Baker St. Pub & Grill

One of the better bars in the area. During the day it’s pretty family friendly. but at night it turns into more of a going out spot. There’s live music on Fridays and happy hour until 9.

Stopped here for lunch on a couple of occasions. I was able to walk right in and be served promptly. My waitress today was very polite, the whole experience here is easy going and not crowded both times I’ve been here for lunch. The turkey avocado sandwich hits the spot. Great atmosphere with a ton of British-​themed décor items.

Always packed and busy. I like that they have free pool and live music on the weekend.

We decided to go eat here on a Wednesday night around nine thirty, as we usually go to the sugar land location. The place wasn’t busy at all, a few random tables of people, several patrons at the bar. We picked out our table and were promptly greeted. Our server was very nice, she quickly took our drink order and appetizer order. Drinks were promptly delivered, appetizer was prompt as well. We ordered two salads (pretty rare for us but they looked good). As we waited for our meal karaōke started … Or rather continued off in a corner. While we waited for our drinks it had been at a volume that was not intrusive, still fun and able to be heard (certainly by the one table of participants sitting right beside the dj’s speakers). Suddenly it seemed, the Dj’s cranked up the volume to painfully loud. We couldn’t even hear each other across the table while near shouting! Once our food arrived, we were already discussing leaving because of the overly loud volume of the music. We stayed though, hoping he would turn it down after several patrons were screaming into the Mic. Digging into my salad, something tasted off. The salad dressing tasted sour and almost tingly in my mouth. I had my dining partner try the dressing. He too noted it tasted very very off. I had already put the cup of dressing on my salad and find it to be inedible. When we informed the waitress she was very polite about it, taking the weird tasting salad away and offering a replacement but my stomach had already begun turning unhappily. My friend finished his salad and we got the check. He went to the restroom before we left and while waiting for him the waitress came back to take the payment with a little bit of an attitude, I don’t know if it is because my salad was bad or she thought we weren’t going to tip her (up until this point, her service had been good and the food wasn’t her fault at all). She seemed a little upset though when I told her we weren’t finished with the bill as my friend was paying the tip. When he came back we tipped her generously, it’s never easy when table send back food even if they’re nice, and left. Can’t say we will be coming back here though. Between the overly loud music in an almost empty bar to the food being okayv or just not tasting right, I think we will be sticking to the Sugar Land location from now on.

Nice casual place for a beer and a burger.
As a Brit, I also really enjoy all the British memorabilia throughout.
I’ve never been in the evening, just late afternoons/​lunches, but have always had a lovely time.
I recommend the Mac & cheese bites as an appetizer or a main for a lunchtime snack.

Came here for an after dinner drink with friends. The place is a great pub. Nice beer selection, full bar, and live music on Fridays and Saturdays. The bar is large enough so that you sit up close by the band, or move to the very back if you don’t like it being loud.
We didn’t try any food, but we order wine, beer and cocktails. Everything we tried was very good. Service was a little slow, but the place was full.
We are looking forward to returning.
FYI — the bathroom is behind the 4^th bookshelf on the left.

Great atmosphere, variety of beers on tap (Alot of craft beers too!), plenty of tvs for sports viewing and great food! I had the hamburger last night which was excellent!

I would use rate this place zero stars if I could. I used to love this place but it has really gone down in every aspect. The bartenders are so rude when I ask for a beverage and make it seem like they just don’t want to do any kind of business. My friends and I just wanted to leave immediately. The manager is so arrogant and thinks everyone has a problem with the staff when really its the other way around. The bathrooms were disgusting and the tables all sticky and not clean at all. I will never return to this establishment even if I was paid too. Do yourself a favor and go to a different bar, don’t waste your precious time here.

This is a good place and has expanded their patio area. However it seems mostly impossible to get service out there. We went on a Friday night and it wasn’t too crowded. Asked two different times about someone coming to take our order and even went inside and asked. Waited 15 minutes before we finally left with no service. Please have more servers outside.

Brilliant choices, authentic British foods with the American yum and a hidden «Sherlock Holmes» bookcase bathroom (worth the boost). Games, music and a full service bar; all the things for a great evening out with friends or family :). Favorites to try; shepherds pie, fish M chips, bangers n mash, and salmon.

Great pub, good food, nice staff. Always enjoy going there, some days there is live music or games. Usually lots of beers on tap. Gets busy in evening, and parking can be a bit crowded. Did not give 5 stars because it’s a chain, and it does not have a soul of s real pub. That’s just how I feel…

They over serve people, kick them out and then write in their own tip on the check. And I know for a fact they do this to people, I actually hired one of their x waitresses and she told me they do this to drunks because they’re so drunk they don’t know the difference.

Amazing fish and chips. Good burgers. Great Apps. Had a real Pub feel. I didn’t feel like I was in a bar. Great night.

Its a decent British style pub serving bar food, beer and cocktails. Décor is nice, like being in London. Live bands on the weekends. Lots of room to roam. Been here a few times. Service seems to take awhile to find you but once they do they are pretty good. Food, cant complain. Greasy and unhealthy like it should be. Had fish and chips last visit. $ 12. Fish pieces were fat. They serve beer in normal and large sizes. Location is nice. Its a good chill spot where its not too loud or crazy. You can walk to other places from here if it doesnt float your boat.

Pretty good location. Michie had a taste for fish & chips and they didn’t disappoint. I had chicken nachos and an Angry Snakebite (Angry orchard crisp apple cider and fireball cinnamon whisky). With her meal, she opted for the Angry Bird (Angry orchard crisp apple cider, new amsterdam red berry vodka, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and raspberries). They were both good beer cocktails.
The service was a little lack luster for a Sunday night, where it seemed the bar wasn’t too full, albeit their was a good crowd on the patio, clear across from where we were seated.

I really want to like this place more. But since it is Katy and parents like to bring their babies to the bar, It can be touch and go. The last couple of times it was more like a Chuck E Cheese actually. (I kept looking for that giant mouse to come out.) Management needs to be a bit stricter about cutting down on kids running all over. Clearly the parents will not do it.
But thank you for deciding to go non smoking.

No Scotch Eggs? Seriously? –1 star. Long island teas full of sour, light on alcohol and tasting of lemonade. 1 star. A club sandwich left uneaten because it tasted off. –1 star.
+1 star for a beautiful bar and nice pub atmosphere. +1 star for tasty fish and chips. Average service… All in all, the place is right, they just need to kick it up a bit.

The bar is great for well prices. Food is typical bar food. Although the mac and cheese bites were pretty good.

Rating this only 1 star because of the horrible service I experienced today. I went with two girl friends to grab a bite to eat and some drinks. The waitress who served us was barely ever around. It took forever to get our drink orders in and the first time she came to our table she forgot to even take my food order — I had to ask another waiter for my food instead. There wasn’t even that many people at the pub on a Thursday afternoon yet the service was unbearably slow.
I was thoroughly annoyed after spending an hour there just to get food and a margarita. I won’t be visiting anytime soon.

Just gone to grab drinks with a friend… It was a few minutes before happy hour ended but our server hadn’t come to our table for quite some time. We got a weird look when we tried to get a server nearby because ours wasn’t his table. It was a Friday night though, so perhaps the reason for crappy service?
We ordered some nachos that took a while to be made as well but they were pretty yummy.
Live music was entertaining!
