Leg Up Equine provides professional and progressive veterinary and chiropractic care to its patients. Our practice is 100% mobile and services include initial chiropractic evaluation and adjustments as well as wellness and preventative care.

We work with owners, trainers and riders of animals who are experiencing changes in behaviors, lack of flexibility, muscle soreness, pain, lameness, performance problems, or illness that has not been diagnosed or alleviated with traditional diagnostics and medical treatments.

Leg Up Equine was established in 2014 to provide a complete, comprehensive approach to equine wellness care by offering the best of both traditional therapy as well as complimentary medicine.

Meet the Business Owner

Sheena C.

Business Owner

Dr. Sheena Connolly attended Oklahoma State University where she received a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She was then accepted into OSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her D.V.M. After graduating veterinary school, she pursued her interest in equine medicine and surgery by completing a one year internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY. She then spent two years in a mixed animal private practice in North Texas. Dr. Connolly completed the postgraduate Animal Chiropractic program at Parker University in 2013 and is certified in Animal Chiropractic through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA). In 2014 Dr. Connolly created Leg Up Equine to use her training and experience to offer a specialized approach to wellness care to the horses of North Texas.
