Paintball Hawaii – Kapolei Field

This was the first field I’ve gone to since moving to the island and receiving all my stuff. The place was easy enough to find, big giant sign on the side of the road and a little parking lot. I recommend parking away from the field, they dont have a net enclosing the top of the field so sometimes a wild ball will land on a car.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They take both cards or cash. I am not sure on their rental setup since I have my own gear, but they have a ref overlooking the field and refs on both sides watching for safety and wipers. They were more involve than other fields I have been too.
Now they only have 1 field, its on artifical turf and its all air bunkers minus a couple hyber ball stand ups for the snake. The refs will fill up the droppy looking bunkers between games.
I have been playing for over a decade and been to many fields and tournaments and this field is definitely pretty well kept and maintained. Staff and the whole enviroment was so welcoming and great, I know I will be coming back with more of my friends. I recommend this field, especailly to new kids since it doesn’t have the intimadation factor like other giant fields have that I’ve dealt with state side.

…we had an awesome time at the kapolei field. roland, the owner, was extremely helpful & friendly. he established the rules right away and they were all simple to follow and made sense.
this was our first time doing paintball – but my teen daughter thought this would be a great idea for something different for her birthday. so luckily, groupon had a special and we took 12 teens (8 girls & 4 boys) –all first timers– to play. they had a blast and we only heard good things from the group, who would all go again if the opportunity presented itself! :)

–Roland (owner) works hard to ensure safety & fun for all players. He’s great!
–if you bring a group of 12 or more you can have private play on the field.
–the field space is large and offers good places for the players to hide.
–vendor provides shaded area (tent) with tables & benches for players to wait & rest.
–they sell drinks & chips for the players.
–gear is provided with cost (as indicated): safety mask, air rifle, extra holding canister, & 200 pellets
cons
–if you’re not familiar with kapolei (like my townie family) please google map directions to this place.
–it’s hot out there – be prepared to provide cold drinks and snacks for the players (can bring your own cooler).
–getting hit by the paintball pellets at close range. can hurt ALOT!
we will definitely go back again, and recommend roland and his crew at paintball hawaii to keep up the good work. this was defnitely a great groupon deal. :)
