Tony’s Kingdom of Comics has a ton of, well, comics. It’s also a bastion for Nerdcore. It’s very crowded, though, and can be difficult to find things. And oddly, I’ve felt slightly insulted every time I’ve tried to talk with the guy behind the counter. I assume it’s Tony, but it could be who he hired. There’s been a younger kid there a few times, and he was always real attentive, but I’ve never really felt like I was welcome as a customer. I guess maybe it’s just that whole«Comic Book Guy» thing, but I’ve had better and more friendly service at other locations. I guess I just prefer that. I’ve bought a number of books here, though, and always at the right price. Their collectibles are really pretty cool and would make good gifts, and they have a number of trades sitting there, with plenty of imports. They’ll also get you a box in the back if you order more than 5 subscriptions to comics, but if you don’t get five, I guess you just have to show up every week and pick them up.

Absolutely awesome place! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many figurines and collectibles in one place before. Which makes me I wish I had tons of money to spend here. They always have my comics I’m looking for now that Borders is gone. The staff is awesome, too! Very friendly. :)

So many great figures and plenty more! Play role playing games even get ice cream! Great selection of graphic novels and new comics. The collectibles really make the store. Especially the life size Spider-Man crawling on the ceiling!

Since my boyfriend hacked my account to do a review of this place, I thought I might as well add my two cents. Tony’s is the ultimate nerd hideout. No matter what you’re nerding for – be it GI Joe, X-Men, Star Wars, Simpsons, or Little Lou Lou– You’ll find something that interests you. Even if you aren’t a giant dork and just kinda like movies and television, you’ll still find something that interests you. And if you have a kid, they’ll love you if you bring them here and let them blow $ 5 on the super cheap comic books in the cardboard boxes. Your dorky 40 year old boyfriend will also love you if you give him $ 5 to spend!
