A great local yarn store. They have a good selection of cotton, acrylic, wool and baby yarns and patterns. The lighting is good and its easy to tell the true color of the yarns. There is a sufficient amount of crochet hooks, needles, buttons and various accessories to suit your needs. There may be to some people a rather small inventory but this is a small store in a small town. You must keep in mind that you are not going to a New York City or Boston yarn store. This is Keene which has a population of 25,000 at best. People come here from the surrounding small towns to support this lady and her very friendly dog Buddy who happily greets all patrons.

I give the shop a 5 because it is certainly as good as it gets in Keene and it really is a very nice shop. They have moved since the previous review. No longer on the second floor but in a prime location in the heart of Keene. Very convenient if you are going around the shopping areas downtown. I stopped by the shop with my two grandkids in tow – not the best way to go shopping for yarn. The shop owner couldn’t have been kinder in helping me find a particular yarn to finish a project plus figuring out yarn and supplies for a hat that I wanted to make for my granddaughter. I even added needles that I didn’t really need because they had a set of the wooden shorts that I like for this type of project. I was able to start the project that afternoon. I didn’t get a chance to spend a lot of time looking around but the shop does look well-stocked and well worth a stop if you are passing through Keene. Locals I’m sure know the place well!

cute little store. as far as i can tell, it’s the only one in the area so if you live in keene you might not have a choice either way. i stopped in here after a marathon drive from toronto. i was looking for a few things– addi turbos, a specific back issue of interweave, and some non-wool lace weight yarn for the swallowtail shawl. they had a pretty small selection of needles and only had one of the many sizes i was looking for. they were decently priced though. very small magazine section. the yarns are on the lower end of the spectrum, with a lot of acrylics and basic wools from larger brands. not much local. they did have a good selection of pretty sock yarns but that’s not really my thing. my one big gripe was that it was very very dark, which is strange for a shop on the second floor. i’m not sure if it’s always like that but it’s impossibly hard to judge color when there are no lights on in the store i picked up some very nice yarn and we kept on driving. i don’t think i’d go out of my way to shop here but the people were all very nice and helpful. and i did end up finding some of what i was looking for which is always good.
