History

Established in 2011.

Clean Energy Comfort, Inc. (CEC) was formed in 2011. CEC was born when Chris Romine (President) joined forces with Gayle Tunnell (Vice President), and Patrick Ledbetter (Sales), who formerly were part owners of Kentec Heating which had locations in Woodburn, OR and Bend, OR. Kentec dissolved their partnership in 2010, as a result of a diminished new construction market, and CEC was formed to provide heating & air conditioning systems and service to existing homeowners, with a focus on superior customer service. We have since built an awesome team, with team members who are buying in to providing the best customer experience possible. The amount of pride that each of our members take in their craft is what is driving our business to maintain customer confidence, and keep them coming back.

Business Owner

I began working the heating & air conditioning trade as a senior at Gresham High School. I worked at a small shop after school each day, building ductwork, and loading vans for the next day. Once I graduated, I became an installer, working mostly on new construction houses. I bounced around to a couple of different companies, trying to learn different aspects of the trade. I performed different types of installation, ranging from replacing existing heating systems, to working on big commercial buildings. I eventually worked my way into a foreman position, where I was overseeing install crews, and performing quality control. From there, I started doing in home sales, where I began to focus on high efficiency heating & cooling products, as well as air filtration. After being in sales for 5 years, I was presented with the idea of starting Clean Energy Comfort, Inc. along with a couple of long time friends. We created the company in 2011, and have been steadily growing since then.
