I’ve been coming here for years whenever their location was off i10. I love their new location because it is right next to my house. The food is great and very cheap. I’m always craving their breakfast tacos. The staff is nice and attentive. I love the salsa they provide. All in all its cheap, yummy, convenient, and friendly.

Little wait on the food but overall the food was delicious, and nice staff. Just a wait but worth it!

The place is definitely a little janky, but also they do have some authenticity. My cousin really enjoyed the Chihuahua cheese in the queso. However there wasn’t much communication or checking on us after our order was placed, and the queso came out at the same time as our food, after waiting about 25 minutes. Oh, it helps to mention we were the first of about 5 tables there. Simple things like that shouldn’t take so long, and if they do, they better be delicious. The food was good, but not enough to bring me back again.

One of the few things this place has going for them is that they are open late. I had the 5 taquitos, plate in which my meat was over cooked and kind or dry. A friend had the menudo and said it was like it was tomato sauce.

Order on the phone some tortas & gorditas, and the guy was pleasantly nice. Ask if I wanted everything on it, and be ready in 10 min! Arrived & the food smells so good! Asked if I wanted salsa and napkins, very nice!

Came in here with my Wife to have a late bite. I had heard through a friend that Taqueria Arandas was an OK joint(My Parents also happen to have a business relationship with them, but I never thought much of the restaurant). So I decided to take my friends advice and in the hopes that it would be like a Mexican restaurant back in my home town of LA I proceeded into Taqueria Arandas. I was pleasantly surprised… the food was actually REALLYGOOD. Fresh ingredients, tasty chips n’ salsa, good salsa con queso and damn good lengua(Beef Tongue). The place itself is a little run down, but it’s authentic and the way almost every Mexican joint is in and around LA. It’s not for everyone and can be hard to overlook if you’re not used to it, but my Wife & I come from a region where this is common place and expected. We know it won’t be very nice, but that’s not why you come here, you come for the food. I dig this place and recommend it to anyone looking for a late night Mexican food fix.

I’m beginning to lose faith is Unilocalers in the Houston area if you rated this place lower than a 4 Star! So far, I’ve encountered some interesting food considered Mexican here in Houston. Alot of the places have mixed latin food menus. And they call themselves Mexican food, Salvadorean food, Colombian, etc. But I’m used to restaurants serving specialty foods in Los Angeles. Real Mexican, real Salvadorean, etc. This place is REAL delicious, fresh, delicious, tasty, not bland unsalted over priced– pardon the expression white-washed food. The chips and salsa, where FANTASTIC! I mean home made salsa perfectly fresh and delicious and spicy! And the burritos huge and filled with fresh veggies and avocado. Yum! And of course the meat and beans super tasty I thought I was gonna eat a whole«California» burrtito! Ha! No way! Too big! All in all a delicious tasty meal, a fair price and really really polite and friendly staff! Of course the joint is a little old looking but I don’t judge a restaurant by its looks. My favorite places are holes in the wall.

Years ago I used to eat at the one off Gessner. Nooo comparison. This place was vile! Meat tasted old/turning. Stale chips, watered down salsa. Ugh, one time was one time too many.

I’m extremely disappointed with how the level of service and quality of food have changed over the last few years. I use to be a loyal customer, until last Thursday. I was in shock and couldn’t believe it. First, it took 20 mins to get chips and salsa. I ordered the torta with beef fajita. The meat was completely different and tasted old and was just plain HORRIBLE tasting. I COULDN’T even eat it. Not to mention there was gnats/fruit flies ALL over, flying all around our food constantly. I mean I seen and swatted over 10+ of them. After that, I had it and we got the check paid and got out immediately. Stopped and got taco cabana on the way home instead. I COULDN’T believe what I had witnessed. They won’t see me for a LOOOONG time.

I love T.A., I’ve been going for years.(The original off Gessner). It’s just not the same. I wish I could put my finger on it. It’s still my favorite taqueria to go to… but what can I say…

Dont try to go on a Sunday, Manager and staff are running like chickens without heads when the place is not even completely full. I tried to call an order in and manager told me that he wasn’t taking any calls until place wasn’t to «busy». Needless to say i walk across the street and enjoy my delicious lunch at Tacos La Bala… Will never go back to Arandas, I was a client for the past 5 years.

It’s 12:18 am. They’re open. Their food and facility are way better than I remember. Got cheese enchiladas, wife got nschos. But rocked. Their salsa rocked. Their green salsa was good too, really hot. Definitely will come back.

I really enjoy this place. More authentic than apt of places here in Katy. It’s been here a long time and seems to keep growing. Being a native Mexican, here in Katy, this is as close Im going to be getting to the real deal. And I like the people.

I really like this place, as evidenced by my check-ins. It’s real food, authentically Mexican. Good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And, of course, late night. Margaritas are good.

I’m shocked by all of these negative reviews, this is a GREAT Taqueria Arandas! The chips are crispy, the salsas are flavorful, and the staff is friendly. They have AWESOME prices on breakfast specials, especially weekdays. The food is not tex-mex, but rather authentic Mexican. I’ve never tasted anything there I didn’t like. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican, this is your spot!

They get my order wrong every single time I order to go. They even get it wrong when I order from INSIDE the restaurant. The food is never ready for pick up no matter how long it takes me to get there. I swear they wait to make it once you’ve arrived, and always seem confused about it. Eating there is ok, service is good, but the quality of meat has declined. I’ve been eating at Arandas for over 10 years & it seems now that that there is more fat in the taco than meat. Breakfast is your best bet. It’s yummy and super affordable.

All I can say is WTF? Paid 12 for this Shrimp Camarones and cheap shrimp is literally thrown into a pool of this questionable tomato sauce with no vegetables. Yuck. Ordered THREE Caldo de Pollos and they all were LUKEWARMATBEST when I came home to eat them. I want my hard earned money back. Damn.

I have been to Taquerias Arandas a couple of times now. The first time we dined in. The chips and salsa were just average as well as the beans and the rice. I also had a few of the beef fajita tacos, meh. The ice tea was fresh brewed and very good. On Monday and Tuesday they have $ 1 tacos. So thought I would give them a second chance and picked up a few different tacos to go. I had the beef fajita tacos, El pastor and shredded chicken. The beef fajita and El pastor were ok, but nothing great. I didn’t care for the shredded chicken at all. The food should probably be rated at 2 stars, but the employees are friendly, the restaurant was very clean and everything is super cheap, So 3 stars it is.
