hurry. This usually isn’t a problem for me, although my daughter tends to get impatient. They have several TVs which thrilled my boyfriend. We thought we were going to be in town when his team played and we weren’t really sure where in Lake County we could go that would be showing the Denver Broncos. We wound up leaving in time to get home for the game, but he was glad to know that in the future Lyndall’s would be the place to go! Last time I was there I had the belgian waffle and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were a little disappointing. The time before that I had the quesadilla burger. It was good but the beef was a little bland. I only about ½ the burger and took the other ½ out. I’d had the mushroom swiss burger in the past and really liked it. After reading the reviews, I’ll try the clam chowder next time I’m there.

Tiny little sports bar in downtown Kelseyville. It’s a quaint little restaurant with patio seating and a few TVs. You can watch sports here but not a «sports bar» per say. Food is decent but I wouldn’t say it is spectacular. I would give it another try though.

Good breakfast. Don’t go for dinner or if you do order a burger. Been there 3 times for dinner. The food is always way over cooked. If your are going to offer home cooked meals then hire a better chef. Too much garlic or no flavor at all. Salad with wilted brown greens in it. Terrible. Their prices are too high for the crap they serve for dinner.

Great place to eat in Kelseyville, I try to go there as often as I can because I know the food is good and plentiful. Most of the time I am able to split a meal with my wife as we can’t possibly eat the whole meal by ourselves with out being stuffed. The service is personable however when they get busy it tends to be a bit slow but most of the time I don’t care because I’m not in a big hurry. The prices are ok, there are other places thad do charge a bit less. I didn’t give it five stars because they actually charge me to pay with my ATM or credit card. Most of the time I do pay with cash but that’s a bit much.

My husband, daughter and I are from MA and in Lake County looking for land. We had dinner at Lydall’s on a Monday night. The food was OUTSTANDING, the service EXCEPTIONAL. Small and cozy place with a outdoor dining area. Was able to watch the Giants game on the outside patio. We started with wings, cooked perfectly with just the right amount of heat. For dinner we had scallops(delish) and a perfectly seasoned and cooked ribeye steak. Everything was top notch and the prices can’t be beat. Our waitress was fantastic. Right on top of every beer refill, plates being cleared, etc… We spent about 2 hours here and had a great time. Highly recommend this place.

So you want to eat good food after 7pm on a monday night in Lakeport/Kelseyville? Good Luck. Just go here. The service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive both time I’ve eaten there. That first night was a fortunate find. I had a ‘special’ dish of lobster fettuccine alfredo. I was a little hesitant, as we were hours from the coast. All I can say is WOW! This was awesome! The lobster was fresh and tasty, and the Alfredo’s creamy-cheesy goodness came w/a veggie soup that tasted equally rich and home made-by-mom. I’m not sure why other reviewers need ‘space’ to eat… Maybe they like to play musical chairs??? This restaurant is no smaller than other small restaurants, and there is ample space to get in and out of your seat– and I’m fat. As far as the service, I felt like a guest, not a customer– and that’s a good thing. Been there three times and I already feel like a regular. The second week the waitress remembered me, and that always make customers feel welcome. Keep up the good work, I’ll be back, hopefully on a day w/lobster fettuccine alfredo!

Original Review: «Definitely my favorite place to eat in Kelseyville. I’ve enjoyed burgers, fried chicken, omelets, sandwiches, fish tacos, onion rings, and more. Almost everything has been delicious and well worth the price. I will say that the burgers were better when they first opened — it almost seems like they have switched hamburger vendors or are using frozen patties now — but they are still delicious. My sons usually get the fish and chips which I plan to get next time because they always look amazing. The waitresses are friendly, remember you when you come back, and do their jobs well. Mike(the owner) is a hard worker, very friendly, treats you like family, and is not above being your waiter or filling your water glasses. Mike is also involved with the community and very supportive of our local schools and athletic programs. I *never* give 5 stars [because Unilocal!words it «As good as it gets!”] and wish I could do 4.5 stars here, but they are a wonderful place to eat and I do recommend it. « Updated Review: Recently there seems to have been some changes in the supplier, but the restaurant is still good. Some of my favorites(burgers, for example) seem to be made from frozen patties/supplies. And the service, while still really friendly, has been slower. Again, I would still eat here over many of the other places in town, but I am really hoping they make a move back to quality, fresh ingredients.

On three recent visits to Lydalls we’ve had very acceptable dinners while watching Olympics on their first-rate TV’s. Twice we’ve enjoyed the almost private back room with its very large screen TV, separated from the rest of the restaurant. Steaks are very good, cooked to order. Chicken marsala, was tasty both times although not at the level of Zino’s and not quite as good as at Siciliy’s. Vegetables and salads are beautifully done. . delicious and very healthy; for example broccoli was crisp and delicious — expertly prepared — and rice was exceptionally good. Salad dressing is always served on the side. Home made pies are excellent, with wide selection available. Appreciate the judiciously low use of salt in the food. The only slight negative was the limited selection of beers; surprisingly nothing available on draft. On a Tuesday, Friday and Monday night we had three different waitresses.. all exceptionally friendly and helpful, there when needed but not obtrusive. Pictures of local Kelseyville athletic teams posted on the wall are fascinating.. some going back decades.

The search for the best eats in Lake County is over… The owner/waiter is very friendly and fun to talk to. Everything is made from scratch. He stated the only things that come in frozen are the fries and buffalo wings. We were lucky enough to come on Fried Chicken Friday, perfect serving with fresh mash and slaw. I will be back for the Meatball sub, and the 12 different styles of Bennedict;s…Very kid friendly as well, sports on all the T. V’s and local athletes cover the walls…

I rarely give a place 5 stars, this is one of em. I walked my way up the street from the brick bar, since Kelseyville was doing one of it’s summer Thursday street fairs, and I was in the mood for a burger. People told me this place does the best burgers in town, and I was going to find out if it was true(it is!) I popped in, sat down, and in just a sec the waitress greeted me with a smile. That’s down-home small town friendly goodness. So I ordered a shock top beer which came with a slice of orange and glancing the menu I got one of their massive western burgers, cooked medium rare, which had bacon and yummy fixins, bbq sauce and fries.(Sure, you can opt for a green salad or potato, but I was in a western mood and that seemed perfect). The place was fairly quiet on a Thursday night but I can imagine it gets busy sometimes. People are dang friendly, even the people sitting around the tables had a positive vibe goin, as you would expect. Anyway, I finished my burger and had myself another beer, ordered to go because when they have the street fair you can walk down the street with alcohol hehe, coolness. In Canada, you have french fries with grave and cheese curd melted on it and this is called poutine. The next best thing is to just get some gravy and pour it over your fries, which I told the gal I had a strange request, she complied, and I had gravy covered fries in no time, which went really really well with my awesome cheeseburger. I was in nirvana practically, this was the best dang burger I’ve had in the past few years(except what my wife makes, which is the best in the world of course!) — Alberta Canada has great steaks cooked or not cooked as raw as you like, but they usually make your burgers overly crispy well-done because people are scared of mad cow disease or some imaginary health issues. Not so in California(at least not that issue, lol!) Service was awesome. Beer was $ 3 a pop cheap — if your ever on main street lake county kelseyville, then go there! They have outdoor and indoor and bar seating, take your pick. Nice bit of parking for you and 20 or 30 of your best friends, and when the parking lot gets too full from your car club’s long procession of custom rides, well there’s plenty of street parking down the road woot!

Eh, stopped here once. Nothing too great. The price is not right for the quality. Lots of cops dine here all the time if you mind the stares downs then I don’t suggest it. The place just wasn’t too inviting. Didn’t make me want more. Bummer.
