Best Mexican I have found in the area. Great happy hour with good drinks, enchiladas were fantastic, my wife’s shrimp fajita was great, good salsa and chips too. Family oriented great service we will be back

Horribly sick after being served undercooked chicken in an overpriced(and very mediocre) fajita salad last night. Our waitress was very friendly and apologetic when I brought the issue to her attention and was quite possibly the only positive part of the night. The quality is honestly better at Rosa’s and you’ll spend about half as much.

Great Mexican food in Keller! The food was outstanding, and I recommend ordering a cup of queso. We were asked if we would like a bowl of queso, and when it came out it could serve a party of eight! The signature mango margarita was a tad on the sweet side, and the margarita with sangria swirl was perfect! The large straws were a nice touch. We ordered shrimp and brisket tacos, and were pleasantly surprised by how good and fresh the food and tortillas tasted. Overall great experience, and we will definitely be returning! The bar is very cozy, and would be a great stop for happy hour or lunch with friends.

This should be 2 stars but I’m giving them 3 because everything is made fresh daily which is awesome Pros Great food. Nothing spectacular but decent. Salsa is really good, fresh Cons Staff! They are awful! Every time I go in its like where are they? And the ones you can see ignore you, are on their phones. I had one staff member tell me she wasn’t staff, was in her phone then suddenly she was working. This will break a place. When you call they are nice, when you arrive your lucky ru get your food. Inside is really nice and perfect for place to get together during the day. Big windows nice and bright but not annoying. Hope this helps

The food was awesome and out server was great !!! Came at an odd time(2:30 on a Tuesday) and the food and drinks were great !! I gave it a 3 star because right at the very end when I took the last tortilla for my fajitas a long hair was at he very bottom of the tortilla holder. Very disappointing seeing as the service and food was excellent. I know accidents happen so I will definitely be returning but it was just upsetting.

Read the reviews, don’t have a clue what all the hype is about. This place is ok, but definitely not a favorite«go to» for mexican cuisine. Here is my experience and it is solely based on the food. Atmosphere a bit loud, but acceptable given the layout. It’s fun, upbeat, bustling and full of energy. It’s clean, and our server was attentive and food arrived quickly and hot. Food — I had to try the Mango Moy but sadly passed up once I learned it was a frozen drink and no option for on the rocks. If I make it back by here again, I’ll suck it up and give it try. Not big on frozen drinks. Chips and dip, eh, did not do much for me. Hubby said the chips were greasy, but they were not. They did have an rather odd taste. The trio of dips, the red was good, but then again another odd taste going on there. I ended up going back to one of the hotter green salsa that was pretty good. Fresh made corn tortillas had an odd flavor. My use of the word in odd in describing the food — a flavor that was somewhat a bit off putting, but could not put my finger on it. Was not so bad that I could not eat, I just kept thinking, «What is that??» I ordered the taco dinner(found in the burrito section of the menu), the taco’s were good, but not the best. I ordered two beef and a chicken. Both were good, One thing to note, the taco shells are somewhat hard and crispy. Don’t get me wrong, crispy is good! It was the hardness of the shell that was a little surprising. I usually like a lighter crispy shell. Beans were ok. Hubby ordered enchiladas, two beef one chicken. Again, nothing to get excited about. Atmosphere 3 ½ stars Service 4 stars Food 3 stars

We love this place! I ordered a to-go taco salad and they had it all ready in 5 min like they said… And it was packaged so fun! Like a little basket — a handle made out of foil so it all stayed together and neat. So smart!

Mixed Drinks with a little booze and lots of ice expensive. Would give a 5 star if not for that. Food is very good, but a reasonably made drink at a better price would be great. Go here to unwind with very good chips and salsa, so a nice drink would be icing on the cake. Better selection of draft would get a 5 star also.

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant that tops all others in the Metroplex… I work for a Major Airline, and have told everyone that I come in contact with about this hidden GEM… I hope to sample every great dish from their menu in time… This is the type of business that one would recommend others to come too. Such a great atmosphere… Way to go Maria Cuca’s:FYI… try the Tacos De Mexico with the Skinny Margarita, oh so mouth watering good and delicious.

First time here, saw a post on my neighborhood FB page. People were asking about good mexican food. This place is great! We were greater warmly by 3 ladies and our server gave us our drinks, chips, salsa and warm corn tortillas with butter. We had street tacos, brisket tacos, bean nachos and a chimichanga. All had great flavor and presentation. Service was excellent and very attentive. Will be back more to try on the menu.

Great margaritas for happy hour. The food is good not great. I’ve had the street taco plate and the cheese enchilada plate, both were good. The star of the show are the three different salsas, they are excellent. Service is very good and from the crowds, they must be doing something right. The place gets pretty loud but I’m not looking for an intimate setting when I’m slurping down a margarita and munching on chips and salsa.

So good!!! I haven’t found a great mexican place in the area but this it it. No wait for a Friday night at 8 although the restaurant was full. Juan our server was awesome… quick and made recommends when I asked. I had Carne Asada with 3 shrimp on top! The tortillas, quac, queso, and house rocks were awesome. It’s rare to find a $ 5.99 marg that isn’t made with sweet and sour mix but this was great(had 2). Will be back!

I thought I’d already written a review for Maria Cuca’s, since this was my fourth visit, but shame on me. Let me say, the key here is «fourth visit,» because I don’t typically like Mexican food north of the border, yet Maria Cuca’s is good… I mean, good. Three varieties of salsas with homemade chips, Check! White corn tortillas — not my thing, but others liked them and they came without asking for them, Check! Quick drink service, Check! Willingness to split checks, Check! Suggestions for menu when undecided, Check! This particular visit was a VERY busy Friday night for the restaurant, and our waitress struggled to understand my special request for a salad dressing in which I wanted to dip my tortillas — one served at another restaurant I hoped they’d have. To her credit she had a manager come over to see if she could help(in other words, not too much pride or embarrassment to sacrifice customer service). LOVED that the family next to us said the owner was from his home town so he always wanted to support. I started to order tacos with beef and waitress suggested a more authentic version of tacos. I really wanted a burrito so I asked her opinion and ordered her suggested burrito deluxe. It comes with a side salad, because everything else is inside the meal. Honestly, the salad w ranch dressing was freakin’ awesome — fresh & great flavor and I’d have licked the plate. But the burrito, when it arrived, reminded me of a fish without the head or fins.(Take a breath — I’m talking size.) I had the chili con carne topping and the taste was amazing! No, I didn’t finish it, but I love leftovers.

This is a solid 3.5 Stars! Their homemade corn tortillas are the best thing they’ve got going, but they’re becoming stingy with them… LOL. If you taste one of these bad boys, you’ll understand what all the fuss is about. Yes, they’re THAT good. The service ranks from outstanding to ridiculous. Sometimes we’ve had amazing service and other times, I didn’t want to leave a tip. I don’t know if communication is an issue with one certain server or not, but I will make sure I don’t get her ever again. I’ve had her 2x and both times… well, it was not good. Their chips & salsa are decent, but they also serve a nice roasted serrano(spicy) and a tomatillo salsa. Both are good, but they serve them in these tiny metal ramekins and you cannot fit a chip inside them. Kinda weird. As for the rest of the food, I think it’s pretty much standard Mexican fare. Nothing super-outstanding, but nothing bad, either. It’s just a nice place to get decent Mexican food and if you’re able to avoid one certain server, you will find the all-around experience to be very enjoyable.

This is my favorite restaurant in Keller. This family-owned and operated business serves up fresh corn tortillas, a variety of salsas(I love the roasted serrano!), and fresh Tex-Mex. The fajita nachos are great, and my favorite is Cuca’s Pollo! The skinny margarita(not really skinny, just simple ingredients) is perfect. This spot is crowded for dinner on the weekends, but it’s a great place to sit in the bar and chat with the friendly staff.

What a great Mexican food spot in Keller! This place is the real deal! Homemade CORN tortillas, outstanding margaritas and salsa that is on point! The menu has a little of everything. The chips are amazing as well, and we all know how important good chips at a Mexican food restaurant are! They have a great kids menu and the kids food is made just as well. The roasted stuffed chili is out of this world amazing. No deep frying there. Just fire roasted and stuffed with meat and cheese. The Sopes are really great as well. Just like mamma used to make. The only downside to this spot might be the price. You won’t leave this place for under $ 18 per person, but if you want a great Mexican food spot this side of Fort Worth, come on by! This isn’t Tex-Mex people, this is the real deal.

Loved it! Great Mexican food joint for Keller! We enjoyed the Pollo Parilla, beef chimichanga and some cheese enchiladas. My son did not care for the shrimp tacos. The sopapillas were a win. Margaritas were great too!

Great Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food. I ordered the carne asada plate and that is probably the best thing on the menu. Tender and full of flavor its seasoned well and the sides of beans and rice are great also. The guacamole is a must as its made table side with all fresh ingredients, probably the best I have ever had. This is all you expect from a Texas Mexican restaurant if your in the area this is a great option.

Fantastic dining experience. Now I see why so many 5-star reviews. Our two entrees were delicous. I had the«Spicy Chipolte Enchiladas» — «Shredded chicken topped with our unique and very spicy chipolte sauce.» The word«very» was in bold and italics. Thuy scooped me on the chile relleno, which had an option we had not seen before — grilled. It was a «Fresh grilled poblano pepper filled with cheese and your choice of chicken or beef fajita meet.» Thuy went beef, since I already had chicken. Both dishes were very good. The chipolte sauce was hot, probably very hot to most, but it was barely bumping against«very» for me. Still, it was very good, but I was surprised, and at first put off, by the sweetness. By the end of the first enchilada though, the sweet was not as sweet, as a very comfortable burn set in(perhaps tempered by the sweet). The relleno was also very good. We both really liked the grilled option. I love a good relleno, but avoid it because it’s typically deep fried. I have now found my new favorite relleno! Our server Alfredo was fantastic and knew the menu well. In fact, when he learned how much I enjoyed the chipolte sauce, made a great suggestion — Try a burrito with the chipolte sauce. Alfredo, that I most definitely will do. Maria Cucas’s has a large dining room, as well as a bar and bar seating area, with high tables and several TVs. I can definitely see a return trips here in the future, this time for my own relleno, or a burrito, with chipolte sauce. PS. Were it not for the excellence of our two dishes, a four star rating would have been more appropriate.
