Specialties
Kalaeloa Raceway Park specializes in motorsports, car shows, cruise nights, and specialty events that cator to automotive and racing enthusiasts!
In addition, we also feature a family-oriented environment dedicated to developing and mentor youths in a safe, controlled environment.
A grassroots volunteer project, KRP is now holding its first events after a three and a half year development process. Located just off of Coral Sea Road in the former Barbers Point Naval Air Station, KRP is nestled comfortably close to Kalaeloa Airport, which provides a sensible location to conduct motorsports.
KRP is currently open only during specific event weekends. Please check the official website’s Calendar for upcoming event dates along with admission prices and hours. Any questions or concerns may be directed to the Track Coordinator, Michael Kitchens @ (808) 782‑7432.
History
Established in 2010.
KRP is envisioned to provide a temporary home for the majority of Oahu’s displaced racing community since the closure of Hawaii Raceway Park (HRP) in April 2006. The park, when fully constructed, will support multiple venues at the same time including drag, dirt, drift, road, moto, and go-kart racing. KRP is being designed with ample runoff room, easy ingress and egress, as well as improved parking and track layouts. The park is also expected to have a sizable impact on the local economic and social economies as well as offering a safe alternative for improving driver skills and promoting family-oriented activities.
KRP is currently holding off-road racing events such as HulaCross & Sand Drag Racing, but will develop new events as the park is completed.
