Definitely love Ritter’s! Went 6⁄7. I bought a peanut butter mountain, a turtle Sunday, a scoop of dreamsicle, and a classic scoop of vanilla.(I was with people so it isn’t as excessive as you may think.) I tried a bit of all of it and it was great! The custard all has great creamy consistency and the sundaes were very good. My only complaint is that my scoop sizes weren’t the same. The dreamsicle had more than the vanilla. Other than that, it was amazing!

Got the strawberry glacier which is a super thick strawberry milkshake. Loved every bite of it but be sure to eat slowly or you’ll dribble it all over yourself. I can see why this place gets so popular and I do hope to come back again.

Perfect place to stop by on a hot day. It has a drive through and walk up window. There are some tables and benches to sit at, but you might want to check and see if they are clean before sitting down. I enjoyed my strawberry short cake a lot. Their ice cream is very smooth.

This is the only place I know that has marshmallow pieces! No I don’t want marshmallow fluff, that doesn’t do anything for me. I can’t even see it when the custard is vanilla(Connie’s Custard.) I love Ritter’s! I get the large vanilla custard with Heath and Marshmallow pieces. I like the texture and that the marshmallows don’t get hard. They always get my order correct and fast! They always have a ton of customers and a line when I am there. Bringing all of my out of town friends and family here!

My friend and I stopped by this place after the Astros and Mariners baseball game to try something new. The staff was very nice, they answered all of our questions and provided great recommendations. I ended having the Tin Roof w/Heath and it was amazing! I’m actually for NW Florida and I will we had something like this there. Thanks for the great experience!

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago and I thought it was amazing — I got a chocolate glacier and I thought it was much better than Regular ice cream. I had cookie dough in it which I thought made it a little too rich. Will definitely be back. I went through the drive through line and had a white young male as our server and he was extremely obnoxious and rude, which disappointed my boyfriend and I. We wanted to tell him to lose the attitude.

My first time here and I have to say, I have no idea what a frozen custard was until now. Basically it’s an ice cream with more milk, making it smoother and creamier taste and texture. It’s not bad. In fact it’s pretty darn tasty for someone with a sweet tooth. Prices is reasonable, drive though is a plus, service is okay, location is a bit of a drive. Another neat thing about this place is they have outdoor seating, which on a nice sunny afternoon makes for a nice place to be. So in conclusion, diffidently something to add in my bookmark for desserts.

Most people have their go to ice cream/custard places, and this location has to be the tops in the Katy/Cypress area for atmosphere, taste, service and its’ almost magical allure. Everyday new flavours are made, but they have staples always available like chocolate and vanilla and sugar free. We follow them on Facebook to get their daily made flavours versus making the effort to drive by to see their sign, which always seems to be ill-timed with advertisements right when we want to see the flavours of the day. Mostly they have pretty conservative flavours or none that seem worth the drive. But I’d say about once a month something comes along that we can’t refuse, like Mexican chocolate. But the custard is excellent since it’s more rich and smooth than ice cream, so you can’t go wrong with a simple chocolate with cookie dough. But their atmosphere has an aura about it that is extremely inviting, particularly on a warm evening after sunset. Those lights, striped umbrellas, almost a carnival like environment when the crowds get going. People sit around the porch tables while customers stand around waiting and long lines of cars snake their way around the building, so pick your poison, because when it’s busy, you may wait 45 minutes, but very worth it! Workers are always bright and friendly, too! My advice, park, get out and order, it’s much faster and more fun!

Wow. What can I say. We make a drive to get here and we are never disappointed. It is the creamiest around and they always have a few feature favors. Whether your looking for a great Turtle Sunday, a single scoop or a special kid’s Sunday you can’t go wrong here. Try it once and you will be hooked also.

They have the best frozen custards in this area. The custard was very creamy. The portion size is large, so you definitely get your money’s worth at this place. There is ample parking and outdoor seating.

The girlfriend and I decided to satisfy our late-night sweet tooth. The Mud Sundae was really good– especially for a chocolate fanatic in me. However, the New Peppermint Sundae was a disappointment. The ice cream was good, but the peppermint candy was a total overkill. The candies were large, tough to work through, and were over abundant. The establishment itself was nice and the service was friendly.

I don’t know which I love more, the custard or the memories of this place. This place is an absolute staple in Katy. Everything is good. Seriously, everything. Even the no sugar added vanilla! Whenever they close for the winter, all of Katy feels the pain Keep rockin, Ritter’s.

Summary– Must have hit them on an off night. Custard– 1.5 Stars Good flavor, just too warm and started melting immediately all over the place. Made it hard to tell if it was even good. Atmosphere– 3 Stars Cute place except for the super ghetto broken supermarket toys with partially exposed extension cords laying around. Service– 4 Stars Fast and friendly.

Satisfied my taste for a frozen treat but just barely. There’s a posted sign that says there may be a mistake with your order because of the level of business. Seems they should staff accordingly if they know the traffic will cause the staff to make mistakes. I ordered a pint of strawberry and got a pint of vanilla, however, there were only about 8 people in line at 3 different windows. Plus, there were only 4 flavors posted. I can’t imagine that the inventory all looks similar enough to confuse strawberry with any other available option. Anyway, the best ice cream is at Hank’s on Main… it’s a long drive from where I live but there are more flavor options and my order will be correct, even with only 2 people working.

Monday evening visit. I’ve heard good things about this place and decided to give it a try since it was on the way home. The place… Tree shaded outdoor eating patio. It’s nice and well maintained. However, I’m a big girl and found the seating to be uncomfortable. No indoor seating available. The food… Custard/Ice cream stand offering Hot Dog/Chips/Drink combos. Large selection of sundaes, floats, cones, etc… Service…well-manner teenagers that seemed to work well together. There was a line that moved fast but was disorderly. You place your order and then stand off to the side while you wait for it. Of course this caused a little bit of confusion as people crowded up near the window. We ordered combos and ice cream selections. We got called up to the window to pick up each piece of the order as it came ready; 3 trips. Overall, it was a nice experience and we’ll be back.

We stopped by on the way back from dinner at nearby Koby. The place was BUSY. Tables with umbrellas in the front. I had a big dinner, so decided to get a NSA frozen custard. Still tasted great and was lighter on the calories. I have also tried a butterscotch sundae. Really good. Definitely going back for more.

This place was delicious. I am a hard person to please with custard since I was spoiled with Jarlings Custard Cup in Champaign, IL. But, this place was really great. The server could have been a bit more enthusiastic to answer my questions about the frozen treats. I like all the little tables to sit at so this place would be great on decent days when it’s not too warm but hot enough that you want custard! There are always vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavors and you can add or mix in toppings. But, it seems like they have rotating flavors as well. Enjoy!

We made a quick stop here on our way to Houston from Austin. We had the strawberry custard and the Caramell snicker swirl glacier with Butterfinger. They were both incredibly delicious. Would definitely recommend this place.

Very disappointed at this place. I live less than 8min away and by the time I came home everything was melted and really watery. I ordered the chili cheese hot dog(3⁄5) very small for more than $ 3 it’s not worth it, banana split(4⁄5) and brownie sundae(1⁄5). The brownie sundae at connies frozen custard is definitely better. The brownie here tastes like the ones you buy at the grocery store and was just thrown in the sundae. Taste so gross and cheap. The one at connies actually taste like its baked and is hot and gooey. I spent $ 15 here and I felt like it was a total waste of money and time. VERY upset. Everything cost too much for the amount you get

Great frozen custard! I ordered the vanilla with oreos since cookies n cream is my favorite flavor. The custard was very creamy and not so much icy like regular ice cream. There are several options to customize the frozen custard to your liking. The portion size is large, so you definitely get your money’s worth at this place. There is ample parking and outdoor seating. I can’t think of a better way to enjoy the day with your loved ones than eating frozen custard at Ritter’s.
