23 minute wait for two shakes in a place with empty tables. Employees walking by trash on the ground. Sloppy place. Wobbly tables. Condiments left outside unattended. Bummer, ’cause the shakes are delish. Also, someone stole all the T’s and it says eddie’s Bigger Burger.

I have been to Teddy’s several times. I will write my review based upon my last three experiences. The most recent was last night; June 19, 2016. I usually order take out by calling ahead. So, I called and asked for a burger with onion rings… and I was told they were out. Bummers; but ok. Fries it is. I get there and pay for my order and was given my small cup for my drink… no small cup lids! My feeling is this; for the people that are not dining in and need a lid for their cups, give them a large cup and lid. It was a combo of things from this visit and my 2 previous that have made me rethink my decision to patronize this restaurant. A few months ago, my girlfriend wanted to try Teddy’s. So she ordered her burger well done. They usually come medium if you don’t say anything. Although I have noticed they sometimes ask you how you want it cooked. Anyhow, I ordered mine medium. It came out well done. The service was slow and the cashier seemed new; so I won’t blame him. But again, it just added to my history of poor service all the way around. The one visit that sums up my overall experience is one that happened a about 3 months ago. I called in my order and later arrived to pay and waited for my order. As I was waiting talking to my gf on the phone, the cashier came up to me and apologized to me saying that they forgot to start cooking my burger and that they would refund my money and start cooking my burger right away. I looked around, decided I could wait and told her, «no need refund… I understand things get busy, things happen, it happens to all of us at one time or another. Take the money and put it in your tip jar. I’ll wait.» She was happy and said that I was really cool for doing that. Anyhow, I get my burger around 15 minutes later and I leave thinking that I did something nice for my F&B bloodline. Well, when I get home about 5 minutes later, I start eating my onion rings… and they are cold! They couldn’t even make me new onion rings; they gave me the original order that were at least 30 minutes old! I tried Teddy’s… I really did. Maybe I will go back again at some time… but right now, Wendys is almost as good, cheaper, and faster. Even Jack isn’t half bad.

Lots of different variations of burgers and fries! Be aware though that the veggie burger may come out burnt as mine has been twice despite reminding them.

I wish 0 stars was an option, such a bad experience. Took 40 minutes for a burnt burger. I cook for a living & the food/service was god awful. I swear it’s ran by high schoolers with how poorly it’s being managed. Oh AND the bathroom was demolished/clogged to high noon. The employees just didn’t care. Please go to coco Ichiban or daiichi ramen. Can’t wait till five guys burgers stomps you out of the market. Never coming back.

The best burgers you can get on the island, from what I know. Even the smallest hamburger is massive. Lot of different choices when it comes to burgers, not to mention chicken sandwiches, salmon burgers, veggie burgers, etc. Shakes are killer as well. The menu is definitely a bit pricey,(Combo meals for four people can easily hit up to $ 50), but it’s definitely worth it. Servers are very friendly, and you get your food pretty quickly, even on busy days. Only(minor) cons are probably that the dining room and outside eating area are pretty small. Parking in the shopping center is a pain as well. Also, burgers can get pretty messy. Doesn’t bother me, but might bother some people. Overall, an exceptional place to eat at.

Awful service! This restaurant is run by a bunch of kids. No one was in the restaurant– 3 workers were sitting at a table socializing. One ran to the back and vocalized that she was still waiting for her food. In the meantime, I was waiting 20 minutes for one burger. As I waited, the staff spoke loudly, all barking at another worker who was just wandering around. Yikes!

Ordered the Kapolei burger but got something else. I think it was a cheaper specialty burger. Because it was a take out I didn’t know. But I would go back, it still was a good burger. My sons love the place.

Called ahead to try to place a takeout order. The girl who answered the phone, Kamalani, said«Umm… Can you like hold on?» So I proceeded to hold. Pulled up to Teddys 10 min later, still on hold. I figured it must’ve been packed in there. Got inside. There was 2 people already seated, receiving their food. Whatever. Went to order my food with the girl who put me on hold. She was slumped over the screen with her fist holding up her uninterested face the entire time she took my order. She then snatched my money out of my hand. Horrible customer service.

Ate here today for dinner around 7:50pm-8:30pm. Ordered two Bigger burgers(one teri, one original) and garlic butter fries. Took 25 minutes to come out. Server was wandering around with our order, calling out«6.» We were given«9.» I called her over and turns out its our order. Great. I look at my burger and it’s so damn small in comparison to the first time we ate there. The first time we ate there, the burgers were juicy, thick, and they LOOKED hand made. The one we got today we’re flat, dry, and totally not«medium»(it was definitely well-done). My burger was small! We both ordered bigger burgers, but his looked larger than mine. I asked the server and they apologized, only to come back and tell me it WAS the bigger size. Yeah… sure… the patty was smaller than the bun… but ok. There was a guy playing live music outside, so that was nice. The garlic fries were great, although I didn’t eat the last 5 fries at the bottom of the basket because they were drenched with butter. While we were eating our sad burgers, a staff member was taking a break in the seat behind us. He was playing his music from his phone really loud and 20 minutes later, a female staff member walks angrily up to him and asks, «How much longer are you going to be on break for? Hurry up!!» She stomps away, the dude stretches his arms, yawns, and gets up. Only to sit back down five minutes later and do nothing… Right before we left, this lady that seemed to be the manager stormed in and started yelling at the staff. There was a long line at the register, and all the staff were just chatting and giggling together in a group. As soon as the manager lady comes close, they get back to work. Some girl staff member complains, «But we just got totally swamped!!!» Boyfriend and I aren’t going to come here again. If you want a juicy, big burger, go to the Wahiawa Teddy’s. Wayyyyyyy better.

I don’t know what they put in their burgers but it is hella good. I was really surprised that a local chain would have such high reviews but this place really had some good stuff. My wife had the bacado burger(bacon plus avocado) I had the Hawaiian. I also had a size of umami fries. Everything was juicy, and lip smacking good. The fries were a little strong seasoning wise but I think that’s the point. I still enjoyed them(though my wife wouldn’t like then).

This teddys is the most friendly on the island! Lots of Aloha in this place, from the greeting to getting my order! Aulani was so sweet and helpful when it came to ordering. He was full of suggestions and excitement! It was a great accident to come to teddys Kapolei!

Teddy’s burgers, fries and milkshakes are to die for! I’ve been to multiple locations and this location a couple of times and also had wonderful customer service at this location. Everything on the menu is good, literally EVERYTHING. I have not been disappointed once. Yesterday, my friend and I shared a combo meal– we ordered the big(5oz) volcano burger, sweet potato fries(upgrade was $ 1 for it) and a strawberry milkshake(forgot how much the upgrade was for this). The burger was juicy and saucy and spicy. The sweet potato fries were fried to PERFECTION. And the strawberry milkshake tastes exactly like the samurai strawberry ice cream. I believe Imua is who took our order and she was very welcoming and helpful when I asked about upgrading to fries and a milkshake. When my friend and I were done eating, Imua was already off the clock by this time, she left the same time as us and still asked us how we liked our food and also threw away our trash without us asking. Friendly, local, cool people work at this location so it was really nice. The AC was also REALLY cold, we were glad cuz it was really hot and sunny. And since we came around late lunch/early dinner at 340pm, it also wasn’t busy :) Food and customer service deserves the 5 stars!!!

Don’t know why I’ve never left a review over here, but this is way long overdue. I’ve been here maybe 4 times total within the last 2 – 3 years, because I’d choose Daiichi over burgers. I went in on Saturday to pick up something to eat before I headed back home after getting my nails done. I came in at a bad time, cause it was lunch hour & the line was LOOOONG, like line almost do the door by the time I got there. I ordered a Kailua burger which is a teri burger with swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms, along with a nutella shake. For just a combo meal and to upgrade my shake, my total came out to $ 16…for just me. Which is also another reason why I try to stay away. its a little pricey. Waited about 10 mins for my order, which went by pretty quickly. Nutella shake wasn’t that great, I’ve had better shakes elsewhere. Got home, and I dug into my burger. Seriously didn’t like the fact that it was DRENCHED in teriyaki sauce, to the point where my buns were all soggy. It was yummy, despite the fact that I practically was eating teriyaki soup with a side of a burger. Customer service is pretty good here, they greet you as soon as you walk in, and they deliver your order to your table if you’re eating there. While waiting for my food, I did notice that no one was by the register, even if there was clearly a long line of people waiting to order, which is one of my pet peeves.

This is an ok chain burger joint, this one in particular, because it has a few things that could get better. The menu is very diverse, and has a nice choice of fries. Personally I recommend the garlic butter fries or the umami, but other than that the burgers are ok and can hold their own. What makes this place middle of the road is that for the product they are trying to sell, the juice is not worth the squeeze. The management aspect could get better, and you can see it in the messiness of the store when it picks up, and the backed up orders as well. Not that I’m a manager of a burger joint or professional, but in comparison to other businesses, it needs to get better.

Burgers always come out juicy(although we may get it well-done instead of medium rare as requested) and packed with flavor. The workers are friendly and always have so much energy. Though the line can be long, it moves along pretty fast and there’s always seats available at this location. Absolute favorite burger is the Kilauea burger. Sometimes, we’ll add mushrooms to that. Along with our burger, we like to get either the garlic fries or the umami fries.

Umami Chicken Tenders with regular fries – pro: the flavor is delicious! Garlic butter, furikake, sriracha… what’s not to enjoy? Con: tenders nearest bottom of basket are overly saturated with melted butter. Kids burger with regular fries and kid chocolate shake – pro: perfect size for little mouths, choice of fries, and option to substitute fountain drink for yummy, thick milkshake(with upgrade surcharge). Customer service: pro: staff was kind, diligent to cleaning used areas and serving guests seated at table, food was prepared in a timely manner and accurately. Overall, our visit to Teddy’s went well. It’s a casual burger joint anyone can drop into for a quick bite, and that’s exactly what we were served.

Do you believe in love in first bite? I was never a believer until I sank my teeth in a Teddy’s Bigger Burger. Fresh, quality, pride of Hawaii(Yup, it started here), comradery, America just oozes out as you bite in to one. Teddy’s only uses 100% fresh chilled ground chuck with no fillers or binders. The burger is always made to order. The produce arrives fresh every day. At this location quality and customer service is held high. These are a few reasons that I have never fallen out of love with Teddy’s. But what made me swoon over them this past week? TEDDY’S BIGGERBURGERS in Kapolei GIVESBACKTOTHECOMMUNITY My oldest son told me that his school was doing a fundraiser with Teddy’s that they would give back 15% of whatever we ordered. When he told me the news I was doing a little dance in my head, because I knew my husband would say yes. As we arrived the manager and staff quickly greeted us. I found out when I arrived at the store, that every single customer that came through the doors, a portion would go back to my son’s school. My son is in middle school now and we have been to several fundraisers similar to this. They usually needed a special flyer or needed the customer to mention it. Not at Teddy’s. That truly warmed my heart! EXCEPTIONALCUSTOMERSERVICE The manager noticed that there were people gawking at the menu. He asked if it was their first time, they said yes, and he gave them a cheerful run through. He did a great job utilizing the flat screen menu, the pictures that surrounded the cashier, and welcoming them for the first time. He gave me the same phenomenal service when it was my turn :) Good things come to those who wait: It does take time for your food to come out, since everything is made to order. But while I was there I noticed that the other employees had the same charisma as their manager. They greeted guests, answered their questions, smiled, and went the extra mile to give a memorable dining experience. I saw staff opening the door for guests, offering to take big takeout orders to the car, handing out wet naps, engaging with guests who were dining in… Geez, I could ramble on and on of how well they did! TEAMSPIRIT I also noticed that they engaged well with each other. Staffs were encouraging each other. Telling cooks in the back good job, keeping open communication, and as the night got busier everyone continued to work together . MYFAVORITE items to get: That night we decided to do take out with Teddy’s Bigger Burgers was, «Back to the Future Day.» Yeah, folks we made it to the future on October 21, 2015. Sorry no flying cars, hoover boards, or self-drying jackets as of yet. If you’re an 80’s baby you have to watch the movie, «Back to the Future.» So my son’s fundraiser could have not landed on a more perfect day. Watching the 1st movie(there is 3) while biting on a Teddy’s Bigger BACADOBURGER, munching on GARLICBUTTERFRIES, and sipping on a chocolate shake was just perfect. The first movie takes place in 1955 and when I would dine at Teddy’s it would always take me back to one of my favorite movies of all time. Bacado Burger– You can choose your bun between potato, wheat, or lettuce wrap. Your bun gets toasted with garlic butter. Mmmmm, garlic butter. You know how some places you ask for an avocado with your burger and they give you a slither. Teddy’s, does not skimp on the avocado. They give you half of it! This burger also comes with thick, crisp, sweet & salty, bacon. They grill cheddar cheese on the burger. This burger also has teddy’s special sauce, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. Shakes– Teddy’s shakes are hand scooped and extra thick. I have tried a bunch and enjoyed them all. I have tried vanilla, chocolate, kona coffee, chocolate peanut butter, and pineapple. You can also make it into a float. Fries– My favorite are the Garlic Butter Fries. You can see the garlic pieces and it comes out crisp. I’m sure you’ll be safe from count Dracula for days when you eat this. Environment: Inside was nice and clean. There is an outside private lanai. It’s a mix of 1950’s flair with a modern spin. They have LED menus, TV’s and USB charging stations at every table. I took a picture of the cool artwork on the wall. LOCATION: This business is located in the Kapolei Village Center. At the cornder of Kapolei Parkway and Wakea Street. The same mall where Foodland is located across of the new housing. Parking: There are several other great businesses here and it can get tight. Overall: I love everything about Teddy’s except the price(the reason for my 4 star). I understand that they give quality food. As you can see that doesn’t hinder me from returning. I’m glad that they give an iDcard discount and military discount.

Teddy’s is definitely my favorite burger on the island and I’ve been to pretty much all of them. Since moving back to Makakilo I’ve been hitting up this one quite often. Like the other Teddy’s, the Kapolei location doesn’t disappoint. My go to burger(when I’m watching my carb intake) is the Monster double with 7oz. patties in a lettuce wrap. I always ask for it in one of the bigger trays since I cut it up like a salad then pour the sauce over it. Once is awhile I’ll get blue cheese and mix that in. This meal really hits my burger craving even though there’s no bun. One thing that I tried recently were the Umame fries. It’s the garlic butter fries with sriracha mayo and furikake sprinkled over it. Pretty interesting flavor combo but it did get greasy towards the end. For me, I’d rather have it with teriyaki sauce instead of furikake and maybe some toasted sesame seads sprinkled over it. Just a thought, anyway.

This place is pretty solid! Flame grilled burgers, available in three different sizes ranging from big to biggest and its BYOB! This is a Hawaiian chain and they have about 11 locations around the Hawaiian Islands as well as one location and Iowa, one in Texas, one coming to California, have several openings in the Philippines and Thailand. I believe this is one of their newest locations, as this is an area that will soon have a shit ton of new houses and shopping centers in the near future. This particular location was extremely clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger and for the size I ordered is biggest, which was a 7 ounce patty. The burgers take a little while to come out because it’s clearly not fast food, it’s more of a fast casual dining atmosphere. Sort of like Burgermonger back in Tampa or Five Guys Burgers and Fries up and down the East Coast. However, I think the burgers here are a bit more experimental than the previously mentioned chains. I really enjoyed my burger tonight with the exception of one thing, which was some sort of yellow sauce that I couldn’t place my finger on. I’m not sure if it was some sort of honey mustard or a hollandaise sauce, but I didn’t like it. One last feature that I really liked what does it have a sink in the dining room the soda machine. I think it’s a nice thought to be able to wash your hands completely without having to go to an actual restroom. I just took a picture of the sink because it desperately needs some calcium and lime remover. A bit of this stuff and that sink will be looking brand new. I would not be sad if one of these found its way to Tampa Florida.
