P & J Party Rentals

I used P&J twice for a weekend party in my backyard. The first time I spoke with them on the the phone to confirm their products would fit in my narrow space. The second event was on a holiday weekend so I had to drop off the supplies to his office in Kapolei. He had a remote camera at their warehouse and verified with me over the phone that I had the right location. J and his workers were fast, efficient, and timely. The second time was a no-​brainer and booked directly through their website. Since I could tell that a few of the kids were new workers I gave the tip directly to J to distribute how he wanted to. I have two more events planned this year and will definitely use them for my events

Telephone call: the girl on the seems like she didn’t want to be there. How the way she answered and I was asking her if I was gonna get a confirmation call the day before the party she said no, I was okay…
The day of the party

They came but the first thing the guy asked for was the MONEY! Like okay MR here’s your money!
Okay so they set up and then 30mins into the party their snack shack got deflated I was like WTF! They ran out of gas for the generation like hello don’t you guys check before you guys go to a event to see if everything is ready!!? And filled??? And another thing that pissed me off was I got no apology not thing from the 4 or 5 People that were working… Plus I feed you guys and half of your workers were like sleeping and you guys left empty bottles thanks a lot
And the shave ice sucked no syrup like it was just ice lol and no condiments like snow cap FAIL!
And then I asked a worker how much longer exactly were you guys gonna stay since you guys extended my time so I can by ice? Uhh she was like uhhhhh… Telling till 2:10 and shit they left at 2:30 like hello I could’ve brought more ice for my guest.
Well anyways I wouldn’t want to rent anything from them again.

Anyways I just think that some people should know how to approach any situation that is happening in the moment not after its done.
She apologize and offered me a gc towards any rental from them in the future, thanks.

P&J Party Rental was so easy and convenient for us. Called them on ¹²⁄₁₈ to see if they had any tables available for a last minute christmas luncheon for today ¹²⁄₂₃ and just so happen they had enough to provide for us. We were scheduled to pick up & drop off our rentals from them because their drivers were booked. P&J delivery drivers made it so much easier for us and ended up delivering our order and picking it up. Kudos to the drivers and rest of the staff for making our Christmas party less stressful.

I wrote the following review on 02÷24÷15. Unilocal removed it because it was «too good» and thought that P & J wrote it themselves. They didn’t even contact me to see if I actually wrote it. «I hired P & J Party Rentals for the Mililani High School carnival that ran February 20, 21, 22. Mason and Leslie were terrific; professional to a fault. They were easy to work with and very flexible which made my job even easier. Mason came on campus and we walked through the site and he made the appropriate measurements and recommendations. A few days before the event, he came up again and remeasured the site. We had to make a last minute adjustment and he took it in stride. The day they set up, we had another adjustment and he fixed that problem too.
The team that put up and took down our tents were fast, efficient, and friendly. It was really shocking how quick they did the work. Nobody believed how quick they progressed through the job.
The tents were solid for the entire weekend. Most surprising was that they were on-​site for several hours during the event to ensure that everything was okay. We had no idea that this was included for a job this size and duration. It really gave me a good feeling knowing that they were on-​site just in case we needed an adjustment or repair for any reason. Needless to say, the tents were perfect.
I DEFINITELY recommend Mason & Leslie to anyone who needs this kind of service. Words really cannot express how calming it felt to hire people who really know how to do a job, and do it right the first time.
They are a legitimate Hawaii business on the approved State vendor list and are HCE compliant, which means they can do jobs on state purchase order and over $ 2500.

Understanding peeps at P and J. Had to cancel our order, and they reversed my cc pmt and even gave me back my deposit. But now I gotta eat crow and call back for 25 chairs. Unbelievable! Pray for me. Lol

Set-​up time stated on invoice wasn’t fulfilled (had to wait 15 minutes over from designated time frame). Called the main number at 530pm for someone to pick up earlier than what we rented the equipment for (till 7pm), since someone told us at the time of deposit, we can call earlier for pick up time so the workers can go home earlier (no problem). I was told to call another number… why do I have to call the pick up crew? Isn’t that the company’s job? Isn’t that what I am paying for?! Pick up time was 42 minutes over due. Spoke with one of the guys and he apologized, admitted to company’s miscommunication among staff workers. Spoke with the owner Perry twice, who also admitted to their error. What’s annoying is lack of empathy. Payment was made in full, therefore I’m expecting AWESOME service until the end. If the company knew there was an error or was running late, a simple phone call (which was on the invoice) to inform me the issue, everything would have been fine. Instead, me and my family had to wait till it was pitch black for the crew! I feel sorry for the pick up guys because they had to pack up in the dark. As much as I wanted to just leave your equipment behind, I didn’t because it’s not PONO. If you can’t organize your crew to be someplace on time, it SHOULD NOT be the customers responsibility to watch equipment rented PAST the rented time.

Call P&J first! I called all around and P&J had the best prices and could accommodate a last minute event. I was impressed that P&J threw in a lot of rental FREEBIES with our picnic package: Privacy screen, 2 Juice Jugs, 1 Large white cooler, and a string of lights! During the event, we had a freak wind storm that blew away our decorations and some food… but main thing the tent was still there with no damage to tent or picnic tables.
Will definitely use P&J for future occasions!

This is my second time using P & J Party Rentals (for both of my sons 1^st birthdays) and I must say that I am very pleased with their service. They were pleasant, professional and the prices are great. The first time I got the package with the benches, tent & bouncy house. However, the second time I just got the benches and tent because of finding another company that had the specific banner of my party theme. And boy do I regret using another company because the generator gave out several times while kids were in it. So I highly recommend this company and will definitely be using them in the future. Thank you P & J Party Rentals for being part of making my sons party a success!

I have a tendency to look over reviews before choosing providers, in conjunction to considering all my party’s needs. I normally select a few first, then it becomes a matter of elimination. But in this case with P & J Party Rentals, I read the reviews and was fairly confident that it could fulfill my needs. Consequently, I made an initial call to Leslie who was extremely nice and knowledgeable (I never take for granted that all proprietors are always knowledgeable) as I gave her specifics of my pending party. There was no pressure, just «reassurance» that if I chose to utilize her service, give them a few days notice, «not a problem.» I did just that, leaving a message on the weekend, Leslie called back asap. Lo and behold, Leslie with her usual sunny disposition worked out the formalities with me, leaving me thinking that I had selected the right provider. Subsequently, closer to the party date, Leslie followed up with me with the final logistics and added if I wanted to have hanging lights that came with «the package deal» I ordered (I owned perimeter lights already) at no additional charge. Since there was no charge, I took the offer. Although some might say, «Leslie should have offered it anyway, no big deal.» Others might say, it was gracious of her because it was my mistake/​fault for missing the item as it was clearly noted. Honestly, I have to agree with the latter group because Leslie was under no obligation to reveal the free lighting, assuming that I waived this equipment. With this particular aspect, I was most impressive with her, «Why you ask? It was clear to me that Leslie’s integrity and dignity motivated her to provide all that was due to her paying customers. She was forthright and had my best interest at heart. In conjunction, Leslie’s workers were respectful, nice boys who worked efficiently and asked questions when needed. In summary, when my ‘Ohana and I have parties, we like to give flowers to an outstanding provider (5 total for this party) to show our «small kine» gratitude. Thus when Leslie’s workers came by the next day to pick up the equipment, I passed along the flowers, and repeatedly reminded all the workers that the flowers were for Leslie. I am just a local girl, who believes in recognizing ALOHA when an exemplary job is done professionally! I highly recommend P & J for your next party!!! Mahalo tol Leslie and all P & J workers!

We had a blast at our fourth of July Party and I was totally satisfied with P & J Party Rentals. from ordering, to delivery, to pick up ALL OF THEM were totally full of aloha spirit, polite, had no problems whatsoever and just doing their job as such takes the stress of the host who has to plan and make sure everything goes right. Those who have to be the one calling and planning should know what I’m talking about. Having professional people understanding the customers needs for integrity and dependability that’s important, and this company has it. and then some.
The tents were secured so good too. no stress of having to worry about that.
I have to be honest at first when I read Michelle W’s neggo review I was hesitant and was on edge (cuz we have a family member like that and jus went thru all kine huhu so I lacked patience when it comes to dat kine stuff and didn’t want to have to scrap anyone *smirk* so was like «oh, please no») but nah, this group was an awesome group– no problem whatsoever … THEY GET FIVE STARS and if there were 10 Stars I would give it to them… The deposit was given back promptly too.
So if you are wondering if you should do business with this group. GO FOR IT as da old timers would say: «They Are Right on the kini po po»!!!

We were so happy with p and j rentals. Leslie was Great! Very efficient company and I highly recommend them to anyone who is planning a party. We wanted to add on chairs at the last minute and Leslie was able to accommodate us. Picnic tables, tents and chairs along with the bouncer were all set up by 7:30 am. We were extremely happy and satisfied with their work and will definitely use them in the future! Thanks p and j rentals! You guys were Awesome!

Extortionist Son ruining great company and almost ruined a great party.
P & J Party Rentals has the best prices and are attentive. Mason and his wife scheduled chairs and tables for my event with a great attitude. They were dropped off on time and employees wiped tables and cleared tape while they offloaded a trailer. One table was broken (a friend noticed it) and was later replaced by employees.
When party was over, tables and chairs were placed at curb before scheduled pick-​up. The son of the owners (he said he was the J, in P & J) put some chairs aside and pointed out that the support bar was bent. He proceeded to tell me that he had to charge me $ 120 to replace the three chairs which I could keep. He explained that previous customers have given him problems and he has taken them to court and won. I politely declined to pay his fee explaining that I did not believe I caused the damage. He accused my party goers of being drunk (party was alcohol free).
Employee became aggressive and said, «I will call my Dad and he will make you pay.» He also threatened to have his «chic» come and give us «lickens». As the situation escalated I called the police. I did not want an angry employee trying to extort money from me to be the highlight of a great party.
Unbelievable behavior that I should not have tolerated. I assume that he has successfully extorted money from other customers without the knowledge of the owners/​his parents. I was not made to sign the contract that another employee provided upon delivery and we never inspected chairs and tables.
Owner mentioned that he would probably fire his son which will be a good thing for the company and future customers. Both owners profusely apologized saying that his actions are not their normal procedures. I regret not being able to fully recommend this company. I may use them again as long as the son has no part in the transaction.

I haven’t fully planned a party in the past few years, so I was remembering important items at the last minute…
Like tables and chairs after my the tents were set up the night before the party.
What was worse was this realization hit me at 7:00pm because which party rental company is opened that late on a Friday night?
Guess where I got my information?
You guessed it! I got my info from Unilocal!
I reviewed their business info and noticed they were based out of Makakilo /​Kapolei area.
I clicked on their web link and behold… *angels starts singing*
They close at 10:00PM…
I looked closely because my contacts could have been blurry but nope, I read right! They closed at 10:00PM
Although, I was nervous that they would not be able to accommodate at a short notice-​I still dialed their number and inquired. I shared I only needed about 50 chairs and tables but I would be happy with chairs only.
Leslie said she’ll give me a call back after she verified if there were 50 chairs available.
She called back and while I was silently praying, she said they had 50 chairs and six 8 foot tables!!! They would deliver at the time I requested.
I was so relieved especially because the pricing was really reasonable!
Next morning they delivered it and opened up the tables to wipe it down for us.
The chairs were metal chairs that were in awesome condition.
I was very impressed with their entire business from their customer service to their rental items.
