Stephanie’s Dance Studio One was established in 1983 in Oklahoma with Stephanie Thomas as the principle instructor and 2 assistant teachers. The studio offered technique classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, Pointe, gymnastics and vocal performance.

Established in Katy in 1995, Stephanie’s DSO has trained many outstanding dancers. To date, 9 students have won college scholarships for dance. Additionally our company dancers perform at area events, charity shows and other local venues.

Having danced since the age of 4, Mrs. Stephanie grew up with a strong foundation in ballet, tap and jazz. As a teen she was the technique demonstrator for the advanced classes at Beaux Arts School of Dance for two years. She studied ballet under Joe Rowen at Oklahoma City University and Leon Danelian in Colorado. She studied jazz and tap under Rhonda Miller at Oklahoma City University and in Los Angeles, California. She was a performing member of the Western Oklahoma Ballet Theatre for 4 years. The Ballet Company was given a state grant and joined the Southwest Regional Ballet Festival. Each year Mrs. Stephanie performed in The Nutcracker and other ballets such as Coppelia.

In 1983 Mrs. Stephanie established Stephanie’s Dance Studio One in Oklahoma as the principle instructor along with 2 assistant teachers. The studio offered technique classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, Pointe, gymnastics and vocal performance. DSO was established in Katy in 1995.
