The fries, chicken and rice are great but they tend to put alot more fries then chicken. The ribs aren’t that bad but can be better. Overall this isn’t the worst BBQ in jersey.

Not the worst bbq’d chicken but not the best. As other mentioned this place is a little hole in the wall serving traditional portuguese dishes and your quick and easy bbq’d chicken and ribs combos. I think the chicken is great but the rice and fries and ribs are mediocre at most. I would suggest ordering a whole chicken for under $ 12 and trying it out yourself. You can feed a family of 4 with that.

This little hole in the wall brazilian style barbeque restaurant has great ribs and chicken meals and stocks Portuguese beer as well. Makes for a great lunch or dinner and in the back are tables for those that prefer them to sitting at the bar. Parking is available on the street.

I lived in Kearny NJ for 18 months and this place was right across the street from me. The constant smell of fresh rotisserie chicken was one of the delights of the day. To call this place a «restaurant» is kind of misleading. it is basically a take-out place for Portuguese style chicken and ribs but it is damn good. The chicken and ribs are what they are known for. They both come with a nice spice rub that bring out the flavor of the chicken and ribs. Their takeout orders are HUGE and come with rice, French fries(Which are really good by the way) pickled vegetables and really good Portuguese bread which is chewy. You literally can get a whole chicken cut up or chicken and ribs which is a whole chicken and a whole rack of ribs for around 15 bucks. It is worth it They do offer other things like steak and shrimp but they just aren’t as good as the chicken and ribs. In fact the steak portion I got once was really small. The meat is cooked over a rotisserie that turns once a minute. It looks like a really large SHOWTIME rotisserie BBQ that you see in infomercials except it is iron. its cool to watch The service is ok but they don’t speak English and you do have a little bit of a wait. This place is awesome! Stick with the chicken and ribs, bring an interpreter and you will love it(LOL)
