A great place to get a good meal and drink. Manny the owner and Vanessa the bartender are great. They even have different specials running just ask. 2 big flat screen tvs, pool tables, and a jukebox that has almost any song you want to hear. Anytime I am though the area this is my hangout.

This is every bit of a dive bar, and I love it. It has not been gentrified, hipsterfied, or other wise tampered with. It is gritty, natural and lovable as an ugly dog. The service is good, and the staff is friendly. They have Bush in a can for $ 2, and an $ 8 pepper steak w/beens and rice that’ll peel your wig back, try some of the house made hot sauce. For those of you that like it both hot and creamy, this is one of the few establishments to offer jalapeño poppers this side of the Mississippi. This place is crusty, past its prime, and likely not long for this world, so try it while it’s here. The 18 wheeler is right off the 1&9 on the Kearny side of the bridge. Perfect spot to hit coming in or out of the city. Pull into the dirt lot and picture it for what it was, when this old dog had its day. I can see the lot packed with curvaceous big rigs, their chrome boasting bright enough to rival the sun, bikers and lizards busily peddling their wares, and of course, the token hopped up el’ camino, with its owner and his best friend pounding some tall-boys while sitting on the tail gate, readying themselves for the girls inside. The 18 wheeler is not just some tired old dinosaur, it’s a piece of Americana, and a fleeting memory of a time that was.
