I’m gonna missing this place. Great fish tacos! Holy cow! Truly original flavors, great horchata too. Good for a quick grab or you can make a dinner out this. Nice portion sizes too. I’d highly recommend them!

This authentic Mexican taco truck is awesome. The fish tacos were amazing, while the carne asada taco was also great. Shrimp taco was good too. The spicy sauce they have in the yellow bottle was so good I wanted to drink it by itself. Super friendly service from this Mexican duo (one who only speaks Spanish) and they couldn’t be more accommodating for a few specific requests. Delicious cheap eats. Address on Unilocal isn’t correct I don’t think. Think it’s a little more in the 1700 – 1800 range as opposed to the 1300’s. Took a little while to find and stumbled upon this magical Mexican truck after giving up looking for it 5 mins north of where it says it was. (Actual name is El Feliz Taco)

Great food! Very authentic. Great feeling being outside and near the beach, able to talk to other patrons. The owners were Mexican, and this added to the authenticity of the food and the taste.

Happy tacos made us happy! We have been on island for almost 2 weeks and had fish tacos everywhere., these were the best! I also appreciated how they accommodated me with my not wanting the tortilla. I had it in romaine lettuce! Tasted great and made it even healthier. Their sauces are to die for as well! Must go here and get great grilled fish tacos!!!

we loved this place. Tacos (we have tried all of the kinds on the menu and the special) and tortas were fantastic. It isn’t as price reasonable as you might expect for a food truck but all in all is delicious.

This little food truck parks right beside a much more expensive Mexican sit-​down joint that we just couldn’t afford – $ 19 for some enchiladas?! So the choice was clear. Island Taco serves cheaper fare, but that’s not to say it’s not high-​quality, authentic stuff! The place seemed to be run by a teenage girl and her little brother. She was very polite taking our order and explaining the daily special which won me over. A shrimp and an ahi taco plus rice and beans for just $ 10? Sounds right up my alley. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The fish and shrimp were both cooked perfectly, and the salsa that came with it tasted just like they serve it in DF. Great prices, great location, and great food!

I got the guarache and it was onolicious! I was surprised by how good it was. I’ve eaten Mexican food in Mexico, Arizona, Texas and this was seriously good. Happy Taco = happy mouth!

Their shrimp fajita plates are delicious! We actually walked by the little Mexican restaurant next door planning to go in there but the food on the truck smelled amazing and sooo glad we tried our luck! The tortillas are home made and it comes with guac sour cream and hot sauce!

Overall very good, not out of this world good though. If going for the fish taco don’t bother with the «other fish» that isn’t good… it is very bad. The fresh fish is great. Steak tender and tasty. Tortilla’s and salsa fresh and a winner. Nice staff as well.

Note that they do NOT accept credit cards. The food was outstanding! I’ve spent 10+ years searching Kauai for good, real mexican food and this is it. We shared chicken tostada, fish taco, shrimp burrito and a cheese quesadilla and everything was great. Well worth the cost and the ladies that run it were truly aloha. Try it, you wont regret it.

Competition across the street draws the tourist, but we couldn’t resist the handmade sign for homemade tortillas on the side of this taco truck. Would go back for asada tacos! Husband really enjoyed his grilled fish tacos. Tortillas made it. Don’t expect fancy, but food is legit.

Great tacos .one of the best i ever got. and chip too… look around dont be afraid of the yellow van and the outside seat. these guys are pure. mexican and.its.shows in there food. give a try.

The tacos are happy and the customers happier. Cheap and hella tasty. Good variety of homemade hot sauces.

I highly recommend it if you’re looking some good grub on the street and nothing fancy.
I had the shrimp burrito and it was as solid as just about anything on mission (in SF) (well maybe not that good — but still), and the home made salsa is unique and delicious and gets them the extra star :)
Finally the picture of mascot taco on the truck is awesome — looks like the cousin of Towly the towel from south park :)

Great lil hidden spot! Located in front of bamboo works store! Friendly people and great fish, chicken and Asada tacos! A++
