I usually will go out of my way to get gas at Kroger because it’s usually the cheapest, HOWEVER, this weekend, I was fooled. I was off Westgreen, which is a few blocks from this Kroger gas station. I saw that the Valero and Race Track had Unleaded for around $ 2.03. I just KNEW I would beat that price at Kroger down the street. Jokes on me – the gas was actually a dime more without the card. With the card I paid $ 2.09. A nickle more a gallon, so I didn’t leave and go down the street again – it was not on my way to my next destination. However, I am a little more cautious to not trust Kroger(at least this one) for having the lowest prices. Buyer Beware.

I never thought I’d have to write a review for Kroger, but this one is so bad that I just don’t think I can help it. I’ve been shopping at the Kroger in Missouri City for ages and it’s been awesome. Then I moved to Katy and found out that not all Krogers were created equal. This is terrible for a ton of different reasons 1) BIGGESTREASON — the Layout is just awful. You would think just copying all the other grocery stores basic philosophy wouldn’t be rocket science — but you walk in to the baked section, have to go through that to get to the veggies in the back right hand side of the store. ONTOPOFTHAT — the Seafood and the deli section are on opposite sides of the store(WTF?!) I had no idea what was going on and I would have to walk all around the store just to see if they had the product I needed. Ridiculous. 2) they have really limited item selection, and a ton of mislabeled product. Also, it seems they don’t even water their veggies as they do not look remotely fresh. It was so bad, I literally returned the beer and wine I had in my cart to their right ful places, put the cart in the front of the store, and left to the HEB… wow.

Gets an extra star because of lower gas price with Kroger card. Normally the lowest gas prices in Katy right off I-10. Also has diesel and E 85 fuel.
