Kapolei Commons

Where has this place been all my life? I love this theatre so much! First off being the townie that I am I rarely come out to the other side of the island. I heard they had reclining seats so I came asap. First thing tho again I am a townie I actually went to the wrong theatre. We drove down the kapolei strip and saw kapolei theatres and immediately thought it was that theatre. I bought the tickets and kind of questioned the décor because it was older looking. Finally I went back outside found out it was the wrong theatre. Immediately refunded my ticket and got directions to the best theatre ever. So tip* this theatre is near target and is apart of regal not consolidated.
Plenty of parking, park near target or park near the side of the theatre whatever you like. Walking to kapolei Commons very decorative and alot of seating, great place to hang out and talk story with friends. No box office outside like older theatres you have to walk into the theatre. I don’t think I saw a box office when I was inside either because I always use the self serve kiosks anyway. So when using the kiosk you can actually reserve your seats for the theatre. Whatever is in blue is available which I thought was cool. So we chose our seats thinking it was in the middle row of the theatre. We get in and had a hard time finding where our chairs were because the letter of the row in on the ground next to the chairs but it’s really small and not well lit. Anyways we found our chairs and sat down and instantly fell in love. Only thing was it was too close for us i was getting a headache. So I went to guest services near the entrance and informed them of my error in the seating arrangements and within seconds they allowed me to make the changes. So I happily went back to the theatre and sat in the back with my chair reclined to my comfort.
FYI i don’t know if you heard but the other theatres are getting crap about their chairs because it’s like a cloth material alot of bugs are in them, which I can 100% vouch for because I once went with my mom to dole we had to leave early because she was breaking out in hives and later we saw the news of possible bed bugs which she is severely allergic too. Anyways the chairs here are not of the cloth material but some type of a leather material, and before we were seated we saw a worker wiping down the seats. So if you experienced the bug thing at other theatres don’t worry here.
I wish I could give them 5 starts but, I can’t only because when we went to the consession stand the girl really pissed me off. We ordered drinks only because we just stuffed our faces with five guys burgers so we were not hungry. The girl talking our order, omg I could smell the attitude. I was so upset because she kept asking us what we wanted to drink. I swear I wasn’t speaking an alien language. She rolled her eyes so much I’m so surprised thst they didn’t pop right out her sockets. If you hate your job then quit please don’t be giving attitude to customers who were only trying to get drinks. Other that the one girl at the concession stand everything else was great. I was so comfortable I had a hard time staying up. Definitely my new favorite place and I will be back as much as possible.

Theather was great but the movie ???
After it was over we headed home, it was then I discovered that my fanny pack with my medication was missing and boy did I need them
Call for the manager to see if anyone found it
She stated we have a black bag but not sure it it’s the same one and policy states we can’t open the bag to be sure??? What!
So I said ok don’t open the bad but on the waist band is a small pocket you should feel a small canister with pills in it

Well I was getting worst so my son drove me back
I get there introduce my self and she goes in the back
She’s gone for 10 – 15 mintues my the time she return I on the floor with a lump on my head
People there were telling them «he doesn’t look good
They help me up and my son took me out to rest and let the med kick in
No compassion the only thing said to me «sir what is your last name»
Comfortable seat but these people have no idea what they can and can not do
Two people could have inventory the contents and set my mind a ease
Never again will I ever go back
Big ass bump on my head injury and they let me walk out
The headache sent me to the doctor the next day
All of this could have been avoided

Over-​hyped. Went there for the first time tonight and was disappointed. In a *brand new* theater, I just happened to get a broken recliner that didn’t do what it was supposed to: recline. Sure it’s nice and soft, but if I’m raising my legs to get comfortable, I’d expect my back to lay out with it, like a recliner is supposed to do. But nope, I sat for 2.5 hours sitting like a capital L and my neck was getting way too stiff. Brand new theater and one of the chairs is broken already? Not to mention concessions needs to work faster in getting people’s orders done. A 3 – 5 minute wait at the counter ON TOP of a 10 minute in line for a hot dog and drink isn’t necessarily a good first impression. I’ll take the drive into town (which is probably the same distance/​time for me) and go to Ward, thank you very much. Honestly, I feel like I’m being too generous with 2 stars here. But I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt because maybe I was just unlucky to get that broken chair. Still yet, something this new, things should be in working order…

I just keep coming back for more. I can’t get enough of the reclining chairs. They’re comfortable, and irresistible. They are a must! When you’ve spent the entire day on your feet, it’s nice to sit back, relax, and recline. There’s no other way to enjoy a movie. As for the food, it was ok. They had a variety of things to choose from, which was kind of nice, especially when you want more than just a popcorn and a drink. So far, I liked the bacon burger with waffle fries, the onion rings, the popcorn, and the coke icee (all I’ve tried so far). I expected a little more from the kim chee burger, but it turned out to be meh okay (bun got soggy after a while). Other than that, I’ve enjoyed all the times that I’ve been here.
What I wish they had: Ketchup dispensers w/​cups for easy handling

Love the sits and the experience while watching the movie, but as for the food service? It was absolutely horrible! They had no one outside to monitor everyone’s number. We had to wait 40 mins for 1 order of cheese burger! That’s ridiculous! We missed the beginning of our movie due to the fact you have to be outside waiting for your order number to be called! If you don’t wait out there? They take the food back into the kitchen. What they should do is give people a buzzer and when their order is ready they can come outside of their movie and grab their food! Come Hawaii! Let’s get with it!

I love the reclining seats, but the seats down below are way too close. You are looking up most of the time. Let’s not even talk about the line to the concession. How do you have only four people taking orders in a theater this size? I guess that’s why our movie said it started at 7:40 but really didn’t start until 8:00 because people were in line. I’ll continue to go to Ward thank you.

The new scenery in the leeward side is a nice touch! Comfortable seats, VERY spacey and very nice and clean. Line for our tickets were not bad at all, seating arrangements are alright, however when you have a party of 3 or more and there aren’t any seats you are either forced to sit apart or forced to watch a later movie. DONT EVER SIT IN ROW A lol huge mistake, but my family took it because it was the only one they had available, we took a showing 3 hours later and those were the only seats left so we went with it. Huge mistake! Sore neck and it felt like we were literally in the screen! As for staff, I know it is very overwhelming and chaotic but they should have expected that! We were very polite & patient but we were still treated poorly, asked for popcorn boxes and had one of them tossed at us, boy gave me my change and practically slammed it in my hand, if I was having a bad day I would have snatched him over the counter because that’s how bad his attitude was, my husband had to walk away to avoid confrontation. When buying my ticket I asked the girl nicely for a rewards card, she got irritated and frustrated because she had to get a manager to do it for me– managers however were super nice after I explained to them how those 2 were. Other than that my family enjoyed the surroundings. Please work on your «CUSTOMER SERVICE»

What a treat! This new theater is modern, beautiful, and extremely comfy! We went to watch Jungle Book on Monday night. Yes, it was crowded due to it being new and different but we bought our tickets online and were given a free drink and popcorn with our online purchase! Totally awesome considering theater prices.
Unlike, other theaters here on O’ahu they have a lot more of a food menu to choose from. I got a bacon cheese burger and waffle fries for around $ 8. The burger was extremely dry and my fries were cold. I’m guessing the reason it took 45 minutes to receive our order is bc of the large crowd. This is the only reason I couldn’t give 5 stars.
The theater seating is better then my Lazy Boy recliner. They’re automatic and recline almost completely back. When you purchase your ticket you are given an assigned seat. I thought this was a great idea considering the amount of people. At least we knew no matter what time we got to our screening we wouldn’t have to stress finding a seat together. Especially bc there were 7 of us that went.
Honestly, now that I’ve experienced the Commons I don’t want to go to any other theater here. Thank you Hawaii for finally getting with it

I don’t think they were ready for the crowd of this weekend. I went on Sunday ⁴⁄₂₄ with my two kids to watch Jungle Book. I bought tickets online which was smart and very recommended! The lines to buy tickets were two hours long. I got there at 12:45 for a 1:10 movie. The concession line I was in from 12:50 until 1:08 and I moved only 20 feet. There was still about 100 people in front of me. Told my kids sorry no popcorn and we went in. I got the second row even after buying my tickets Saturday night. Terrible its way way to close to the screen. But seats are comfortable and awesome they just need to takeout the first few rows.

Great to be able to experience a new theater with good company. Clean and comfortable chairs. Hope it stays that way!!! Im speechless, simply amazing and gorgeous, especially with the water set up in front.

Are you excited about the improvements being made at Kapolei Commons?!! Well, I AM!
I was very surprised when Kapolei Commons was built years ago and all the shops inside with great parking spaces! We have all heard the rumors of having a Regal Cinema, and now one is up and running! So when is 24-​Hour Fitness jumping into the rumors of being built?
Love the Easter Events and Snow Day events! Continue to help the community Kapolei!

I really wish I lived in Kapolei.!! I would come here every day!
I remember when I was in high school, (a very LONG time ago)
I remember watching the news re: the plans/​development at Kapolei, which is the second city. Kapolei is the second city. Wow! I now see it as the second city. this second city has everything! (starting to… mostly everything!!) At that time, in high school, I just couldn’t wait for the second city & now 2016, its here!
If I had a choice to move, I would pack up my stuff and move here, to Kapolei.
I always try to squeeze in/​make excuses to drive out to Kapolei, for Kapolei Commons, of course. I always enjoy hanging out on this side, wether it is to eat breakfast, have lunch, shop, shop, or shop or shop!
I do look forward to my staycations out in Ko’olina– which is another reason for Kapolei Commons!
Kapolei Commons is my favorite shopping complex.
Kapolei Commons is huge & there is still room for more future shops!
Parking –you don’t have to worry! There are lots of parking, I never had a problem with finding a stall. The only worry I have is where to park?
There is something for everyone here, ex. if your other half, son, daughter, doesn’t want to go with you to Target, they can always split up and meet up with you after. I do my shopping at Target– (usually need 2 + hours) while my other half, son, daughter will go shop at Sports Authority or Ross then they will head back to hang out at Starbucks @ Target, while I continue my shopping. This is happiness when I have more time at Target and everyone is happy!
Besides Target, there are many dining, home, clothing, apparel, beauty & health, pets supplies, technology, options to choose from.
& the next best thing, that is new to Kapolei Commons is the theater, Regal Common 12,
now I really want to make a move to Kapolei.!!

Cool little shopping center. Not to far from the Marriott Ko Olina (maybe 10 minutes away). Has a Target, Genki Sushi, Ramen, subway, Aloha Salads… Just to name a few stores.

I LOVE Kapolei Commons! All the evil places I love to shop at is located in place. (Do you know how evil it is to have Target, TJ MAXX, Ross and Cookie’s Clothing Co. in one place? It’s like they made this place thinking of my shopping habits. EVIL!) Warning for all the men with a girlfriend/​wife In a couple of months we will have a Regal Cinemas open! YAY!!!

What I love about this place is how easy I can get shopkick points walking from sport’s authority to Target. I’ve gotten free e-​gift cards thanks to the shops being close by. Anyhow, If you are wondering what Kapolei has, this place has all your shopping needs. Overall, this little shopping center has all your shopping needs in one place. I may be a little bias, but we have the best Target on the island too lol ^_^*

During certain times of the year/​holidays, they hold events in the area in front of Down to earth. They have held egg hunts, snow days in the past. I suggest you come real early as they do get crowded fast.
I’m also excited that they are building a new movie theater that looks to be opening in the next few months (Spring 2016) that’ll be located on the far side next to BOH. It’ll be home to new stores such at La Tour Café, Gyu-​kaku, and a higher end restaurant owned by Chef Roy Yamaguchi named Eating House 1849.

Kapolei Commons, you will never have trouble finding parking here!
I love the spacious feel, and the shopping centers here, always updating with new tenants.
It’s sorta far from home, but I love to shop here and go to Target, and eat at Kua Aina’s Burger.

Kapolei Commons is a shopping center that has several mainland chains of department stores and restaurants. There are some local businesses and a moolah branch located in the area.
I rarely come to Kapolei Commons unless it is on my day off from work and I just want to browse the stores for the first time. I noticed that there is a Hickam Credit Union ATM located near the restrooms.
At Kapolei Commons a person will find:
Down to Earth — health fanatics can shop here for their goods.
Ramen — Ya – Sapporo Ramen noodles are used here
Verizon Wireless — cellphone provider
Coldwell Banker — real estate agents.
Pier 1 Imports — home decorations from pillows, silverware, picture frames, and even animal statues.
Petco — everything pet related from clothing, food, and accessories. You can also purchase a rabbit, guinea pig, parakeets, mice, turtles, fishes, or adopt a cat.
Office Max — office supplies for school, home, or work. Computers, printers, cellphone cases for iPhone, and daily planners.
Ross Dress for Less — clothing store for kids, women and men. There might be some home decoration items and pet items that can be found here.
Sports Authority — for active person involve in sports whether it’s indoors or outdoors.
TJ Maxx — another spot for clothing and home decorations
Target — grocery store, clothing store, and there’s a Starbucks located in here for all you coffee drinkers.
There are other establishments here like Cookie Clothing Company, Menchie’s, Denny’s, Ruby Tuesday’s, and KuaAina Burgers to just to name a few.
If and when you are in Kapolei then stop by and browse or shop at the many establishments here in the area.

Literally, as good as it gets here in west Oahu! Anchoring tenants at Kapolei Commons is Target, Sports Authority, TJ Maxx, Ross, Bank of Hawaii, Ruby Tuesday, Denny’s, Kua’aina Burger, Down to Earth, Ruby Tuesdays, Pier 1 Imports, Massage Envy, Gengki Sushi and a few other smaller shops to boot. Coming soon will be a movie theatre that will most probably shut down the Kapolei Theatre.
No qualms about parking as it is good and plentiful. Unlike some shopping centers in town and out-​skirting cities, parking is spacious and not a maze of uncertainty.
The place still has space to grow a few more tenants but as of today, the Commons is the place to shop for west Oahu-​ers. West Oahu could stand to get better restaurants and variety when it comes to dining but I’m sure with the upcoming Ka Makana Mall those needs will be fulfilled.

This place brought Target to west Oahu. The outdoor mall has a simple layout and lots of parking. Access is super easy from major roads and they are neighbors to Costco and Home Depot. The tenant list isn’t unique or exclusive but is a cluster of popular and convenient selections. There’s no food court but a handful of restaurants.

They’re planning to build a few outlet stores in between the pad sites along Kapolei Parkway and the main building wing. There goes the plethora of parking.

For some reason, this mall reminds me so much like a mainland mall. I think it may be the design. I grew up going to Ala Moana Center and Pearl Ridge Center. This is quite different with its single level design.
There are quite a number of wonderful places to shop and dine at here including Down to Earth, Target, and Ruby Tuesdays (my favorite places to visit!).
Parking is plentiful. Driving is recommended because everything is so spaced out. Other businesses include and are not limited to a T-​Mobile store, Aloha Salads, Denny’s, Ramen-​Ya, and Nordstrom Rack.
