We specialize in domestic and foreign transmission and drive line repair exclusively. Fixing YOUR transmission problem is our specialty and our priority. Gary’s systematically evaluates, services, diagnoses, repairs and rebuilds transmissions on a daily basis.

Today’s automatic transmissions are completely computer controlled and more complicated than ever. They contain many electronic, hydraulic and mechanical components. We have the experience, technical expertise and equipment to service, diagnose, repair and rebuild your transmission. Gary’s Transmission Service Inc. is dedicated to helping you.

Our shop is up to date with a large reference database including software from Ratio Tec, Mitchell 2/​Shop Key, All Data, ATSG, ATRA, TRNI, Identifix & Motor.

We use the latest diagnostic equipment comprised of Snap-​On Solus Ultra, Solus Pro, Vantage Pro and Autel Maxidas scan tools. This compilation of software and equipment is essential for diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding today’s computer controlled transmissions.

Needed U joints replaced on my 2000 4Runner. Started the job myself and after getting the drive shaft off the vehicle and removing the first joint I decided, this would be much easier for a trans shop to do with the right tools. Called up Gary’s and low and behold Gary picks up the phone. Quickly explained the situation and what needed to be done. Gary fit me in that day and got the work done quickly. Brought in the parts and Gary pressed out the last blown U joint and pressed in the two new parts. Great price, great work, great experience. My 4Runner has 171k on the clock and as a DIY kind of guy I really appreciate finding a shop that can lend a helping hand when I’m short on time, tools, or just plain in over my head. Gary just became my go to transmission shop!

I didn’t know what was wrong with my car. I just knew there was an issue with the transmission. I found Gary’s Transmission on Google Maps. It was close to home and had only 5 star reviews so I decided to give it a try. I spoke to Gary on the phone. He explained there would be a $ 65 evaluation fee and no work would be done until he spoke to me first. The good news came when Gary told me my transmission was working perfectly and the the issue was something else. He even referred me to a local shop to do the repairs. Any other shop would have tried to rip me off but Gary didn’t. It’s hard to find people you can trust these days. I will definitely refer anyone to Gary’s Transmission.

Gary’s shop was recommended to me by a friend who’s big into the offroad 4×4 scene. You figure if a shop can make tough transmission for those rigs, they can make a lightly modified one for a street car, and you’d be right!
Gary is a pleasant, well spoken guy that’s enjoyable to talk to. His shop is pretty clean considering the mess that comes with working on a gearbox. I was pleasantly surprised to get my transmission wrapped up in a thick plastic bag so it won’t have a chance of messing up my cargo area. And the end result is that I got a transmission that shifts better than what the factory gave me!
The price was spot on, probably very similar to the major chain stores. But what really matters is that Gary’s shop didn’t treat me like a piñata, they told me what it would cost, made a great transmission, added a part that I wanted later on (a different pan) and the price didn’t change. There were no surprises!

Gary and his guys know their stuff. I took in my truck, and it turns out it just needed to be topped off with fluid! He wouldn’t even charge me for the fluid he put in! They are honest and friendly.

Gary’s transmission was thorough and helpful in the assessment of what was wrong with my vehicle. They didn’t work on it until I knew exactly what was wrong, how much it would cost and how long it would take. Gary was also helpful in his advice moving forward and never tried to «hard-​sell» me. I would recommend Gary’s to anyone who appreciates honest, informed work.

It is always nice to speak with the owner of a repair shop.
Gary and his team performed a transmission refab for our Jeep that was reasonable. The service was great. When we had a follow up issue, they were able to repair it at no charge and very quickly. We will go back if we need too.
