Fresh Aloha Direct

I like that I knew what would be in my produce box and that there were a couple different box options. I choose zukie. For about $ 30. It was FULL of FRESH veggies and fruit from aloun farms. It was heavy! Minus one star only because they do not have home delivery.

Just spoke with their customer service and I’m pleased to say that they were very apologetic about the onions and offered me not one, but three courses of compensation. Mahalos Aloun Farms!

This was my first time trying out any of these CSA boxes and I choose the right company to go with! Their website was easy to navigate and showed me what was in the different boxes, Da Broc, Holiday Harvest and Zukie. Their pick up locations are convenient and the ordering process was super simple. I picked up my «Da Broc» box yesterday and it was full to the brim with almost everything advertised. It was just missing the corn, but I got bak choy as a substitute which was perfect because that was what I had wanted anyway. The box was heavier than it should’ve been and now my only problem is figuring out how to utilize all these fresh, organic ingredients into different meals. If I had purchased this produce in the supermarket or even at a farmer’s market, it would have cost much more than the price of the box. We will definitely be purchasing more boxes!

I just picked up my first box today and I am very excited to cook up all these wonderful foods! The box was a little heavier than advertised, by about 2 pounds, and everything was very fresh. I had ordered the BROC box but there was a switch up so when I went to pick it up all they had left was a ZUKE. There were some substitutions since they were out of the cantaloupes and watermelons, and my only problem is I don’t know what one of the sub items is! Haha! It will be a surprise meal when I cut into it later. I will be ordering again for sure, I just hope I get the right box next item and that I get come yummy watermelon!

I found out about Fresh Aloha Direct after some research after I got burned by the Hawaiian Chef. Had bought a Living Social voucher for a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) box and was never able to redeem it. I was in the market for a subscription beyond the initial deal so shame on you Hawaiian Chef for losing my business before you even earned it. Anyway, ordering online was easy. I was able to «Build My Box» and pay by credit card. I like that even though it is a CSA program that there is no long term commitment and as I travel a lot there are some weeks I may miss a pick-​up. For those weeks I can put on hold or what I do is have them give it to the local food bank. The box I got weighed closer to 25 lbs. (Over the 20lb. that is marked on the box) and was FULL of everything promised. They draw from more than one farmer to create the box so there is a good selection of no GMO sustainably farmed vegetables and fruits. Will continue to subscribe, tell all my friends and more than one of their pickup points is Uncle’s Hawaiian & Organics so they are everywhere that I go.
