The food is great! The owner is so nice and is very helpful. Portions are large. Love to eat there or take home!

I’ve tried many Caribbean eateries in the area and Thee Trini Hut is the best by far, I like the variety of foods on the menu and their doubles is really good.

Some of the best Caribbean food I have had in the Houston area. Roti and Doubles are good as well. Their menu varies between weekdays and weekends so be sure and ask what they have special that day. Really good buss up shut and dhal skins.

My coworkers & I have been here twice for lunch. The curry is amazing & made fresh daily. I’ve had the bone in chicken curry & goat curry. Both were delicious!

I had doubles with everything, aloo pie with channa and chicken buss up shut to go. I am very happy and will definitely be returning. At first I thought it was the wrong place cause its a bar but I absolutely love the setting and can’t wait to go back for some pholourie.

I ordered some roti skins and buss up shot because I was having some friends over to experience some authentic Trini style food! I was very disappointed. I should’ve known better when I walked in there and they didn’t seem to care :(no greet no smile nothing. I’m never going back and I’ll never recommend anyone there! The buss up shot was like dumpling with brown spots all over :(I wasted almost fifty bucks, never again!

After wasting 50 minutes to drive here, this homesick Trini gives this place an «F» for epic fail. Doubles were tasteless and aloo pie sucked. Banana solo rocked! Go to Asha’s in Baytown instead.

This food sucks. Is another restaurant down the street called island spice market their food is 100% better. It’s on w little York. They even speak and smile when you come in and they have a better variety to choose from. These people here are very rude. Typical trini restaurant

Upon entering this establishment, I was conceded we were in the wrong place as it looked like a bar or dance club. However, we saw the Trinidad flags and knew we had found the right spot. Both of us were a little apprehensive until the food came of course… If I could describe the food in a single word, I would simply say… WOW!!! I had a shrimp roti and my girlfriend has a chicken roti with a Red Stripe beer and we were both blown away at the taste and quality you get for the price at this place. Well done Thee Trini Hut! So if you’re looking for that Trinidad food with a serious Indian influence, this place is it!!!

If you are flying through West Houston and need a bite, this is as good as it gets close to the airport! I have been taking instrument training at KIWS for a month and a half and this is the best local food i have found. Try the curried shrimp.

The food here is amazing. I had the shrimp curry, and ordered a double. The service isn’t that great, but the food is definitely worth going for!

May 3rd «The Coys» will be performing at this venue. It’s all-Amercian rock and roll in a Trini atmosphere. A bit ecclectic, but it should be fun. Come on out and see our Trini Hut debut and witness one of our first gigs with this blend of two popular Northwest bands… The Bottom Line and DNA. Hope to see you there !!

If you’re looking for friendly service from a Caribbean establishment, you’re barking up the wrong tree. It’s unfortunate, but that’s the truth. I’ve had takeout from them and I wouldn’t say the service was rude or anything and the food is fantastic so it’s all good for me. The first time I went here my mom needed some dhal puri(roti to Trinis) for a party and she was able to order it from them and pick it up later. She said it was pretty good(being from NY, I’m sure she didn’t expect to find good dhal puri in TX). Later on I got some from myself and she’s right. Their dhal puri is excellent. As is their aloo pie, which is stuffed with spiced potatoes and chick peas. So yummy. If I had known it was so good here, I would’ve gotten more than one. Their paratha roti(buss up shot) tasted good but was too broken up, but it’s a Trini establishment so it’s forgivable. They don’t make roti like Guyanese people and I knew that ahead of time. Until there’s a Guyanese restaurant in Houston, I’m willing to settle.

I ate here for the first time today and I wish this place wasn’t all the way out in Katy! I have a veggie Roti(not sure what it was called on the menu… but, no meat) and it was so good! They spiced that thing right! I also love how they wrapped the roti securely in paper so that I could hold it and eat it properly. Trinidadian-owned and Trinis cooking in the kitchen. What more could you ask for? Love this place!
